Wonderful thanksgiving at Texas River Haus

Our whole family had a fabulous time staying here. This well-cared-for older house on the Guadalupe was spotless and spacious with delightful river-themed decor. The fully stocked kitchen had everything needed for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner. Plenty of beds for the whole family with a bunk room and sofa bed in the upstairs TV room. We enjoyed S'mores around the outdoor fireplace, and the kids caught dozens of fish even in November. The only thing we'd suggest adding is lighting on the boat dock for late fishing. Can't wait to return!

Sister birthday gathering

The house was very clean and had a full kitchen. The river view was fantastic with lots of nature all around. It had plenty of room for 8 adults and 1 child. The decks at the water had plenty of chairs and 2 wonderful rockers. The outside porches needed a little house keeping but that would not stop me from using the house again for a family gathering.

Wonderful graduation weekend

Property was excellent. Was able to accommodate many family members who were able to explore various interest while still creating a communal and friendly environment. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay.

Wonderful Home!

Our family enjoyed our time at Tejas River Haus! The home is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The layout is perfect, our kiddos took the upstairs, my husband and I had the downstairs to ourselves. The dock was our favorite place to gather, make sure to grab yourself tubes to float!

Great family spot

Great house, nice river front not really for swimming it’s deep and boats and jet skis are constantly coming by fast. Great for fishing or just hanging out. The house was really clean and tidy the 2nd living room with tv worked well for the kids watching their own shows. Great access to things near by everything you could need within a 15 min drive from the house.

Loved the house and the river. Caught a ton of fish. Ended up renting kayaks from a local shop (it would have been better if the property provided kayaks).

Eclipse Family Reunion

Our stay at Tejas River front house was wonderful! The house was clean and accommodating. The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook, and the river patios were very nice to sit out on to relax, fish and swim. We also loved using the outside fireplace too. We would definitely love to come and stay again.

What a great place

Beautiful home and very nice property. Great layout for a big family or small group. The deck over the water provided good fishing and swimming. Lots of space inside and outside. We will stay here again next river trip.

Incredible stay

Clean, spacious, stocked with everything you could need! We had an amazing stay…the cherry on top was the peaceful mornings and evenings on the dock! Communication with the owners was quick, professional and efficient! Highly recommend! Will come back!

July 4th

We had a wonderful stay here for the 4th of July. There was plenty of room for all 12 of us. The house is very clean and it is just steps from the river. We brought rafts and tubes and tied them all together and tied the rope to the railing so no one floated too far out in the river. There are boats and jet skis that come by this area. The area to float the river is just about 10 min away. And, Schlitterbahn isn't too far either. It was a wonderful week with family.

Two days and wish it was more!

We really enjoyed our 2 day stay here, as it was perfect for the start of my daughter's trip back to Texas, which included 3 of her friends. We had plenty to do there as well as locally, enjoying San Antonio Sunday night and the San Marcos river Monday. Would definitely recommend this location for anyone in a party between 8-12 people, as the rooms, beds and property allows for plenty of together or separate time.

Great Atmosphere and Location, Location, Location!

Our stay was wonderful! The Atmosphere was quiet and offered plenty of places to "Hang Out". The Grille was clean and ready to use. The house had so much Room and the access to the water was wonderful! We will be back next year for sure! This was a trip to celebrate 6 young ladies High School Graduation and it was perfect!

Perfect Family Time Spot!

We spent 4 wonderful days here with family and friends. The house is a great size for a large group. The home was clean with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Being right on the river was really nice. Although it was winter during our stay it was great to use the outdoor fireplace, perfect for making smores and keeping you warm at night. Not far at all from town but just far enough away from all the city life/traffic. I would certainly stay here again!

Everything was great, the only note I wanted to note was it took the refrigerator overnight to cool everything down. We put drinks & condiments at room temperature & 5 hours later they felt the same temperature as when we put in. Other than that everything was great & we would love to stay in another property in the future. Thank you.

Exactly as expected!

This property was exactly as described. We had no issues. The house was very clean and organized - super helpful to have all the light switches & ceiling fan switches labeled! Kitchen was well stocked with basics. Bedrooms were spacious & comfortable. Living room had a cubby of board games the kids enjoyed. Easy access to the river.

Seniors at the VRBO on the River.

Our group of seven seniors (ages 65 thru 72) enjoyed our time in the house. The layout and furnishings were convenient and comfortable for our group. The in house entertainment equipment was a challenge for us and the wi-Fi was too weak for consistent streaming to the tv. Dish washer baskets were broken and the ice maker did not dispense the ice.

River Haus

Location was good close to restaurants. Plenty of room for large family gatherings. Was beautifully decorated. Wasn’t as clean as thought it would be. Windows were very dirty making unappealing. All other vrbo’s we’ve used are spotlessly cleaned. So a little disappointed. Also master bathroom shower floor was very slick, my husband fell, purchased our own bath mat for you our safety. Overall did enjoy our stay.

Tejas River Haus

The house was well provisioned and we enjoyed the house. A problem with the stairway light was resolved to our satisfaction. The lock on the entry door from the garage failed and locked us out if the home one evening. The emergency number representative was very rude. A repair man was supposed to come the next day - they didn't show and we didn't receive a call. To get back in the house we had to retrieve a key from a lock box. The lock box containing the house key was jammed and wouldn't open. The rep insinuated it was my fault. We finally got the box open and gained access. When we left we had to tape the box shut since the mechanism wasn't working. The fire pit area overlooking the river is perfect. Please note that the lower walkways on the river are somewhat narrow and do not have safety rails, so that area is very dangerous, especially for children. Overall, our experience was positive and we would use the house again.

Tree

Before we even arrived to the house we got a call that there was a “limb” down in the front yard. The lady assured me they were trying to find someone to take care of it. Which gave me the impression it would be taken care of before we got there. This call is what started our trip. 3 hours later we arrive at the house to see half of the tree in the yard, it was surely not just a “limb” and it was also pulling down a branch from a tree to the side of the house. That tree sat over one of the rooms so we did not feel comfortable using that room. On Saturday someone arrived at the house to check out the tree and we were not warned. They did not introduce themselves or show anything saying who they were. That was incredibly uncomfortable as girls on a bachelorette weekend and we had people we don’t know showing up unannounced. The tree was an inconvenience from the start of the trip and it sat there all weekend, no one did anything. The house was beautiful and we enjoyed a day on the river but we did not appreciate that we did not have full privacy while at the house.
