Tellico River Retreat

Completely unplug after touring the Cherohala Skyway or hiking at the falls in our private rustic cabin on the water just two minutes off the world-famous Cherohala Skyway on Tellico River. This queen bed one-room cabin with a full bathroom has all of the essentials you need for a quiet couples getaway or small family trip. Enjoy the scenic views of the river on the deck overlooking the water, or walk down to the river to relax by the firepit and build a fire.

The space
This is a small cabin with kitchenette with all of the basic essentials to have meals at home. All linens are provided. There is a queen bed that sleeps two, a pullout couch that could sleep two children or two small adults, a small table and chairs, and a full bathroom with tub. We really want our guests to relax and enjoy the outdoors on the deck with table and chairs, and a new firepit down by the river. Dogs are allowed for a $50 fee each. No smoking in the cabin.

Great little cabin

We were in the area for some spring whitewater paddling and this little cabin was perfect. Right off of main street and just a short drive into the mountains. Would definitely stay here again!

Cabin retreat

This is just what we needed, great little cabin that feels private on the balcony, private river access and no signal or wifi. Great for a get away. They owners had games and enough kitchen space to cook meals and just hangout. Great family time, the kids has a blast swimming in the river.

Perfect Getaway!

We had a wonderful time! Clean and cozy cabin right on the Tellico River! It was the perfect place to disconnect, relax and listen to the river while sitting on the back deck. The bed was very comfy. Hosts were wonderful and quick to respond to any questions. Recommend Iron Works Grille and Big Bear Tubing right around the corner, and Bradley's BBQ in the next town, Sweetwater. We will definitely stay here again!

Nice spot, but some maintenance needed

The location is excellent - just a minute from town and the Cherohala Skyway. The waterfront is nice, and coffee on the deck in the morning is great. The cabin has all the necessities, but is very basic. As others say there's no TV or wifi, though cell service is passable (Verizon), but that's not why you come to a place like this. As for some negatives, I noticed the same septic smell another reviewer mentioned, and the air conditioner is fairly loud and has a hard time keeping up even at night (I stayed there in August). Letting in some fresh cool air in the mornings helped on both counts. A little TLC would take this place from good to great.

Was beautiful.

The cabin was very nice. Great price, beautiful view, and very clean. I can’t complain. There was one problem which you can’t help with the time of year I went was how many bugs where in/around the cabin. We had to sweep multiple times a day because of it. But the cabin it’s self was great.

Peaceful

The cabin was perfect for us. We had everything we needed and having no tv or internet was so peaceful. We were looking for privacy and a great place to rest which this cabin provided. Loved sitting on the deck and listening to the river. We came home refreshed and wish we were still there.

Brief stay on our way to Florida!

It was perfect, bed was very comfy and property is clean and has what you need! We wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely keep this property in mind for future visits to this area!

Get Away

The little cabin on Tellico River was perfect. We didn't want or need anything fancy. If you want to unplug great place to stay. No TV and No internet. There is cell service at the cabin. The owner was quick to respond.

Simple, Cozy, and Clean

My wife and I stayed here while trout fishing on the upper Tellico river. This cabin was as advertised. It and the amenities were very basic, but this cabin was clean and overall we had a very good experience.

Perfect location for Cherohala Skyway adventures. The river was a perfect way to relax and cool off after a day of exploring. Cabin has everything you need. No TV or internet but that was exactly what we needed!

Cherohala Challenge

Excellent location for Cherohala Challenge. 1 mile from start/finish. Cozy cabin right on the river. Wish I could have stayed longer. Rafting, fishing, hiking …Tellico is awesome. Excellent communication with owners.
