This family home, built in 1920's, is located on the courthouse square. It has three bedrooms, two baths, fully stocked kitchen, utility with washer and dryer, front and back porch. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Perfect location for events such as Trade's Day, Christmas events, as well as a place for families to stay during holidays. A great place just to get away to relax and enjoy a peaceful small town atmosphere!

Great stay for a family - friend weekend!

Sweet house in a great location

We usually spend Labor Day weekend up in Coldspring, because our mom has some property on Lake Livingston, which is nice to visit. We've never stayed in town, but decided to give it a try. This is a charming little house with a rich and interesting history. The location is so convenient to everything in downtown Coldspring. The house is well equipped with everything one would need for a nice weekend. There was a small "Christmas in July" event going on around the courthouse square that is literally right across the street. There was live music we enjoyed from the front porch of the house. At night, we walked to the local restaurants for dinner. The town is very quiet after 9pm, as everything shuts down. Sunday morning, we walked to a nearby church for worship. The owners are extremely nice and communicative, and we would definitely come back again!

The Browder House Is The Best.....

The Browder House is just exactly like advertised. It is like a step back in time, except there was air conditioning. Reading the history of the home, that has been in the same family since 1928 was great. Trying to figure out the original layout of the home was like putting a puzzle together. We enjoyed our stay and hope to stay there again. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Surrounded in history

The owner was one of the most pleasant ppl to work with. The house is fully equipped. It was a life saver since my children were at a summer camp about 10 min away. It was clean and the thing we loved the most was the history of the home. It was touching to be staying in a house once full of family and love in the early 1900s.

Best place to stay in Coldspring by far.

I highly recommend staying here. We came to town at the worst possible time. With massive flooding and storms in the area but the house, property and owners were perfect. We had a great time, the house is very cozy and calming. The owner goes above and beyong in making the house and guests feel welcome.

Felt like home

We were in Coldsprings for the Rodeo School. This home was the perfect location and so comfortable. Debbie is the best. If you need a place that feels at home with a bit of classic charm this is it. We definitely will be back!!

Charming historic home!

This old house has been updated to feel like a luxury accommodation with old world charm. Location is perfect right on the town square and hostess is friendly. Highly recommend!

Straight from a Christmas Movie

We were in town for a family wedding and it was the perfect house. I would highly recommend staying here during the Christmas season. The house was beautifully decorated inside and out for Christmas. The town square, which is just steps outside, is also decorated and the whole experience feels like you are walking into a Christmas movie. The location is ideal, because you can easily walk to the shops and restaurants in town, which we did for drinks, appetizers and breakfast. I found the owner did a wonderful job decorating and furnishing the home. It felt like they put real care and love into the details and it wasn't just furnished for a rental house. The house has history and it was so charming to stay in. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.

Absolutely amazing!

The Browder House was everything and MORE! Not only was the house completely inviting, full of charm and comfort, but was immaculate in cleanliness. Decorated wonderfully with beautiful furnishings and seasonal decor, we felt right at home. We enjoyed a night of watching movies in the livingroom together which is extremely comfortable with the inviting furniture. Dining room has plenty of space to entertain with a wonderful dining room table...and don't forget all the great board games and books available! The kitchen was well stocked with ample dinnerware, cooking items, etc. Beds were extremely comfortable and spacious. Both bathrooms were fantastic and the clawfoot tub was beautiful. And did we mention the great front porch or screened in back porch plus the darling backyard? You couldn't ask for a better host either! Debbie was so kind and gracious, even leaving us a handwritten welcome note! Honestly, we were so sad to see our stay end. We definitely will return to this incredible home! Thank you for sharing this amazing home with us!

Perfect Coldspring location!

Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Across the street from awesome front porch bluegrass live music on Saturday morning/early afternoon. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area!

First time to stay somewhere twice!

Never have I ever in 62 years stayed at the same place twice… well, until now that is. The first time I stayed with my husband, and it was so sweet and charming I had the bring my girlfriends. They fell in love with the place just like me. Debra is so kind and communicates very well. The house is well-appointed and wasn’t missing a thing. We highly recommend it. A+++++

Wonderful home, extremely well furnished, looks exactly like the photos

Really great house, we were glad to find it last minute and desperately needed some time away from the kids after a long summer. Easily the best furnished place we've stayed with extra blankets, pillows, and a fully stocked kitchen with tons of utensils, pots and pans. The house somehow manages to be quiet and private even whjile located on the town square and nearby to quaint shopping and eating locations. We were treated to a live "bluegrass pickup session" just across the street, apparently a weekly thing. Great stay, we will definitely look to book again.

This home is right in the center of town. The farmers market was right around the corner, walking distance! Everyone was so nice and the taco restaurant was delicious

Home away from home

Lovely historic home

Loved our getaway to this amazing historic home. Owner was quick to respond and everything was just as promised. We will definitely be returning for another getaway.

Vært: Debbie Womack

The Browder Home has been in our family since the 1920's. It belonged to my great uncle and eventually ended up my grandparents home. My mother, who is nearly 95 years old, spent her high school years in this home and continues to enjoy sitting on the porch and taking part in making this a great rental.

This property is the only home on the courthouse square. It is a great place for people who have business in town, those who enjoy the special events on the square, people who don't have enough room for their guests, or just get away and relax. My family has many fond memories of this home and hope you create some awesome ones of your own.

You might enjoy the bath tub in the back bath. It is original to the home and unusually longer than most! Word is that my grandfather wanted a tub he could stretch out in. The tub and sink have been refurbished and in excellent condition.
