About this property

This A frame cabin is a unique 2.5 acre getaway that is nestled in the Daniel Boone
National Forest just minutes away from Cave Run Lake, Broke Leg Falls, Red River Gorge, Morehead, and about 45 minutes from Carter Caves! You will be surrounded by nothing but nature. If you love the outdoors there is plenty to keep you busy... hiking, fishing, boating, kayaking, mountain biking, golfing, and of course if you just want a place to get away from it all this is your spot. There is a gas and charcoal fire grill to cook those burgers and roast the hot dogs. Fire pit out back perfect to roast marshmallows, eat smores and tell a few scary ghost stories. It’s a great place to escape and enjoy the simple simple things in life.

Other things to note
The cabin is at the end of the gravel driveway. The driveway has a steep incline to get
up to the main road when leaving the cabin. In the case of rain/snow I would suggest
parking at the top and walking down to the cabin. We do have pillows/towels/bed linens
available.
-We do not have any closets, dressers and/or hangers
-We do have a washer &; dryer but it is NOT for the use of guests.
-The cabin is in the middle of Daniel Boone National Forest so therefore you might see
bugs and other animals that live there.
-We do ask that guests take all the food from the fridge/take trash out and clean dishes
before they leave the cabin.

Weekend getaway

Overall good experience! Cute place. Driveway as mentioned is tricky. We didn’t have a car with 4-wheel drive and were advised to park at the top. The walk going up and down wasn’t the smoothest but not terrible.

Great stay with a well stocked cabin

Awesome property with AC. Hot while we were there so was great to have. Fire pit and chairs were great. Full kitchen with everything we needed to make 5 star meals. Only slight negatives was the driveway to the cabin. Had a Subaru, so wasn’t an issue for us, but if you had to walk down all your stuff, that would be cumbersome both down and back up. It’s an AFrame so the stairs to the loft are tight and steep. Still was able to conquer after a few bourbons. Owner was responsive and informative. Highly recommend enjoying this cabin.

Amazing cabin

We actually stayed at another property owned by this owner, but i can't seem to be able to leave a recommendation on that cabin. The host was amazing, very reaponsive, and went above and beyond. Every detail was met, cabin was clean and very well stocked with everything we didn’t think to bring. Would very much recommend. We had a much needed and very relaxing weekend.

Nice Getaway

Definitely a cute little hidden gem! Please note as mentioned the driveway is very steep and there is no way to bring any kind of trailer down of any kind. Also restaurants and grocery stores other than Dollar General are about a half hour away. If you are ok with those 2 things this is the place for you!

Beautiful Quiet Stay

The entire property is beautiful and quiet, can't hear much of anything except nature. The place was clean and tidy, Kevin provided clear directions to the residence to help navigate in, clear instructions for check in and out, very communicative during the booking process as well. The driveway warning is accurate, it's very steep and anything but an experienced suv driver or 4 wheel drive will get back up. Walking up and down is a bit of a struggle but not too bad for daily use. The stairs inside are a bit steep. Other than that the entire place was spectacular. The firepit is by far my favorite area, roasting sticks and matches/lighters are provided for use to roast marshmallows which was very convenient! Barely any phone service but the internet is very good and don't have to worry about not being able to communicate.

Fun trip to Kentucky

Great time at cabin, very fun drive to the property. Lots of winding roads ans plenty of scenery. A little far from grocery store, but it was a great location otherwise

Lovely space in the country

I stayed here with my husband and baby and it was a beautiful time. It was quiet and peaceful. There are so many view to see as you sip your coffee in the morning.As the listing says the driveway is super steep but take it slow and steady and you’ll be fine.

Outdoor Oasis

This Cabin is an absolutely gorgeous property tucked away in your own little piece of paradise. The pictures don’t do the property justice-it’s even better in person. The cabin is stocked with everything you could possibly ever need and more for your stay-everything to cook and clean, plenty of trash bags, tp, towels, soap, etc. you won’t need anything! It’s a little drive to some of the more popular attractions near Red River Gorge. But, this was our first time, and we learned that it was a drive anywhere you went on those winding country roads, but the scenery is beautiful. We would definitely recommend this property and stay again! The host was also very hospitable and kind! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.

Perfect little cabin

This little cabin was perfect for our family getaway. It was stocked well with everything we needed, clean, and perfectly secluded down the gravel driveway from the rest of the homes on the road. The owner sent great directions prior to check in, reached out on check in day to ensure everything went well, and checked in once again to make sure we didn't need anything. The cabin was about a one hour drive from Natural Bridge State Park and most of the hiking adventures we did. The drive was beautiful along the twisty mountain roads.

Exactly what I was looking for!

My son wanted a cabin vacation over a beach vacation this year so I started looking around and found this place! I read the reviews and was worried about the driveway since I drive a toyota camry but my car had no trouble going up the driveway at all. There was some loose gravel but if you stayed to the right there were no issues at all. The cabin is within a small neighborhood but the location of the cabin still puts you in a secluded area surrounded with trees. Kevin, the owner, was very helpful with communication and answering my questions. He even checked on us to make sure we made it safely and were enjoying everything. You're so close to so much including kayaking and the national forest. Our stay was packed with adventures. We've already discussed maybe going back.
