Kona Reef Unit A24 is a beautifully appointed one-bedroom, one-bathroom oceanfront condo nestled in the heart of Historic Kailua Village. Step into the unit and let the soothing sound of the ocean wash away all your worries and the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The unit has undergone a recent renovation, featuring a newly remodeled kitchen and bathroom. Stay cool with the split AC system, ensuring a comfortable living and sleeping experience in both the living area and bedroom.
In December 2022, we made some exciting improvements to Unit A24. A new sliding glass door was installed, equipped with UV protectant film to shield against the afternoon sun's heat. The door's new hardware makes it easy to open and close. Additionally, a new sleeper sofa was added to the unit, providing extra comfort for guests.

Unit A24 also comes complete with beach chairs, towels, an umbrella, and a small cooler for our guests' convenience. While some snorkel gear may be left behind by previous guests, please note that we do not provide snorkel equipment. Non-fitting snorkel gear can ruin the fun of snorkeling, so it's best to rent your own equipment during your stay.
Kona Reef Resort is an oceanfront condominium resort located adjacent to a beautiful sandy beach and a popular surf spot in historic Kailua Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. This beautifully landscaped property offers unobstructed ocean views. Enjoy free entertainment, including watching surf activities at Honl's Beach, humpback whale watching during the winter months, and spinner dolphin sightings throughout the year. We really enjoyed the condo! It was clean and organized. The appliances worked well. The sofa bed was comfortable. The bedding was organized in the plastic bins and vacuume suction bags which was helpful. There could have been a better hook or hanger for the living room "closet" area for the second guest sleeping in the living room. Other than that we really enjoyed it!

Amazing Ocean View

We had a wonderful time and loved this place! Stunning ocean view from the private lanai, pictures don't do it justice! Great for sunsets too. The unit was extremely clean and well stocked with lots of amenities. Great location on Ali'l Drive with easy parking and close enough to walk to dinner and shopping in town. We will be back!

Great view, but aging complex

The condo itself was clean, well stocked and a perfect view from the balcony. The complex that the condo was located in was somewhat grungy though. Several condos seemed to be undergoing restoration repairs, such as the one next to our unit. Had more of an old apt building vibe than a tropical resort feel.

need to provide instructions for TV. Tracy was gracious enough to come by and help figure out the difference between streaming and Spectrum live tv. it involves two remotes. An electric teapot / boiler would be helpful. I'm not sure the quick boil function on the stove works too well - it takes several minutes to boil water for a few cups of tea. It would be fantastic if you provided a good size telescope for checking out the boats, rowers, surfers, stars and surrounding coastline. The binoculars are pretty useless for those activities. I highly recommend this wonderful condo for a trip to Kona. Extremely well stocked, clean, and very easy check-in / check-out process. The view is amazing and we especially loved the sunsets. Very quiet and private. Took advantage of all of the great beach equipment- towels, chairs, umbrella, and snorkel equipment. Thank you for a lovely stay. We felt very welcomed by all of the attention to detail. We would love to come back!

Splendid/First Rate

This unit has obviously gone through a stem to stern, top to bottom rehab with attention to fine detail and exquisite taste with respect to paints, colors and fabrics. Appliances and utensils and a new step in tile shower with multiple adjustable shower heads also appear to be brand new. The glass slider to the lanai is new and appears to have a glare proof finish which makes for stunning views. While the unit is three floors above the ocean, access to it from the parking lot is actually one floor down making it very convenient particularly for someone with mobility concerns. The rental agents, Tracy and Tainya, are nearby and are really focused on their guests having a smooth visit.
