Home away from home

Everything regarding our stay in this apartment was wonderful; the location is excellent, a comfortable walk to old town and surrounding areas and a block or so to the bus station to reach surroundings. It is also 1 minute away from two beaches. The building is secure and the apartment is furnished comfortably. Special note about the sofa bed; never came across such high quality and comfortable sofa bed. The apartment had literally everything one needed, even coffee pods, spices, etc. that was remarkable. Special thanks to Valerie for her assistance and kindness. We will be back!

Perfect Spot by the Sea

My husband and I had another wonderful stay at Rudi and Diana's apartment. It is in a safe and secure building 3 minutes from the beach. It was spotlessly clean, having everything we needed for the week: comfortable bed and sofa, washer, plenty of linens (good quality), good dishware and pots and pans, air conditioning, and a great location with a view of the sea from the balcony. Valerie met us with keys and snacks to start off our vacation and made herself available quickly when we had questions. We have visited Antibes many times but this is our favorite place. Thanks to all of you for a most memorable vacation. We will be back!

Diana’s Antibes apartment

Spacious and light filled apartment. Many amenities. Valérie, who takes care of the apartment, is lovely. Building is across street from the Plage de la Salis, a sandy beach, gorgeous Mediterranean view. Fairly easy to reach the old town and Picasso Museum.

La Dolce Vita

The apartment was quite comfy and well maintained. All the appliances worked well, the cable TV had about ten English language news channels, the wi-fi speed was excellent, and the furniture was of high quality. One small caveat is that noise from adjacent apartments was not muted by the concrete construction. The apartment was centrally located to walk the narrow lanes of Cap D'Antibes and view the gorgeous villas. The beautiful beaches of Juan-les-Pins were a short walk away. Antibes is centrally located facilitating day trips from St. Tropez to Menton. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay, excellent location!

The apartment is beautiful, spacious, spotless and had everything neccessary for a longer stay. The location was great too: 30 meters away from the beach, a short walk to Antibes old town and close to all transport links. Thank you, Diana, we'll surely come back again!

Perfect Location/Perfect Apartment

My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 week stay at Diana’s beautiful apartment. Antibes is an excellent location to launch other day trips along the Riviera, but this apartment also boasts an ideal spot steps from the beach and the amazing sights/shops/restaurants of the old historic centre. We were greeted upon our arrival by the kindest, most pleasant manager (Valerie) and the apartment was spotless. I would love to come back to Antibes and stay in Diana’s perfect apartment in January or February when the crowds are likely thinner, but in this apartment, you cannot go wrong in any month of the year. Thank you very much Diana and Valerie!

Lovely stay, great host

This is a comfortable apartment in a nice location just steps from the shore and a short walk into the old town. The host, Diana, couldn’t have been more responsive and helpful. If you come with a car and aren’t used to the very tight parking garages in France, be forewarned. After one attempt to maneuver our small car in the garage, we gave up and parked on the street—and that posed no problem at all. Always plenty of spaces. We would definitely rent this place again. Thanks, Diana.

Excellent apartment and location

On arrival, we were met by Valérie. A nice lady who gave us the keys and gave us the information regarding apartment etc. Gave us a bottle of wine and some lovely fruit, nice gesture. Apartment well equipped and comfortable. Location perfect, walking distance to restaurants and bars. Beach bang across the road, result. Of course, there is also a pool at the apartments. Great communication from the owner. Highly recommend.

Great Apartment and Owner

My husband and I have stayed in this apartment at least four times over the past five years. It is our "home away from home." It is very well appointed with a comfortable bed and pull out sleeper, high quality linens, very nice furniture and a kitchen with all we have ever needed. Also, it is very clean and safe. It has two balconies which means the sea breezes cool the apartment even on the warmest days. It is near good shopping, good restaurants, an excellent patisserie, close to Old Town, and right across the street from a sandy beach with a fabulous view of the Mediterranean. The owner is very responsive and will be helpful from the beginning of your trip to the end. We highly recommend this apartment and will return again and again.

Comfortable, modern apartment steps from beach.

My wife and I spent a week at the apartment from September 15th to September 21st 2017. The apartment is spacious, well furnished, and clean. The listing description is totally accurate. It is located within a few steps of the beach “Plage de Salis” yet it is quiet and peaceful. There is a large screen TV with many French and foreign channels, as well as free WIFI service. There is a pool available on the ground floor level. There are several restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Visiting Old Antibes, where streets are for pedestrian traffic only is very enjoyable with its many restaurants, cafes, and excellent pastry shops. We also took a short trip to Cagnes to visit the Renoir museum which was Renoir's home for the last 12 years of his life. The beautiful estate contains many paintings and sculptures by the artist as well as details and photographs about his family and life. We enjoyed two very good meals at Au Bord du Cap, a restaurant around the front of the building facing the sea. Also there is a shuttle bus that stops near the beach if you wish to visit the old town of Antibes without driving. The owner Diana Shenk speaks fluently multiple languages including English and French, she is very pleasant and helpful before and after arrival. Also madame Moine greeted us upon arrival and showed us all the amenities of the apartment. We had a minor problem with the kitchen sink not draining properly and the owner quickly made arrangements to have a plumber fix that issue. An underground garage is available on the 2nd level with the apartment, but it is more suitable if you own or rent a small or compact car. There is also some parking on the street, and a parking lot with Parco meters adjoining the Plage de Salis. All in all we had a wonderful time in the Antibes area while staying at this very comfortable and well located apartment and would recommend it highly. John T. Orlando, Florida USA

