The size of the house & the loft were a bit worrisome. I was pleasantly surprised with the loft-the beds, sheets & pillows were all nice & there was WAY more room than the pictures seemed to show, it felt like we all had our own space. The living room is small, but we spent no time there. The bathroom was also small & cabin-like. The kitchen has everything you could think of for cooking; measuring cups, muffin, cake, pizza pans, etc. There were a lot of sand toys, noodles & floats too! Being on the beach, I would recommend bringing ant poison (at grocery store if needed), we put some out and they disappeared. There was a ton of spices, condiments, coffee, etc left behind in the house, I'd see what's at the house before running to the grocery store-which carries everything you could want. We had a boat for the week, for us a must, and found it pretty easy to navigate the area. Not much to see snorkeling-wise on the beautiful beach, but we did see stingrays, sharks, bonefish & barracuda occasionally. We did all of our snorkeling & fishing off of the boat, would recommend something bigger than the 17' Whaler, although it got the job done. The house is conveniently located within walking distance to liquor & grocery stores and many restaurants, including Papa Scoops-we opted for a golf cart, Johnny Underwood is delightful! One last note, we booked our flight thru United, operated by Silver Airways. We had a horrific experience with Silver, missed 1 1/2 days of our vacation. From everyone we spoke with, it's unfortunately typical to have flights canceled or delayed. We are currently waiting for a lost suitcase to show up! While I would think long & hard about gambling on Silver Airways, booking the Bahamas Beach House is a no-brainer. We would definitely return!
