Our unit is a privately owned hotel room located in the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort and Spa.

Beautiful second floor unit in building 4 (closest building to the ocean), with an unobstructed view of the ocean. King bed with chaise lounge. Only steps until your feet touch the sand!

The Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort and Spa is a beautiful Hawaiian plantation-style resort located on 25 acres of lush Garden Isle, centrally located between Kauai’s south and north shores, making it perfect for your island adventures. Only minutes from the airport, Costco, Walmart and Shopping. You will go thru a tree canopy lined drive that leads to the resort. Several acres of beach front property to enjoy and explore. On property there are four swimming pools, complete with water falls, a poolside cabana bar and grill, two jacuzzies, fitness center and day spa. Paradise will be your back yard!

KAUAI BEACH RESORT AMENITIES
• 4 swimming pools, including 2 lagoon pools, 75-ft lava tube slide, & kid-friendly sand bottom pool.
• Two whirlpool spas, one amidst a stone grotto and surrounded by lush ferns and an exotic waterfall.
• Three restaurants on site.
• Poolside Driftwood Bar and Grill
• Free Wi-Fi access in lobby, restaurants, and the pool areas.
• Hawaiian Rainforest Boutique Spa offering sauna, spa treatments, massages ect.
• Activities and tour desk.
• Guest laundry (coin operated located in building #1)
• Hertz car rental agency on-site..
• ATM, ice machines, purified water machines and vending machines.

4 Pool/Beach towels for use at the resort or for the beach. There is a $20.00 charge for each missing towel.

PARKING
• $40/day parking fee paid directly to Kauai Beach Resort at check-in.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT POLICY
• Check-in time is 4:00 PM / Check-out time is 11:00 AM.
Check in procedure:
Simply check in at the front desk with your name and booking info.

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES
• Please note that daily maid service is not included when renting direct through VRBO. The cleaning fee included in your payment to VRBO covers cleaning/re-stocking the room after your stay.
If you would like a mid-stay cleaning (maid service) for your room it is $65 each cleaning.

As Private Unit guest you have full access to the pools, whirlpool spas, the grounds, the beach, the business center, the restaurants, the lounge, the poolside bar, live music, the fitness room, coin laundry access and the Hawaiian Rainforest Spa.

By renting via VRBO you avoid paying the $25 per day resort fee charged by the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort. However, the Hawaiian Cultural classes, which include classes like Hula and Lei Making are not included as part of your stay.

FAQs - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

IS THIS CONDO OR A HOTEL ROOM?
Both. The resort was previously a Hilton hotel, the units are just like hotel rooms. However, they are privately owned “condotels”. The resort operates much like a hotel, and most guests are not aware that the units are privately owned. Most of the units are offered to the public through the resort or through travel sites at much higher retail prices. Although, a few are offered on VRBO at owner rates with access to the resort’s amenities.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RENTING ON VRBO vs. THE RESORT
The $$$ price and also maid service. Renting direct through VRBO saves you a lot of money. However, daily maid service is not included. The cleaning fee you pay when booking takes care of cleaning and restocking the unit after your stay.

DOES THE UNIT HAVE A KITCHEN?
No. They do not have kitchens they were previously hotel rooms.

ARE WE ABLE TO COOK IN THE UNIT?
No. Local fire ordinances do not allow cooking in any of the rooms. The resort has a microwave in the lounge area on the 5th floor of Building 2 that can be used by all guests.
WHAT IS THE RESORT’S BEACH LIKE?
The resort is located on a 3-mile stretch of beautiful beach, amazing for long walks. The beach is very scenic but, is not considered a swimmable beach as it has a decent amount of coral. The surf is also unpredictable. It's best is to go to some of Kauai's many famous beaches for swimming. Lydgate Beach park is a nearby beach that is good for swimming.

SHOULD I GET A CAR?
We recommend that you have a rental car. The resort has most everything you need to have a wonderful time and relax. A car will allow you to experience many popular attractions, buying groceries, and going to many amazing restaurants etc. If you want a car for a day or two there is an on-site Hertz car rental agency. The rates are higher but it is an option for a short rental.

IS THERE FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE FROM THE AIRPORT?
No. The shuttle service from the airport is not available to our guests. The resort does offer free shuttle service to/from the airport for guests who book through the resort. Kauai Beach Resort is close the airport which make taxi prices more reasonable. Uber also operates on the island!

ARE THERE BEACH TOWELS TO TAKE TO THE BEACH?
Your stay includes 4 pool/beach towels.

DOES THE RESORT CHARGE A RESORT FEE?
Private owner guests are not required to pay the $25 daily resort fee.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR A DAILY PARKING FEE?
Yes, if you have a car the resort charges $40/day for parking. This fee is paid by the guest to the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort at check-in.

DO I GET FREE WI-FI INTERNET SERVICE?
YES! Wi-Fi is FREE in all the units. The signal extends into the lobby, restaurants, bars and in the pool area!