Superb apartment and location

This splendid one-bedroom apartment on the Plage de Salis, one of two major beaches in Antibes, has been a singular discovery. The apartment is open and airy during the warm months, and at all times the light shoots through the apartment. However, plenty of doors can close it off to create separate rooms that provide privacy for multiple guests. As others have noted, it is very close to Vieil Antibes, a quick and easy walk, and the newer shopping areas, but it is far enough to offer solitude and quiet during the evening hours. A navette stops every half hour outside the apartment and provides quick access to the bus terminal which straddles the older and newer parts of Antibes. One of my favorite restaurants La Romarin is nearby as is the popular patisserie l'Illette. A well regarded restaurant is attached to the building; it overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. One balcony is an asset. Two full balconies, one for the morning and the other for the evening, makes for an embarrassment of riches. Diana, the owner, is a gracious, honest, energetic, and funny host. She will do what she can to make your stay comfortable and fun.

Great Apartment and Owner

We have stayed at Diana's apartment for the past two years, most recently for the month of September 2014. It is lovely with all of the amenities you need for a wonderful, relaxing experience in Antibes. It has been spotless when we arrived with a bowl of fruit and bottle of wine to greet us. The location is excellent for day trips around the Riviera and for enjoying all that Antibes has to offer. We are returning for a month in 2015. Diana is a delightful person and very attentive to the needs of renters. We could not have asked for a better experience and are looking forward to our return.

Three months in Antibes

J’adore l’appartement de Diana ! For three years now during the winter months, I have stayed in Diana’s apartment in Antibes. Would I return if I did not like it? In fact, I have already spoken to her about returning next year. Most visitors spend their time in Antibes, which is a short walk, maybe 15 minutes, from La Plage de la Salis (the beach) and her apartment to the center of town. However, I recommend also walking the other way to Juan-les-Pins. It is the same distance. There you will find a more expansive beach, more restos along and on the beach, a wonderful café called the Café de la Plage, my favorite cafe spot, where you can wile away the hours looking at the Mediterranean Sea and the sunset, if you go later into the afternoon, of course. You don’t want to walk anywhere? You want to kick back, read, get a sun tan, and not have to fuss with finding a restaurant. No problem. Her apartment is a half block from the sandy beach. In the same building on the corner and across from the beach is an excellent restaurant with a chef who worked once in a starred restaurant. On another corner is a pizza place. A short walk away (5 minutes) is a pastry and sandwich place and next to it is one of my favorite restaurants in Antibes, Le Romarin. Go to the beach, get a sun tan, take a step or two to the resto, eat a wonderful meal, return to the beach and catch a few more rays. Not bad for a vacation. My other favorite part of staying in Diana’s apartment, apart from the many, many restaurants in Antibes and Juan-les-Pins, is the public transportation system. It is so easy to take the little navette #14, which stops at the apartment building, to the train station, and then to hop a train to Nice or Monaco or Italy or to go the other direction to Cannes or to Saint Raphael and catch a boat to St Tropez. I have been comfortable in the apartment. It has a full kitchen, two full balconies, shiny marble floors that are very cool during the hot summers months, wall sized windows that can open to let the breeze blow through the rooms. Diana has done an excellent job of making the apartment a very desirable place to stay on the Riviera.

A Stellar apartment..no exceptions

My husband and I chose Diana's apartment primarily because of her exuberance and honesty. We spent our 38th anniversary in her bright and airy apartment for 6 nights and relished every minute of its proximity to the beach, shops, and restaurants. We enjoyed cooking in her fully equipped kitchen and dining on the delightful front terrace overlooking the water. Charm abounds in her apartment along with all the amenities she provides; the huge flat screen TV, cable (with CNN), DVD/CD, and free WiFi internet connection, music, telephone, and truthfully everything Diana mentions in her apartment's description is available. We anticipate staying in her apartment next year. Our friends did not believe our pictures exactly matched what she put in her description. We did not want to leave.

