Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Whitecaps Cabana is a tiny cottage with big personality. Inspired by traditional fishing stages, the Cabana has been specially designed to create a relaxing and romantic getaway for couples. Its 380 sq ft interior features a king-sized bed, full kitchen, and full bath. It also has an additional outdoor shower for two. The cabana has two french doors that open onto a 300 sq ft deck that looks out over Creaser's Cove in Riverport.

South Shore Gem

Location and property are exceptional and perfect for exploring all that Nova Scotia’s South Shore has to offer. Ideal for couples and those like us who like to travel with our pet. Lovely ocean views and beautiful private beach for long walks and lazy afternoons. Kitchen is well appointed and many thoughtful homey touches like star glazing blankets and fabulous beach chairs. Even an outdoor shower! A perfect 10/10!

Another Wonderful Stay At Whitecaps

We just returned from another amazing week at Whitecaps Cabana. The design is so well thought out, and we thoroughly enjoyed the upper deck and the screened in room. The outdoor shower was always hard to leave, it's a great experience to shower outdoors. Thanks again Andy and Jacqui for your attentiveness and prompt communications!

Beautiful water-side property, great hosts

We absolutely adored this cottage! We're not new to VRBO and AlRbnb, we've been staying at rentals for over 7 years, and this one has been our absolute favourite! Amazing location on the southside of NS, close enough to small towns for shopping/groceries, fun twisty roads to drive on along the coast, lots of parks and natural beauty, and just the perfect getaway vacation. The hosts were responsive and kind, and were even able to promptly fix a small problem we were having with the front door. The space was comfortable and cozy, with everything you'd need. The outside patios were wonderful at all times of the day. Some days, we just stayed at the cottage instead of exploring because it was so nice! If you're thinking of renting this spot, just go for it - it's worth it!

Had a peaceful time.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect place to getaway for a few day and very peaceful. Even if it rains you can sit and enjoy a book. The private beach is worth the trip down the stairs. Thanks Andy and Jacqui, We’ll definitely return.

Great area.

Riverport is a great area, quiet, few tourists. Local marine shop with endless supply of nautical artifacts is extremely interesting. Rose Bay store and restaurant is fantastic for supplies and fantastic local food.

Relaxing

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this property. The weather wasn't the best, but we didn't mind at all. The property had everything we needed and can't wait to go back. The area has a lot to offer - take the ferry to the bakery, go to the many beaches, take a drive into Lunenburg, or just relax at the cottage.

Perfect Stay!!

Whitecaps Cabana was the perfect place for us to spend our week long trip in Nova Scotia! We enjoyed the daybed on the upper deck, the fire pit, the outdoor showers, and the massive comfortable bed. We would definitely stay here again. 😊

Relaxing Stay

This chalet has an amazing view and is located very close to a few beautiful beaches. Definitely recommended for couples who want to have a relaxing stay in Nova Scotia.

Weekend Getaway

Our hosts were very accommodating by allowing us to bring an extra doggy and to have a 3 night stay rather than 7! We loved the layout of the cottage and the view, it was wonderful! The only issue we ran into was the long/unkept grass surrounding the property. This didn’t provide anywhere for our dogs to go to use the bathroom without being in grass about their heads. This created a tick issue for both them and us, so beware! Also be sure to bring your own shower soap/shampoo, etc. Otherwise fantastic. :)

An exceptional property

From the time you spot the cabana coming up the lane, you will know you are in for a special stay. The hosts thought of everything you will need for an exceptional visit. Enjoyed the outdoor spaces, as weather permitted, and the covered porch when the weather did not cooperate. The cabana is located in a picturesque part of the South Shore near all you will want to explore.

A True Gem

Absolutely stunning views. Every detial of the Cabana is layed out to perfection. Everything you need is there and its just stunning. We watched the youtube video multiple times before arriving and its exactly as shown. I would definitely book again.

Wonderful experience in a beautiful propertY

This property was stunning, the views were amazing. Sunset picture in the TV set just gorgeous. I personally never wanted to leave the properties but did manage to get to Hirtles beach for the first. Some of the others did a lot of exploring of the surrounding area. We all loved the weekend. Did not need for anything, loved the little signage’s around the home. The only thing that I wanted to bring to your attention was that on Friday night a strange car came up the drive and went all the way down to the retreat. Then came up and parked behind the cars at the Summit. It was shortly after ten and most of us had retreated for the night. The only reason I noticed was because I was getting ready for bed and the motion sensor light came on. I am not sure, but I think it may have been a light grey Honda Civic. Went I turned out the light and looked out the window they drove away. Might be good to mention to lock car doors. Otherwise, a very nice special weekend with family and dear friends. Beautiful spot with view of the harbor and close to beaches, Lunenburg Upstairs area was awesome and we spent most of our downtime up there loved the outdoor showers we had amazing weather and will be back

Fantastic, unique property

Couldn’t be happier with our stay at this wonderful cottage. They have thought of everything. We cooked all of our meals and wanted for nothing. Quiet neighborhood, incredible views and scenery. We used our kayaks several times. Top quality construction and plenty of thought went into the design. Highly recommend.

This space is stunning!!! Spotless, well stocked, gorgeous view and wonderful hosts. All the outdoor space you could possible imagine and tastefully decorated. Great for romantic getaways. Will definately recommend!!
