Elevator is broken

The elevator was broken. A repairman was sent over 2 days into our stay-they had to take it out of commission as it wasn’t up to code with some sort of recall that hadn’t been addressed. We specifically looked for a unit with an elevator as the floor plan is 4 stories of steps. Which is a lot with luggage. Some lights were malfunctioning and the garage door clicker didn’t work. It was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. Location is great. The management company was responsive, but the answers weren’t great.

A Dirty House

When we arrived, it was dark outside and the "code" we had been given did not allow the door to be opened. Tried calling the people who leased the unit to us, no response. Called a phone number on the door and that company was able to open the door for us, finally. It was dark outside, the three of us were alone, rather scary arrival. Rest of our family to join us in a day. No plastic bags in kitchen garbage container, no liquid soap to wash hands in several bathrooms, no "extra" toilet tissue rolls, counters were dirty in the kitchen. The more we explored this dusty and dirty unit, the more we regretted our staying there. One of the owners called and she did arrange for her cleaners to come and "clean" and put a garbage bag in the kitchen trash can, no extras. She did apologize for our inability to open the door on arrival. There was so much broken down furniture, which was also filthy, on the various patios no one would stay outside to read on the patio or relax either. The golf cart did work and we used it to go to the beach, very pleasant. Several good restaurants in town. Glad we had no small children with us because of several broken things in the unit, screens on a door missing and the general feel of an unclean house. The carpet in the kitchen was filthy when we arrived and had pieces of paper on it. The cleaners did vacuum the kitchen carpet but did not clean it. We had to go shopping in Brunswick to purchase toilet tissue, paper towels and hand soap.

Great location, great property!

Awesome stay. The Golf Cart is a huge win. I would recommend staying here. We had 3 couples and had plenty of room.

Excellent location

This was a fabulous place to stay. Beautiful, plenty of room for family to gather. Five minute walk to the beach. Brook and William were very responsive with questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Fun Labor Day weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. My husband and I, along with 2 other couples, had a great time. There was plenty of room for us all. The house is furnished with just about everything you would need for a beach getaway. Access to a golf cart was a huge plus!! It was so useful to get to and from the public beach access. Flynn, the property manager, responded quickly to any questions we had! Overall a great stay and we highly recommend!

Great Place to Stay

This townhouse is beautiful! It has everything you need and VERY CLEAN. The beds were very comfortable and each bedroom has their own bathroom and balcony. The golf cart was a big plus. We used it for the beach, sightseeing, dinner etc. The only time we used our personal vehicle is when we went off the island. Communication with Brook was great! If we had any questions, she got back to us within 5 minutes or less. I highly recommend this townhome.

Family Beach Fun

We had an amazing time. The property owners made sure everything was perfect for our stay. Our favorite part was the large kitchen and family table. We had several fun meals there. The layout of the house is nice because everyone has their own space. The golf cart was a definite plus and it's a short walk to the beach. We will definitely be staying here again.

East Beach

Great vacation house lots of room and space for everyone. All beds were comfy, plenty of drawer and closet space. The use of golf cart with the house was definitely top feature of the rental. Much easier to get around island in golf cart than in personal vehicle. The elevator was outstanding for delivery of luggage to all the floors. The ease of checking in was great compared to other vacation experience. Communication with owners was great. They replied quickly when a concern or question arose. Thank you Millers for a great summer beach trip.

First VRBO experience and best one ever!!

My family and I were taking an incredibly last minute trip and they were able to accommodate us very quickly. The house was everything we hoped for and more! It easily fit 8 of us with extra room and there was absolutely everything you could ever need right in the house. It is perfect distance from the beach and the property comes with everything you need for the beach as well. It was just perfect!! Communication was so easy with Brook - texted me right back and even worked with us on check out which was so kind! We had never been to St. Simons but loved it so much and when we come back, we will be staying here again!!!! Thank you!!

New Years holiday

We have come to the island every year for the week after Christmas for 35 years.. Beautiful time on the island . Stayed in many houses over the years. This rates as one of the best. Plenty of space for three couples. Be aware it is spread out over 4 levels. Has an elevator to most levels. Living room area is not accessible via elevator.

Beautiful and Convenient!

The home was beautiful and in the perfect location!! We had a short walk to the beach which made things easier with children. We loved being able to walk and ride bikes while soaking up the beautiful marsh views. The owners were helpful and responsive. We had a minor hiccup in the beginning but Brook was fantastic and took care of it right away. We had such an amazing stay that it was very difficult to leave! I highly recommend this stay to anyone!

Would stay again

The property look just as described online. The elevator was a little creepy but of course we did not use it. The multiple locked doors was a little excessive as well. It was additional doors everywhere and the TVs in 2 of the rooms were the size of a tablet. They were smaller than a laptop screen and I think they just brought down the aesthetic of the rooms. Out of 3 bedrooms only 1 had a normal size TV… maybe 42-50 inches. The other 2 room TVs were maybe 20 inches. But other than that we enjoyed it and would stay again. Hopefully the small TVs will get upgraded soon. Great Location. Will be returning

A great place to stay when going to St. Simons Island. The host was very responsive and helpful! We had problems with the internet and tv (as you could only use the tv if the internet was working) and the host and his wife tried to get it fixed but ultimately ended up giving us a lot of their time and a little cash back. I am overall happy with my experience and would go back again.
