You wake up to the sound of birds chirping and start your day by brewing a pot of coffee. After that, you head out to the screened-in porch, where you can smell the aroma of coffee while watching the early morning sun reflecting off the lake’s shoreline. The steam from your cup slowly wafts up as you relax and sip your coffee. You hear the haunting call of a loon nearby, adding to the peaceful ambiance of your morning on the lake. This cottage is like a step back in time, reminiscent of the lakefront cottages your grandparents may have owned. It has old pine boards, a screened porch, and wicker furniture. Mirror Lake is a smaller, quieter lake. Private and comfortable, away from the crowds, while still being conveniently located near Wolfeboro’s shopping and dining. This is NH the way it used to be.
Nice size cottage with a decent yard and great dock. We enjoyed s’mores by the fire pit and plenty of time (when the rain stopped) in the lake. There was also plenty of little shops a few minutes away in the town center. We would definitely like to come back another time.
Very cute, definitely rustic but charming, definitely could have used some towels and linens due to space in our suitcase but we managed, was able to build a perfect fire by the lake but was not able to grill out that needed a little more t.l.c. But otherwise entire stay was perfect for what we needed!
We had a good time staying at the cottage. Glad there was a screen porch out back cause it rained 2 days. Fishing was great off the dock. Very peaceful and serene , beautiful view of the lake.
The lake is lovely, the cottage is rustic. It is quiet and private which we loved. We did not know until shortly before arriving not to drink the tap water and that water shoes were a MUST. The steps to the dock can be a challenge. Other than that it was a wonderful week. A short jaunt to downtown Wolfeboro as well. The owner was responsive and available for any questions.
We loved staying at the yellow cottage on mirror lake. It was what we always called a "camp" when I was growing up. It had everything I remember old fashioned camps having -- a stone fireplace, campfire pit, dock -- even the slamming screen doors. The atmosphere was peaceful and the swimming and boating were great. Although it had the old fashioned charm, there was internet, TV, a phone, and a dishwasher, and the town was a five-minute drive. We hope to return next year.
The cottage was exactly what we were looking and hoping for. Quaint, quiet and comfortable. We had one of our best vacations yet. Thank you Robin & VRBO
Robin was a great communicator even before our arrival. The cottage has amazing views from the living room and screen porch. Having the canoe to use on property was a nice addition
The cottage at Mirror Lake has beautiful views, is very clean and comfortable. It has a working fireplace that makes it extra cozy! Nearby Wolfeboro is a fun visit. We really enjoyed our long weekend!
Charming cabin with many cool older details. Nicer than photos. Completely outfitted with everything you would need for cookware and dishwater. Location is generally so quiet you can hear a pin drop. Beautiful lake for swimming and boating, lots of birds and wildlife. A loon visited regularly and we could hear the calls. Bring the chairs down on the dock in the evening. Gorgeous sunsets. Roomy, clean cabin with dvds and games. Historic area with many buildings from the 1700’s. Shops and restaurants a short drive away in Wolfboro. The quirky bookstore is a must. Only tiny drawback was the small shower stall as others have stated. But it was a slight inconvenience.
Our family had a great time on Mirror Lake! The house is full of charm and the perfect location - on the water but close to downtown Wolfeboro restaurants and activities. Our kids loved the dock, jumping platform and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. The homeowners were great and quickly answered our questions before our stay.
He and I loved the cottage/cabin.....the view of the lake was amazing, 10 steps from the screened in porch....We loved the peace and quiet, the property was so spread out...We would go back for sure !!!
The owners left nothing overlooked. From an abundance of utensils of every sort to pots and pans of every size to a variety of spare chargers to a kitchen outlet with USB ports to a binder with details on everything in the cabin: they made sure their renters have everything they need.
We enjoyed our week with 4 adults and 2 children. We spent the nicest days on the water, lounging on the dock, kayaking. No a/c but it was always cooler in the house during the day because the cabin is mostly shaded during the day and there were several fans provided. The screened in porch is a lifesaver at night for playing games and having dinner without the bother of all the bugs (some do get in but a citronella candle wards them off). It’s just a short drive into Wolfeboro (5 min) where I recommend coffee and crepes at Seven Suns, surprisingly good authentic Mexican at El Centenario and delicious ice cream and treats at Yum Yum Shoppe. My only issue was that there was hot water and water pressure in both kitchen and bathroom sinks but not in the actual shower itself- the temperature was just warm and it was harder to wash my long hair. Overall this was the perfect waterfront getaway my family needed after mostly being quarantined for months.
Wonderful, rustic, charming cottage on Mirror Lake. Secluded and private. We felt we had the whole lake to ourselves for most of the week. Lake was nice and warm and beautiful to swim in. Plenty of room for a family of 5. Lived on the porch overlooking the lake. This is a gem of a place and owners checked in a few times.
Beautiful, quiet location. Just far enough away from it all, yet close to downtown Wolfeboro.
This is I believe, our 4th time staying at Robin and Glenn’s place on Mirror Lake. For us, it is the perfect little getaway! Perfect location. Plenty of room, very clean. Great place to relax and have some peace and quiet, yet close to downtown Wolfeboro and all Lake Winni has to offer!
We needed a quiet get-away in a beautiful surrounding and found it here. The cottage is rustic but has all of the amenities you need. We spent most of our time either sitting on the screened in porch and looking at the beautiful, clean and warm lake listening to the lions and hummingbirds. Thank you for sharing this piece of paradise! Can’t wait to return!
