Cozy stay on the hill

This was our second time spending the Xmas week at this location with my family. Communication with the management company was quick and easy. The upstairs is the best part of this location- it’s a huge open space with the dining room, kitchen and living room. There are a lot of stairs at the location as you can see from the pictures. We would stay again!

Cozy and very comfortable (but not ideal for young children).

The property is so charming and has everything you need for a cozy and comfortable stay. Despite other reviews, we did not find the stairs from car to front door to be an issue. However once inside there are 2 flights of harrowing stairs that are not safe for a young child without close watch. The home is not ideal if you have a young child especially if not traveling w baby gates. We managed and did fine, but the worrying kept mama up at night. :) The loft area is also not accessible for young children which was a pity as it looked super cute! Aside from stairs, we enjoyed our stay very much. The property is clean, cozy, well stocked and convenient to downtown Stowe. The sauna is a blissful touch! The property managers are incredibly responsive and friendly and helped us quickly navigate a few things to settle in. We would definitely go back, but recommend the owners update the listing regarding the internal staircases for other potential renters w infants/toddlers.

Cozy Ski Stay

We had a wonderful time over a family ski trip. The top floor's open layout was perfect for lounging, the home was very cozy and the beds all super comfortable. It's a great location, tucked off the main roads but not far from town or the mountain. We'll definitely look to return on another trip.

The house was cozy and the gas fireplace made the living area.

Great house, comfortable bedrooms, and the sauna was great. House was very clean and comfortable, and the gas stove was great to warm the living area after skiing. The place also has a good feel with the living area & kitchen on the top floor with lots of windows. The parking is down a little from the entrance, so there are quite a few steps to the house. Location was great, just outside of town.

Perfect host! Grade AAA +++!!

We loved the cabin! It was a great rustic place with all the needs for a comfy stay! I was impressed that the walkway to the house from the parking area was cleaned and prepped for our arrival! We arrived late and had lots of luggage, so having the clear free walkway with NO SNOW or ICE was a great start! Great WiFi, great location! We would definitely consider for future ski trips!

Significant mouse infestation

Within 48 hours of arrival we saw a mouse in the kitchen. Owner sent the property manager over the next morning, who put a couple traps down, which caught 2 mice in less than 24 hours. We kept seeing mice and droppings all over the kitchen including counters and drawers. Personally cornered another mouse into a trap. Messaged again. Owner offered to send the property manager over again, I had to tell him we will leave unless he gets an exterminator. Unfortunately, no change even after the exterminator came. Droppings on counters and mice running around at 10pm, right around us in the kitchen, on the stove and in the living room. I sent him more pictures of the mice and he has not responded, other than processing a refund of the cleaning fee. At that point we only had one night left, and with kids already asleep so we stayed. Apart from the infestation it would have been alright, the kids liked the house and it is in a quiet location, but the mice were inexcusable. The owner was initially responsive but I am not sure he quite understood the degree of infestation and the health hazards mice and their droppings pose. Hopefully this will be remedied before any other families stay at this location.

Stowe Ski trip

We really enjoyed our time here. The rental was very clean, the owners were super responsive and very accommodating about providing us with a nearly check in and late check out. The house has a lot of stairs outside and inside so if someone is unsteady or easily gets short of breath or if you have small children just keep that in mind. That being said, we had a 21 month old who loved it! We would come again!

Great house and great vacation!

We loved this house house! It was great with a big open floor plan on the top level with living room/dining/ kitchen including beautiful pine plank floors and beamed ceiling. Bedrooms on 2nd and sauna/ bathroom/mud room on the first. It was clean and well equipped and very comfortable. Great location, just outside of the town of Stowe and only 15 min from skiing. We had a wonderful vacation and hope to return!

Great Location. House was good.

Couldn't have asked for a better location for the house. We had a great time staying in this area for the first time. It was right near the main Route, easy to find and not on a busy street. House/kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed sitting and eating a couple dinners on the deck. Barbecued on the grill that's provided. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Great house and great location

The house was clean and comfortable and was great for our family get away weekend. The weather didn't cooperate, but we found plenty of things to do in town, which is very close to the house. Kipp and Andrea were very quick to respond to questions. We would highly recommend this property.

Stowe getaway

This home was a little farther from the mountain than we had thought but it didn't matter. We really enjoyed our stay! The beds were super comfy (which you never find in a rental), the home was clean, had some nice amenities such as; sauna, ping pong table, games, large dining table and a nice first level for ski stuff/laundry. The owners were super easy to deal with and gave great instruction.

Realky great!

We just returned from a wonderful family weekend celebrating my husband’s birthday. We loved the set up of the house and particularly enjoyed the sauna after skiing. The beds were super comfortable and everything was clean and inviting!

