I was pleasantly surprised with many aspects of the property. It was clean, well stocked, comfortable, and a great layout for a small group of friends with a central kitchen/dining area and lounge. It is centrally located for the main drag of Millinocket with shopping, a restaurant, and an awesome bar literally a stone's throw away. Parking is convenient too.
This is an upstairs apartment. The stairs are in the back of the building, as is the parking. The number is clearly marked on a red lobster and clearly visible from ground level. The parking along the treeline is reserved for restaurant staff, otherwise you can park anywhere. You could also park on the street in the front. This apartment was clean, beds comfortable, bedding and towels were nice. There is a full sized refrigerator, oven, stove & keurig coffee maker. When we stayed there was no microwave, perhaps because there really isn't room for one. This is an ideal location that is steps away from Schoodic In restaurant and the Blue Ox Saloon. There are various businesses nearby, some seasonal. This would be a great stop for a snowmobiling backpack trip. I enjoyed the character of this old building which is fully upgraded. It was sub-freezing when we stayed but the apartment stayed very warm.
Humble appearance on the outside gives way to neat clean and very comfortable 3 br 1 ba roof top unit on mainstreet millinocket next to the best restaurant in town (Scootic Inn) and across street from one of the finest bars ive ever been in (Blue Ox Saloon) which is owned by a dog named Jack who drinks Guiness and takes tarriff on your pizza. Andy's listing didnt inlcude the fact that he's got internet TV and a fully stocked kitchen with cookware, untensils, dinner ware and a brand new Kuerig coffee pot. I was fishing in Baxter State Park during my stay and Andy's place is 20 minutes from the gate which was very conveinient. All in all an excellent rental and I'll hope to return!
