Mountain house overlooking the forrest only 5 minutes away from Tamarindo Beach. This 3 Bedroom house accommodates 6 guests very comfortably. The house has a magnificent pool nestled in the forrest where you can hear, see and enjoy nature!! The house has all amenities to enjoy, a fully equipped kitchen with high end appliances, outdoors dining, WIFi and AC throughout the house. Located in a very quiet and safe private community very close to Tamarindo's lifestyle and beautiful beaches to enjoy.
The house is located in the mountain only 5 minutes from Tamarindo. Rental car or a personal car is recommended as you need to drive up the hill to get to the house. Road is all paved and in great shape.
Rancho Villa Real is a gated community with great neighbours. It is a very quiet area with lots of nature surrounding it. The house is nestled in the forest. You can enjoy nice walks throughout the community and also enjoy the club house.

Great property for family and relaxing.

Great property that was centrally located to many beaches or stay at the house and enjoy the wildlife and pool. We saw monkeys, birds and lizards. It was wonderful.

The Perfect Spot

This was the perfect spot for us. The gated neighborhood, with security 24/7, was a very short drive to downtown Tamarindo. It had everything we needed and the concierge was quick to respond to the few questions we had. We would certainly stay here again!

We did not want to go home!

We had the best, most relaxing 2 weeks at Casa Sueno. Joustinne was a huge help in making reservations and was available to answer all questions. We had some wasps nests that were a nuisance and he had someone there within 30 minutes to knock them down! The house was just as described. The air conditioner was very nice and we saw howler monkeys in the backyard along with iguanas, hummingbirds, butterflies. So peaceful. We went into Taramindo which was an easy 15 min drive for dinner and the night market. The best thing about Costa Rica is the people. Everyone is so nice. If I didn't need to work, I would consider relocating. This house and the concierge service were exactly what we wanted and needed! Thank you for an amazing stay!

Beautiful setting

We enjoyed our time here. It’s a beautiful location—great infinity pool, amenities, and wildlife. Watched a bunch of monkey one day and saw several on other days as well as hummingbirds. Concierge that comes with the reservation was great. The main suite could get a bit warm and the Sun sometimes made it hard to sit on the couch (only place to really sit in the house) without the sun in your eyes. Grocery stores nearby and not a bad drive to Tamarindo. More peaceful than staying in town. Well-equipped house. Appreciated being able to cook and grill (needs a toaster!). Had a bit of a snafu trying to get access to the gated community but once that was resolved, no issues.

Nice House outside of Tamarindo

Pros: Modern, clean, well equipped home. Great communication by several managers of the home. Very comfortable beds. Pool was spectacular and so was the wildlife that came to visit every day. The bathrooms are spacious and amazing, plenty for our group of 6. Cons: There was some confusion about the bedroom/beds situation of the home. The listing says 4 bedrooms and also 3 bedrooms. There are really only 2 bedrooms and 1 utility room that has a bed in it, its a small room with a laundry type sink and counter. It worked for my teenage son, but it's not for a couple of adults. The 4th "bedroom" is a fold out futon below an open staircase that we used a folding screen to block off. It worked, but it was not ideal. Luckily by 12 year old didn't get much say. There is no table to eat indoors, only four stools at the kitchen counter. Otherwise if you are cooking, you eat outside. The house could use one or two more chairs in the living room, our party of 6 brought in a pool lounge chair because there is only one sofa when watching a movie. The house is at the very top point of a gated community and requires several large hills to navigate to. The road is not well maintained and has many big holes. The pool could use a grab bar for safety, it is difficult to get out of.

Beautiful home close to everything

Wonderful, modern home with all the amenities and very well stocked kitchen. The people was wonderful and the support team was very responsive to questions. Close to Tamarindo but far enough away for peace and quiet.

Could Have Stayed Forever

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was perfect for our family. The home is beautiful and pool is perfect. One afternoon we had a magical moment as a troop of monkeys made their was through the trees in the backyard and stayed to munch on leaves. The location is perfect. A short, easy drive to Tamarindo but far enough away to feel peaceful. I highly recommend this property and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Tamarindo August 2023

Beautiful property that was a 10-15 minute drive to the beach, depending on traffic. We stayed 5 nights. Well stocked kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms. We very much enjoyed the pool and nature (lizards, monkeys, hummingbirds, insects, and flora.) Check-in was challenging: finding the house (a pin was dropped but it was slightly off and the roads are in rough shape.) The upstairs AC struggled and the last night we all slept downstairs. There were a few issues that were resolved immediately by the local host. He was very quick to respond to texts. Perfect if you are looking for a place out of the way but still close to the action.

