Peaceful and relaxing

My family and I had such a great time. My 3 kids fished everyday while we were there. The views of the lake were beautiful, we enjoyed coffee on the deck everyone morning while enjoying the lake. The check in and out was breeze. My family and I really enjoyed our stay!

Amazing

Everything about this place was amazing - immaculate through out, well stocked kitchen, gorgeous views of the lake, screen room was where I spent 90% of my time(when I wasn’t outside!). Everyone loved the toys and the swim raft on pontoons. Jacob was easy to communicate with and always responded promptly. To be honest, this was not the cabin we originally booked - the one we had a reservation for was sold so in spring we had to scramble to find a new place - we lucked out that this cabin was available for our exact dates. Such a blessing in disguise - so glad it worked out how it did!

Great but could be cleaner

Great location for us. Beautiful property with lots of room. However, there were big dust bunnies under all the furniture and dead bugs in the drawer of the table in the living room. I washed the pillowcases of the double bed in the basement bedroom because they smelled. I’m certain they were not washed from the prior guest. You could use another hairdryer in the downstairs bathroom. We shared with those using the upstairs bathroom. We loved the location on the lake and the house itself. Just needs a more thorough cleaning between guests.

Remodeled home in highly desirable location!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this remodeled cabin on "Little Balsam". The house was beautiful and clean, the location was perfect - close to the boat launch and not too much boat traffic, the amenities and toys were enjoyed by all ages, and everyone slept very comfortably!

Great spot on Little Balsam

This is a beautiful, fully updated cabin. Great size for our family of 5. Fully enjoyed the wonderful spot on the lake. The cabin was clean and very well appointed. Kids loved the dock and detachable piece for their fishing adventures. What a fun discovery! Loved it and would definitely stay again!

One of the best on Balsam Lake

Our family has been renting on Balsam Lake for over 40 years. We’ve stayed at resorts and rented private homes. This gem on Little Balsam was one of our favorites and perfect for our group. Delightfully appointed, this updated modern lake home was very comfortable with wide open living spaces and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen has every gadget and appliance you need for meal prep and cooking with plenty of storage available. None of the property amenities fell short of their description on VRBO and all of them were very appreciated. Lastly, I would note the host was easy to work with and was exceptionally responsive to any question we had throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this spot on the lake.

Why they chose this property

This is a newly built modern lake house less than 1.5 hours from the Twin Cities. It's comfortable, clean, and quiet — perfect for a relaxing getaway with friends and family, children and adults. During the day, take to the water on a paddleboard or kayak, fish from the dock, relax on the deck, or grill on the patio. At night, play a board game on the huge kitchen island, read a book on the plush couches, watch a movie on the flatscreen, or take in the night sounds on the screened-in porch.

What makes this property unique

The property manager stays in a detached garage off to the side of the lake house. He takes care of the yard and shoreline and is available to answer any questions you may have.
