Stayed here for a conference at the convention center. Very convenient! Walked to the convention center (about 20 minutes with waiting to cross streets). Comfortable beds and up to date appliances. Kids stayed upstairs and adults downstairs, and everybody had a great time!
This is an excellent property for a stay in Raleigh. There were 4 roomy bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, so lots of privacy and comfort. Plenty of seating, large dining table and a very large, well-appointed kitchen. Easy entry and exit, and a quick 15-minute walk to downtown. Definitely would stay again.
We were in town for a family wedding. We booked this place because of its location, close to downtown, plus the accommodations. It’s very frustrating when you have a large group to only have two bathrooms in a home with a bunch of bedrooms. This having four bedrooms +4 bathrooms was ideal! We also loved how the kitchen dining room and living area was open, this allowed us to come back between the wedding and the reception with a couple of extra family members to pass the time comfortably. The space was very clean, and well appointed with everything we needed. We were told that the location is in an area that is being redeveloped and is still a little sketchy, however, we never once felt unsafe or that we were in a questionable area. My husband and I walked both mornings from the home to downtown and back. It was particularly nice having the front porch with the rocking chairs, as we used them each morning and each evening. Should we return to Raleigh, I would book this place again in an instant!
Small little hiccup with obtaining how to enter the premises. I never received how to enter the property from VRBO, however Stephen provided me the info. Unfortunately the key was not in the lockbox and we had to wait for a family memeber to call another family member to find out where the key was left. Also, thanks to Stephen to message us in regards to the wifi password as what is showing on VRBO is incorrect.
Slight glitch with WiFi, but all was ok otherwise.

great space for multigen family gathering for college graduation
Our family, which included some grandparents with mobility issues, needed a place to stay for our son's graduation from NC State. Steve's house was a great fit with two pretty accessible bedroom suites on the main floor. (note that there are a couple steps to get into the overall house so not a good fit if your family member depends on a wheel chair primarily). The house was very roomy and comfortable for our multigen gathering - with everyone having their own bathroom and plenty of space for social gathering, eating, cooking, etc. The neighborhood is great for walking in. Be thoughtful/aware of the fact that this is a neighborhood that is being very aggressively gentrified - including by houses like this one that have been built as vacation rentals. People in the community can be understandably grumpy about how the neighborhood is being destroyed in the process.
There were 2 main drawbacks/issues with the rental. The code given for arrival was the wrong one and communicating with the owner was not the most direct. But the person he had on the other end of the text # (don't try to call - no one will answer) - was responsive and got assistance to our in-laws who were first to arrive. The other issue is the wifi which was a bit spotty. For general socail gathering it wouldn't have been any problem. But my sister needed to work virtually during part of our stay and the internet was pretty inconsistent which made that kind of difficult.
Otherwise a very lovely stay.
The property was nice… each bedroom had its on bedroom which is what we were looking for. The host was awesome and very responsive. Even a Soror left her jacket and the host mailed it to her. I would recommend the property.
Had a great stay while reuniting with former college roommates for the weekend in Raleigh! Close to downtown and has everything you could need. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay while exploring all that Raleigh has to offer.
We were at a family wedding with our adult children and spouses so we loved that each couple had own bathroom in their bedroom. Convenient location to downtown Raleigh.
My family and I stayed here while in town for a wedding that had most events downtown. The proximity to the entertainment district was great! Be aware that the street in front is very busy. When choosing bedrooms, keep in mind there is a lot of street noise for those bedrooms in the front. Having four beds and four baths was perfect for us. We had a few issues during our stay, but the property manager was able to address them fairly quickly. Tip:
use the message function in the app rather than the phone. Overall, we would stay here again.
Overall great stay, close to shopping, restaurant and activities. Comfortable stay. Great parking.
My family of 6 stayed here for 5 nights, even though my check in process was delayed due to housecleaning , both the owner Stephen and Daryl responded , it was a bit of inconvenience but this home was an excellent choice. Each couple/ individual had their own bathroom/bedroom, house was spacious and comfortable and clean. We were in town for a wedding, parking was not an issues , close to shopping, restaurants and the wedding venue. Overall it was a happy stay as we were in town for a purpose but should we be back in Raliegh I would stay here again.
I would recommend some wine glasses and bowls for soups/ salads, and some additional eating utensils
The house was clean and just as pictured. Having 4 bedrooms with private bathrooms was great! The only downside was the lack of kitchenware. This is a new property so I'm sure that will come in time. We did not walk anywhere but found it easy to drive everywhere we needed to go. We went to the Fair but it was a bust. A hundred thousand people and two small children did not go over as planned. We found a great park close to the house and it was much better fit for our family. We also LOVED the farmers market. It's open everyday all year long. We also have a few food recommendations, Bida Manda, Morgan Street Food Hall, and Breakfast delivered from The Flying Biscuit Cafe. We ordered the family breakfast for 4 and there was more than enough food. When we come back we will book this house again.
Needed a place near work. New construction that has the wonderful smell. Huge house in a quiet neighborhood. Brand new appliance. W/D were clutch. Furnishings are super comfy and clean. Getting into the driveway may be a little tricky for a low-riding car, but plenty of room once passed that part; or just park out front, plenty of street parking. The weather was perfect for rocking chairs on the front porch AND patio furnishings on the side deck def made coffee taste better. :>
The house is beautiful on the inside, and each of the bedrooms has it's own bathroom. There are some idiosyncrasies with the furniture choices and placement, but that should get ironed out over time.
We had a couple minor issues, but the owner was very communicative and they were solved quickly and efficiently.
This place was exactly as advertised. It was clean and in a great location. My friends and I came in a bit late (3am) and the host was there to greet us and make sure we were able to get in and that the property was to our liking. 10/10 and would definitely rent again!!
