My husband and I along with our 2 dogs had a wonderful stay in this cabin. Just enough room for us and yet all the comforts of home. Cell phone service was excellent so having no wifi was actually a nice change of pace. Not a lot of channels but we weren't really there to watch TV. Screened in porch was nice and the dogs loved sitting out there in the sun! Will be staying there again soon. Thanks for having us!
We loved our weekend stay at Toddy’s cabin! It’s close to everything the beautiful Trempealeau area has to offer, yet it’s private and makes you feel like you’re tucked far away in the woods. The fireplace made the cabin so cozy during the below zero temps throughout our stay. The cabin has everything you need to just kick back and relax. It was exactly what we needed to unplug and recharge for a weekend!
My husband, pup, and I enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin! When we arrived, the place was warm from the fireplace and had those instant cozy vibes. The place is probably the cleanest rental that we've ever booked! Loved the rocking chairs. And the attention paid to little details was really nice--from the white noise machine in the bedroom to the dog bowls for your pup in the kitchen. It was also really nice having a decent-sized fridge and a mini stovetop! Some people have noted train noise (that really didn't bother us much only because we're used to it)... honestly it isn't as noticable-esp. if you've camped in the area, you know how loud it can get; but it's rather kind of cozy and kind of nostalgic from inside a cabin...though an issue I can see for some is hearing it at night sometimes. We plan to return! Thanks for a fantastic post-Christmas break!
Second stay here! Absolutely worth the trip if you love clean and quaint cabins, beautiful stone fire place, comfortable beds, all you need for a kitchen.
Thank you for sharing your special cabin with us!

Due to the fact that trains were passing nearby multiple times each hour all day and all night, it was difficult to enjoy this place. The cabin would shake for for a minute or two before and a minute or two after the train whistle sounded, which made sleep impossible for one of us, and limited for the other. One of us actually drove to Onalaska to stay in a hotel after realizing that is was not possible for them to sleep. The lack of wireless internet combined with spotty cell phone coverage to make researching other options (and even engaging the owner through the problematic app) difficult. We left a day early.
Mom and I wanted a a cabin to just decompress and this is it. Just a small cabin with the essentials and I could bring my dogs with. Would come back and recommend.
Toddy's had a cozy cabin feel with the pine interior, comfy beds, handy kitchen, welcoming table and living room with fire place. We enjoyed the screened porch with a campfire view, sound of rain and inviting gliders. The cabin is near town and located on a peaceful path and a short distance from hiking at a beautiful state park along the river. The host was very quick to respond. He made sure we got a lighter when we discovered the lighters were missing from the usual spot. There was lots of dry firewood situated near the fire ring. It was a great place to stay and very relaxing.
Little comfort things like suitcase stands, night stands go a long way. We absolutely loved this property. It is so clean, private and comfortable. We will be back.
This cabin is wonderful! It’s in a beautiful location, has plenty of indoor and outdoor space and was very clean and well equipped. Plenty to do and see in the area.
We enjoyed our stay a lot - we were hanging with friends who were camping at Perrot State Park and it was easy. Check in was a breeze, cabin was efficiently appointed and really met our needs. The Trempeleau area offers so much to do; it was great. Train nearby was audible but somehow, kind of romantic. We will come again to stay at Toddy’s - a nice little getaway!
We had a very comfortable stay at Toddy's cabin. It was the earliest days of a temperature drop and a bit of chilly weather. We were able to quickly turn on the fireplace and warm up and felt cozy in this peaceful place. It is completely silent at night except for the occasional passing train. We hope to return some day, it perfectly met our needs for exploring the area.
We had a wonderful stay at Toddy's cabin. It's a quiet location away from other people but still close to town. The cabin has comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen if you plan on cooking (or grilling outside) during your stay. The screened in porch is wonderful and you can see the fire pit from it if it gets too buggy out but you still want to have a fire. We went out hiking, biking and kayaking in the area.
