Very nice

Condo was nice. Location was great. Beach was awesome! Only downfall: we booked this condo because the title said “free beach service” however the beach attendants said this condo did not pay for that service and wasn’t able to receive the chairs daily. That is an extra $45 a day.

Filthy accommodations

First of all we arrived 15 minutes prior to check in and asked for a courtesy earlier check in which was denied. We had to stand outside door for 16 minutes before being allowed access. This is the 1st time I have ever experienced this bad service. It’s not like we were asking to check in hours early. Just a measly 15 minutes. Then as we proceed to go in we started to notice multiple issues of uncleanliness. The rug in the living was filthy black not off white. It was disgusting. We also noticed that our feet were black from the floors not being cleaned. There is no way they were mopped. I am recovering from foot surgery and was constantly having to clean my foot. This floor was not sanitary. Then we noticed that the commonly touched light switches were dirty and not clean. We also found tissue pieces of paper next to bed under the nightstand. A common leaning would have noticed it. So the $188 we paid for cleaning is a rip off because this place is disgusting. The elevators were disgusting too. I have multiple pictures of proof of everything. I will not recommend this rental and especially this rental company “Southern Vacation Rentals”. This was a very bad experience.

Beautiful Condo

The condo was beautifully decorated and even had an artist beautiful ocean paintings in almost every room! The master King bed was very comfortable but wish the extra room had been a queen bed or two separate twin beds instead of bunk. The mattresses were not very comfortable on the bunk. The balcony was amazing with enough seating for our group of four. The condo was clean. Plenty of dishes in the kitchen. A couple of things that we wish could’ve been better…. Cleaning service only left 4 rags with our 8 towels and 4 hand towels for our 4 night stay. The condo does have a stacked washer/dryer so we were able to wash them, but the washer is very small and off balance so you can not wash but a few items at time. We had to clean the lint trap and filter behind it because the dryer was not drying. The filter and lint trap appeared to have not been emptied or cleaned for quite some time. The lint was really stuck on the vent. The condo came with chair service and umbrella which was awesome! There were two separate sets of guys setting these up each day. One complaint from experience of staying at other condos in Ft.Walton… the chairs are set up way to close to each other and the umbrellas were set way to low. We were traveling with my very pregnant daughter and it wasn’t easy for her. Plus, no one wants to be sitting almost hand in hand to strangers. We were really bummed over this. Other than these things, we really loved the condo and would definitely stay here again!
