Lovely mountain cottage!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this quiet cottage atop the mesa. The views of the San Juans and Cimarron Mountains was breathtaking! My favourite place was the deck that overlooks the valley and town of Ridgway. I met a number of people in the neighbourhood while out walking my dog. People were very friendly. A lovely mountain getaway!

Clean, nicely decorated, stunning views

We were very comfortable here, at this pretty little cottage perched on the edge of Log Hill Mesa. Beautiful views to the south, east, and north. Our dog had a great time chasing rabbits in the scrub. Owners are responsive to questions, and refunded our deposit promptly. Recommended.

Fantastic Secluded Cabin in the Woods

We stayed over Labor Day weekend, 2018, and it was fantastic! The cabin is very secluded at the top of a hill, and is perfect if you want privacy. House very clean and cozy. About 45 min drive to Ouray and just over an hour to Telluride. The town of Ridgway is only about 10 minutes away and a very cute town with restaurants, grocery store and evening activity. Absolutely recommend this place.

Great summer stay in Ridgway

We enjoyed our time here very much! The owners were very helpful when we needed them - make sure if you’re going in the summer to fill the cooling unit FULLY! Other than that it’s about an hour to Telluride. We did see a bear one morning while walking the pups, he didn’t bother us or anything but just be careful (we think the neighbor left his car open overnight and that attracted it). Would definitely stay there again!

Best place to avoid covid and AZ heat ever!

We were fortunate to spend a full month on this property. It's built above a 2-car garage with some other rooms (laundry, probably a closet) so the unit is not huge, but is perfectly laid out for a couple. Since we were escaping covid we didn't do much in town but we went on lots and lots of hikes. The cottage is equidistant from many fabulous hiking trails, near Telluride, Ouray/Silverton, and Black Canyon of the Gunnison. The views from the patio are fantastic, as are the views on the drive to the cottage. It's a great place to hike & chill! We'd definitely stay again.

Quiet escape

The property is at the end of the road on the ridge, and it was very quiet during what was a an otherwise busy travel time. There is some construction on the property but the owners kept the contractors away during our stay. The house was perfect for two adults and our dogs. We are always thankful for dog friendly properties!

Ridgway with a View

The Lamberts were very communicative and check in was a breeze. Having a comfortable place to stay and have access to a garage with all of our outdoor toys was a bonus as well as having a place for our pups was an even bigger bonus! The home was privately located and we had wonderful access to town. What a wonderful place to stay and great town to visit.

Amazing views!

We had the most wonderful week at Anita and Frank’s property! Anita was quick to respond and very helpful! The property truly has the most incredible views! It was perfect for myself, my husband, and our two year old daughter! We loved cooking and enjoying meals in the decks! We saw tons of wildlife around the cottage! The bed and bedding were comfortable and the neighborhood was wonderful and safe! Spent lots of timing walking the trails around the area and driving on those beautiful passes! We fell in love with the town of Ridgway and can’t wait to return! Thank you for sharing your lovely space Anita and Frank!

Great view and secluded

This well-kept property is at the end of a quiet street in a wooded neighborhood. The views of mountains, and stars, are amazing. The house had everything it needed. Flatlanders, do plan on a 20-minute drive up the mesa, but all on easy roads. Good for launching day trips to Ouray, Telluride, or Gunnison, and for quiet evenings cooking our own dinner.

A simply perfect little retreat, much nicer than expected!

From the time we opened the door and started walking up the stairs, we were impressed! The decor was welcoming and we knew once we got inside we would not be disappointed. The welcome note and bottle of wine was a lovely touch! The bed was very comfortable and we were surprised at how large the bedroom was! Of course our favorite spot was out on the deck overlooking Ridgway and the Cimmarons and the Sneffels range. We had a lovely stay in this VRBO. Thank you so much, Anita and Frank!

Relaxing Stay on the Edge

We spent the last week of July 2017 in the Enclave house in Log Hill Village. It is a very well designed cottage that is well equipped. The views from both decks are fantastic. The cottage is at 8000 ft, 1000 ft above Ridgway, and the weather in July is perfect for hiking with your dog and sitting out on the deck enjoying the mountains. Log Hill Village has an excellent set of hiking trails and the Ridgway Area Trails (RAT) has developed a set of trails for hiking and mountain bikes. Ridgway is a hidden jewel with a wide selection of restaurants including Costa Rican and Thai and of course the famous True Grit Cafe dedicated to John Wayne and the movie shot in and around Ridgway. Ouray, Montroase and Telluride are all close by with various outdoor activities, good shopping and all kinds of restaurants and coffee shops. All in all a perfect place for a vacation. Shopping is limited in Ridgway so it is best to stop and stock up at the City Market in Durango or the City Market or Safeway in Montrose.on the way to the house.

The mind blowing views from the Divide Ranch golf course will be jaw dropping as is the drive down Log Hill mesa. You will have incredible views of expansive Pleasant Valley and the Mt Sneffels range.

Why they chose this property

The cool summer breezes and unhurried lifestyle of the mountains will captivate you. After living in humid South Florida for almost 30 years, the mountains kept calling us back to savor its farmers markets and local produce and incredible views everywhere you look.

What makes this property unique

Close by is public BLM land and the Ridgway State Park with its 1000 acre lake with camping, hiking, biking and fishing. Don't forget to look up Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and the Curecanti National Recreation Area which are 45 min - 1.5 hr away, east of Montrose. Enjoy boating, hiking, fishing and many other sightseeing opportunities. Check out the Box Canon in Ouray, 20 min away, the little 'Switzerland' of America. Ride the Silverton/Durango short gauge railway through the gorge and near Red Mountain Pass.

Mesa Verde National Park is only 3 hr away in Cortez, and many national parks are within a day's drive incl. Canyonlands and Arches across the state line to UTAH, as well as Grand Canyon, etc.