DOES THE UNIT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING?
Yes. The unit has central A/C.

Little Slice of Heaven

It was the perfect place for a week in the sun! The location of the condo is perfect... great view of the ocean and a big, open field... quiet... just pleasant. Everything was clean... comfortable bed... and nice air conditioning.Plus - being in the Outrigger Kauai resort, the pool, hot tub, exercise room, breakfast, bar, etc etc were just most enjoyable - and not crowded at all.Just lovely all the way around...

Great spot for relaxation and access

The property was just as described. Like many rentals on the island, it could have used a deep clean (dust, mold, dirty door frames) but overall was very well kept and the linens provided were great. Bed was comfortable and coffee maker fridge was great to have. As stated by the manager, you will need to bring your own coffee filters and supplies. Due to the hard surfaces and airy vibe, you will hear your neighbors and hallway traffic. The overall resort was a bit dated. Hot tub and water dispensers were out of order, but the staff was very friendly. Lunch at the pool bar was good, as were the drinks. We did not eat at any of the other onsite restaurants. The location is great, very close to markets, beaches, food options, etc. making it very convenient and home base on the island. The only downside is the parking fee, as stated in the details. 40 is a bit steep and the parking garage is not close to the main buildings. Lots of maintenance was going on during our stay which increased the noise levels inside and out. Overall a great stay and cozy spot.

Perfect location!

We chose this Area because of its location on the island. We chose this unit because of its spectacular views. It did not disappoint! Looking off the balcony, you can sit and watch the waves and the birds enjoy the open green space. Rental managers were great with communication. We had a late evening flight and the managers were able to reschedule cleaning to get us some extra time in the room before we had to pack up and leave the comfort of the resort and room.

The pricing on this property was deceptive. When compared to other resorts in this area, it is one of the highest rated resorts for the least amount of cost. They do not mention on Expedia that cost for "parking" is extra, like $256 for the week (over $36 per day). Although plenty of parking spaces were available during our stay. Expedia also listed "in room microwave". The only microwave available is located at the 5th floor lobby in the main "Building 2". It is quite a hike from Building 4.

Beautiful vacation rental

Unobstructed views of ocean and grassy park from the balcony. Clean and spacious. Resort has nice pools and restaurants. This building is closest to the beach and far from the parking lot. Overall a good place for a relaxing vacation.

The price is right

We were looking for an affordable place in a great location. I loved that this place is situated between the north and the south. It’s not too far to get anywhere on the island. The restaurants on site are very good. The owner was great with communication.

Great spot!

This condo / hotel room at the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort has everything you need as well as a serene ocean front location. This is our third year in a row at this room. The resort has recently been improved considerably by the Outrigger brand. The restaurant, beach bar and pools are great. We love to location to explore the island in every direction.

We had a blast! Location was great to all we did while visiting. Even tough this hotel is older, our room was great. Owner had a larger fridge which worked out great! Loved it here, we’ll be back!

Private and peaceful unit at a Kauai resort

Great stay in Kauai at a private unit at the Outrigger beach resort. This unit is very private with a nice ocean view, and nicely equipped but more like a hotel room than an apartment. The resort has a lot of pools. We did not eat at any of the resort restaurants. The resort is near the airport and the city of Luhue, and also near the town of Kapaa where there are restaurants and stores. You really need a car to see anything on the island, there is nothing nearby to get to on foot. $35 per night parking fee seems a bit steep, especially seeing nearby ‘villas’ with what seemed like free parking.

Convenient Location w/great amentities & views

We loved being centrally located so we could split a few days between visiting the north and southern points of the island. The staff was friendly (Dennis was exceptionally helpful!) We utilized the pools, spa, restaurant, bar and have zero complaints. The view of the ocean with some mountains the opposite direction from the lanai was wonderful. No obstructions.

This condo was perfect for my husband and I. Clean, comfortable and provided everything we needed during our stay. Perfect location as well, as it is centrally located on the island. The view of the morning sunrise from the lanai was amazing! Best seat in the house.

It was good. Except the new tenants came in and surprised us. And I was told that the meal voucher didn’t work and the power went out so I couldn’t get the key card. Plus it was for September 3-4 instead of September 4-5!

Great place!

This property is beautiful. The grounds are very well maintained and the staff is very friendly. There is no lack of pool space as there are 4 pools. There is also a concession and bar at the pool plus two onsite restaurants. The location is in between a few main hubs and is never more than an hour car ride to any part of the island. We didn’t spend too much time at the room, but it had everything the hotel had and it was much cheaper.

Love it!

We have been to Kauai many times. This was our second trip to this location and we will always be back. It’s very centrally located, the resort has everything you need including a great walking beach. The room is very basic but we were only there to sleep. This unit overlooking a grassy area with unobstructed ocean views was very peaceful. Coffee and cocktails on the patio were perfect. Aloha til next year!
