Sant' Agata Disaster
This was a horrible experience. The owner said some work on the pool was going to be done several months ahead of our stay but assured us it would be complete. Then told us shortly before visit everything else was complete but pool might not be done. When we arrived the place was a wreck. it was under construction. There were open electrical outlets and the main floor and terrace looked nothing like the pictures. There was construction materials everywhere and everything in the kitchen was out on the counter being cleaned because everything was dirty and dusty. Also, the road to the house was nearly inaccessible. A very narrow steep lane that was two way. The parking was supposed to be adequate for 2 medium cars as explained by the owner but it would be nearly impossible to navigate with even two very small cars. We were not able to stay there. The owner cancelled the reservation and we were homeless in Italy and had to scramble and pay thousands of dollars to find a place to stay at peak tourist season. I would not recommend this location even once the construction work has been completed. The pictures do not tell an accurate story for this location.