Great Stowe Home

Great home, very clean. I really liked that the living area (Kitchen, Dining, Living Room) was on the 3rd floor. It is a very peaceful, quiet area with easy access to town and a short drive to Stowe Mountain Resort. Andrea made the arrangements easy. Thanks again.

fantastic holiday - snowy Stowe heaven

We just had a wonderful, magical time in gorgeous Stowe in this wonderful, comfortable, clean and charming home. The listing description and photos are real, the property clean and well taken care of, great service and communication with Andrea - all good. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative and I am sure we will try to stay here again, and soon! We were so amazingly lucky with the Christmas skiing conditions, plenty of wonderful snow, so we skiied like crazy. We loved the hot chocolate and s'mores at the Lodge, loved all the base lodges at Stowe, loved how nice and helpful the zillions of employees are. We had a great evening at the super-charming tavern at Edson Hill. We had some great snacks and beer tasting at the Idyltime, but mostly we skiied and enjoyed this super-comfy house, with the wonderful sauna, great kitchen, great layout with the living and dining areas adjacent to the kitchen. We brought so much stuff, food, skis, etc etc, that I'd been worried about the stairs but it was not a big deal, the outdoor stairs have charming lights on a timer. This place is truly a gem and we are so grateful to the owners for letting us rent and enjoy it!

Beautiful, cozy, accessible home!

This beautiful Stowe home was everything that we expected it to be and more! First and foremost all the information was accurate that the owners provided (no questioning of anything, what you see in the pictures is what is exactly there) and we had much use of the sauna, ping pong table and completely up-to-date gorgeous kitchen. Everything was spotless clean and beautifully decorated, giving it such a modern-country feel. The 3 bed rooms all on one floor was awesome and the king bed was gigantic!! We loved how the 3rd floor was exclusively the dining area, kitchen and living room so we could do our own thing and the 2 full bathrooms were perfect. The drive to town was only 5 minutes from the house where all the restaurants, shops, convenience stores, markets and bars were and Stowe Mountain and Stowe Mountain Lodge was only 10 minutes from there. Everything was so close by and so easy to get to. Another thing was the owner Andrea was so kind and so helpful. She was so welcoming and truly made our stay so easy. Any questions I had she answered and not only that but would get back to me almost immediately. She made our stay so effortless and had such great warm hospitality. If not for that I would not have felt as comfortable as I did in the home and not have known the area as it wasn't for her. This home was great for everything we needed and more, beautiful, state of the art appliances, cozy, spacious, and welcoming. Cannot wait for one day to return in the future and stay at this home and be in contact with these owners again!!

Lovely home, great for friends get-together.

My friends and I havent seen each other for a while after graduation. We were looking up to the Columbus day for a get-together. The house gave us a wonderful weekend. They have many entertainments in the house.We love the Sauna and the pingpang. We wanted to try the BBQ, but our schedule was full and we couldnt find time for it. It was wonderful to go bicycling in the morning. Loved it!

An Ideal Fall Family Getaway

This was our first visit to Stowe and we could not have asked for more in terms of accommodations. The listing description was completely accurate. This property is immaculate, well-equipped, and close to everything you would want to experience in Stowe (and nearby Waterbury). Our two boys 6 years and 3 years loved the bunk beds and the open floor plan on the top level. An array of puzzles and board games, plus the ping pong table, kept my 6 year-old (and myself) busy in the evenings. The WiFi helped us stay connected and research activities to take advantage of in Stowe. Highlights of our visit included a visit to the Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory, dog carting with Peace Pups (a great experience!), a visit to The Swimming Hole (our kids loved the water slide), hiking the trails of the Weissner Woods, biking around the local area, and a night walking tour of Stowe where we learned the fascinating history of the town. Mac's Supermarket, just two miles from the house, has a great wine selection, and we also loved the selection of finer foods at the Harvest Market. Other highlights included a day trip to Burlington (about 40 minutes away), coffee and panini at the Black Cap coffee house, and a visit to the Trapp Family Lodge (hiking trails and they have a great lounge). The house is cozy and relaxing, the perfect location to unwind from the stresses of city life. I cannot describe the beauty of this area in words -- to say it is stunning does not do it justice.

Stowe Ski House

We found this to be a very relaxing experience. Very close to slopes and shopping . Also a couple of great little gourmet shops like the Harvest Market. The house is well appointed with a gas stove that is more than adequate to heat up the main living area and takes the chill off . Great plush bedding and plenty of towels and kitchen utensils. Three heating zones , Open floor plan and a neat loft if you have older kids that may want to bunk alone or with their friends. Private well lit home with many nice touches . Many stores in Vermont leave up their Christmas lighting throughout the winter and the owners of the house also have festive lighting on timers which is a nice touch that you dont have to worry about . The sauna was a big hit after skiing for everyone and is right off the entryway . Also nice to have two full baths and a washer /dryer. We would definitely recommend this property and we will be back !

Fantastic month and honestly represented

This cabin was a true home away from home in every sense. The pictures and description are accurate and the communication from the owners was considerate and prompt. The only issue to consider is the four flights of stairs. If you can't climb stairs or they are an issue this cabin has four small flights. Our 22 month old is now a pro! We all went down backwards and crawled up and set his pattern from day one. The kids loved the loft and bunks and we loved the master bed, sauna on cold mornings and quiet patio at night. Remember stars? Kitchen is stocked with everything we needed from a cast iron pan to a gold filter coffee maker. From the first email to the final check out, this was an excellent experience. We recommend this cabin and would be pleased to return.

Stowe Vacation - February 2010

6 of us (3 couples) stayed there for a week at the start of February. The property is very ease to locate and is perfectly positioned for both a short car ride to the slopes and a cheap taxi fare for a night in the village. The property looks identical to the pictures set out on this website and is in immaculate condition. We very much enjoyed the free wi-fi and sauna as well. The kitchen is particuarly impressive and the large dining table is perfect for a apres ski feast. Thoroughly recommended.