Beautiful Property in the Jungle

This house was very nice and the location was perfect for us. We didn’t want to be in the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo so we chose this property. It’s about 15-20 minutes away from the beach. But only 5 minutes from restaurants, bars, grocery stores and much more. We really enjoyed the pool and just relaxing at the house. The house is legit in the jungle. So bugs inside the house should be expected. Small ants and such. No big deal. Everything worked perfectly and was clean when we arrived.

Wonderful Costa Rican Dream House

I packed my toddler up and we headed to Costa Rica. The house was more amazing than the pictures. The home is situated in a gated community right outside Tamarindo, very convenient to get to downtown within 7-10 mins. You definitely need a car, the home is up a few hills and is walkable but it is a struggle. There are sodas nearby (quick restaurants) lots of supermarket options right by the house. Peaceful, all the amenities, the house staff & the concierge are amazing and responsive. You will not regret booking this home.

Beautiful Property and A Perfect Stay

The property was exactly as described and even more lovely than we expected. It really felt like a home away from home. The concierge, Olga, was super helpful with information, booking excursions and organizing a private chef for one of our evenings. The private chef, Luis, was absolutely fantastic! It was just our family, me, my spouse and two children. We all had our own spaces and the rooms were beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The outdoor pool and patio were just ideal, with a lovely salt water pool, which we made use of almost everyday. The house is located just a 10 minutes drive away from Tamarindo and beautiful beaches. The real treat was on our last day, the howler monkeys came close enough to the property for us to observe them really well! But we also had a resident patio Iguana and too many hummingbirds to keep count. We would definitely recommend this property and would return again!

Breathtaking

This property is such a dream! It’s completely private and exceptionally well maintained. The location is perfect as it is close to the hustle and bustle of the city, but far enough away that you feel a part of nature. We will absolutely be back. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories.

Very Secluded & Private (Car/Driving a Must)

A beautiful home with many great amenities. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful. 4 stars only because I feel a mislead in the description that this is a 5-minute drive to Tamarindo beach. It's a 5 minute drive alone to the front gate and another 10-20 (depending on traffic) to the beach. It's NOT walkable at all, you need a car or you are stuck. I really REALLY missed having the ability to walk to a bar/restaurant. My fault for not vetting the location better I guess. Insects seemed to be a little issue as well... (and yes I know I was in Costa Rica and that is to be sort of expected). There was also a TON of tiny harmless ants all over (especially the kitchen). We had a HUGE spider in the kitchen too that freaked me out, and there was a huge swarm of bees/wasps on the left side of the pool area making half the pool unusable. Beds were comfortable and Olga was very easy and great to communicate with. Just beware of the location and make sure it works for you and your travel mates. Two very nice grocery stores right outside the gate.

Lovely place in a quiet area.

We enjoyed the house very much although was probably more space than two people need. We used the pool a lot and the bbq once. We saw/heard monkeys in the trees and lots of birds. The kitchen was reasonably well stocked and the appliances in good shape. Nice to have access to a washer/dryer. There are beach chairs and a cooler available for trips to the beach. Cushions for the loungers outside by the pool would be a nice addition. We took the little boat to cross from Playa Taramindo to Playa Grande ($2pp) to save the long drive around and walked that 5 km beach. Lots of shells to see if you like that. We also went to Playa Conchal and Playa Flamingo- both very nice. Lots of touristy shops in Tamarindo. Having travelled all around Costa Rica on this trip we were surprised at how dry and windy this area is. 36 degrees every day we were there but more tolerable than in the south because it’s not so humid. One caution for those with kids at this property - we were visited by a large mass of army ants on the deck by the pool at dusk 2 of the 4 nights we were there. They are gone in about an hour and a half but they bite so be aware.

Costa Rica Getaway

This property is just as advertised. It is a short distance from Tamarindo beaches. It was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed hearing and seeing Mikey’s in the surrounding vegetation. Definitely enjoyed our time!