Great Apartment and Great Owner

My husband and I stayed in Diana's apartment in Antibes for a month during September and October. The apartment was very secure and had everything we needed for an extended stay including a well stocked kitchen, large refrigerator, nice linens, very comfortable bed, WiFi, flat screen tv, music CDs, and a washing machine. The location is excellent for seeing all of the sights while having a quiet and spacious place to return to each day. The apartment is right across the street from the beach with a fabulous patisserie a block away. Even in warm weather the apartment was cool with excellent cross ventilation. We could not have been more pleased and loved it so much we are returning again next year! Diana was very helpful in providing us with information from the minute we booked the apartment and was very responsive to any requests we had. We highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Apartment , Super Location

We should have written this before as we just loved Diana's apartment . We have just contacted her as we want to book it for a week in June 2014 Everything was wonderful- the view , the two terrasses, and the spacious aprtment , the bathroom , the beautiful china We loved the beach being just across the road It was only a short walk to old town . although the navette 14 was supposed to come , it was unreliable. . Just as well, as we needed the exercise. This is the only apartment we want to return to - we have booked every year for last 6 years on Cote d' Azur and there was always something wrong . Thanks Diana

Perfect vacation spot!

We had a fabulous vacation! My two children (age 3 and 6) and I travelled to Antibes for the first time. Diana, the owner, was so helpful. She provided us with so many helpful details about transportation, places to eat, what to do, where to go. It made the trip so much easier. On the day of our arrival we were greeted promptly at the apartment, walked through all details and access. Everything was clean, well lit and just lovely. The apartment was fantastic. Perfect location. The beaches, people, food and sights were glorious. Just as Diana had communicated. Thank you!

We love Diana's apartment!

We really enjoyed our stay in Diana's apartment. Too bad it isn't possible to give more than 5 stars! The kitchen is well equipped, the bed and sofa-bed are comfortable, the dining room table is huge, and the over-sized sliding glass doors provide for a very nice cross breeze. Our daughter really loved the swimming pool too. The apartment is a 1/2 block from the beach, and from the main road to old town Antibes. The Marché Provençal is an easy walk (as is the Picasso Museum), and the number 14 bus will take you many other places for just 1 euro per trip. Be sure to take a walk up the Chemin des Calvaire for great views of the area. We'll be returning to Antibes again, and we will certainly be staying in Diana's apartment.

un séjour encore pendant l'hiver

My mother told me many years ago, and often she reinforced it, that if you cannot say something nice don't say it. I am about to say something unkind. During my last sojourn at Diana's apartment, I requested sunshine and Diana, la proprio, did not deliver. There, I have said something unkind and broke my mother's rule. I rented Diana's apartment again for three months during the last winter months. I have stayed now for a total of six months. Even though she did not deliver the sunshine for my last stay, I have already reserved the apartment for another trip. That should say it all. I love the apartment and the location. During my second visit, I noticed small improvements to the apartment to make it more enjoyable. For example, the two balconies were improved so one can sit outside more comfortably. When I arrived I found on the kitchen table a bottle of wine and some fruit. Very nice. In my previous remarks, I noted the close proximity of restaurants and the downtown shopping area. One of my favorite restaurants, as a matter of fact, is very close by--Le Romarin. It is next door to l'Illette, my favorite bakery. Do you like to walk? Turn left at the beach and you will have short walk to the new and old parts of Antibes. Turn to the right and you will have a wonderful scenic walking adventure along the Côte d'Azur. Keep going and you will snake around Cap d'Antibes and arrive at Juan-les-Pins. You don't like to walk? That's OK because you can catch the #14 navette to downtown Antibes at the bus stop at the beach. It is perfectly placed for the residents of the apartment. Cost is one euro. Cheap. The navette runs regularly during the day. Antibes and thus Diana's apartment is wonderfully located if you like to take public transportation, buses and trains. All the trains stop in Antibes, including the TGV. Many many buses come through the center of the city. You can easily catch a train to Cannes and Nice and further to Monaco. I like to visit "villages perchés," which require sometimes both a train and a bus ride. If you are willing to learn the schedules, you will have an adventure, and it will only be a day trip. You can make it back to the apartment and Antibes in time for an evening meal at Le Vauban, mon restaurant préféré in Antibes. Rest assured. If you want to relax and eat nice meals and, most importantly, feel comfortable and safe after a day's outing, you can't go wrong with a stay at Diana's apartment.

We are from Portland and Paris. Love the Cote d'Azur, and particularly our area.

Why they chose this property

We chose this apt. because of its location and the beautiful town of Antibes, which has everything a vacationer dreams of. A charming and historic town center, with a unique and famous fresh-produce market, and endless charm, while Plage de La Salis, where the apt. is located is very calm with year-around residents.

What makes this property unique

Close to everything. Trains, grocery stores, many parks, public transportation, and buses taking you to all the neighboring town and villages. You can wear your bathing suit, add a pareo and head on out to walk across the road to a beach that is among the seven best beaches in the Riviera.
