Wonderful property! Homey & relaxing. Fully stocked kitchen. Hosts were gracious, accommodating, & efficient in communication. I would highly recommend this home!
This is the second time my partner and I have stayed here, and we thoroughly enjoyed both visits. The place is sparkling clean, tastefully decorated, and well stocked. We definitely plan on staying again in the future. Highly recommend!
This home is very beautifully constructed and extremely inviting. Bethany was great and we had no problems accessing the home or getting in touch with Bethany when needed. We were visiting from Wisconsin and after 14 hours of flights and layovers it was so wonderful to rest in such a peaceful place. The beds are comfortable too! We will be back!
The house was perfect for our little weekend getaway for our family. The decor was so Alaskan! Great location and they had everything you could need for a home away from home!
We had a wonderful time at the unit. One day was rainy and windy, so we did not leave the cabin. It was very conducive to playing games, watching TV and cooking. The in-floor heating keep the unit very comfortable. Soldotna and Kenai are close, so it is easy to make trips into town. We will stay at this cabin again when we come down to the Kenai area.
We returned to this rental. High end quality EVERYTHING! Extremely clean! Very accommodating. We stayed in the lower unit the first part of our trip then moved upstairs. Very smooth transition. See you next year!
Stayed here during our visit to Alaska and it was perfect. The property was spotless when we checked in and had everything needed for a great stay. Definitely plan on staying at this property whenever we’re in the area.
The property was clean, well stocked in the kitchen, towels were luxurious, directions to get there were spot on. The finishes were how I would finish my home. It did not feel like a rental property. It is very centrally located. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this property to anyone traveling in this area.
My husband and I spent a long weekend at the cabin and would highly recommend it to couples and families. Everything inside is brand new and high quality. The check-in and check-out process was seamless. The cabin is a quick 5 minute drive from town and easy to find. This is our new go-to place for stays in Soldotna!
We were visiting family in the area and wanted our own space. This was the perfect home away from home! The neighborhood was quiet, the house beautiful, instructions were easy to understand, and it was a short drive to town. I have no complaints. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it!
Great place to stay. Very clean. Relaxing. Would highly recommend

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
The host is very polite and prompt with communication. The place is just as described- very nice, quiet and peaceful.
There are two xl twin beds upstairs and one king downstairs. As there were two of us girls, we didn’t share a room.
My only suggestion is to have a king or queen upstairs as well. I had forgotten just how small a twin size bed is and didn’t really sleep both nights due to turning and nearly falling out of bed or having the covers slide off on the floor. This is not a fault by any means as the description clearly lists the bed sizes. It was just uncomfortable for me. If you’re a couple with kids, this is a perfect set up.
The heated floor is an extra bonus and the tv located upstairs in an open family room was welcome. It was great to be encouraged to unplug from the world for a bit.
Might also have been better if we had done our homework in the area. Just about everything was either just closed the week prior or didn’t open for two weeks after our stay. Just fyi- Seward aquarium isn’t open Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
Our glacier trip got moved to Monday due to weather but we were then unable to attend the sea life center due to it being closed the two nights we had planned. Again, not anything on the property owners, but something to consider when planning out a week in Alaska.
The place is lovely, fully equipped kitchen, and very clean. It also has a washer and dryer. I think the ad just says a dryer.
It also has supplies.
Very nice place to stay.
This beautifully and thoughtfully designed home is even nicer than the photos portray. Being able to login to our streaming apps was excellent. The home is very accommodating from the very comfortable king bed to the temperature control and kitchen, we felt as if we were in our own home from the moment we arrived. 5 stars for this property. We can't wait to return!
From the moment of booking everything was easy. Location of home is in quiet area away from the hustle and bustle. Daughter loved having her own room and bathroom. This place is great to use as a base to get around the peninsula.would definitely recommend staying here 😍

About the host

Our home was built in 2021 and is surrounded by beautiful birch and spruce trees. Please note that it has two units: the basement unit and upper level. This site is for the upper unit. This place is very special to us. Our primary home is near Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, but one of our daughters (Bethany Barkman) and her family live nearby. She is our property manager and your contact for any emergencies while you are staying with us. When we are not visiting our daughter’s family, we enjoy renting our space to travelers like you. It’s a great spot to explore southern Alaska and in particular, the Kenai Peninsula. We hope that you enjoy the place as much as we do. Have a great stay! Relax and enjoy, Nick and Elaine Storm
