Owners friendly and welcoming and very hospitable and communicative. Good location for hiking and enjoying the North Umpqua region. Old prophet has been back to life. Bed very comfortable, good a/c. Restaurants nearby in Glide.
The room has all the amenities we needed to be comfortable. The location was beautiful. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Staying here was the perfect way to wrap up our vacation. Thank you!

Great hosts and caretakers. Well cared for rustic lodge close to the river and nearby fishing. Friday night music, food and bar were a plus.

When I spoke with the owner she said we would have the house all to ourselves. It may have been a house at one time but it was actually a building with a hallway down the center and rooms on each side. It was very clean. From our conversation I expected a house and packed accordingly. There was a microwave but no dishes, no utensils, etc. Luckily there was a place across the street to purchase picnic supplies. A bit too rustic for our taste.
The lodge owner JoAnne came to meet us as we pulled up in our truck. She gave a quick tour of the facility and our room. Very welcoming of our small dog, Bill. Invited us to a potluck on site that evening. There was an awesome musical trio of JoAnne’s friends. They played folk and rock tunes from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s until about 9 pm. Very cool! Room and our restroom very clean. Bed very comfy. Best of all a fresh loaf of banana bread awaited us in our room. Very cool!
We made a last minute change in our travel plans by visiting Crater Lake but had to be in Roseburg the next morning. We found this place on VRBO and were very pleased. The owner greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. The room was very clean and neat and she had a loaf of fresh homemade Zucchini bread waiting for us. My mother-in-law was traveling with us and has very special dietary needs so the owner recommended we go to the 138 Grill because the owner there is very accommodating. We could not have been more pleased. The food was amazing and they did a wonderful job of adapting their menu.
The owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and did fantastic job of making us feel welcome. We look forward to staying there again.

Wonderful lodge next to the river, very clean with very friendly owners who made us zucchini bread when checking in :) Clean rooms, friendly lodge atmosphere, nice large wood deck to hang out on, and a convenience store and small post office right across the street along with the river.

Wasn’t sure what to expect but was pleasantly impressed! Expedia didn’t charge correctly for the pet fee, it was no problem I was glad to have my dog.
The lodge was so clean and inviting. The host were onsite for anything we needed yet we had plenty of privacy. It's a beautiful property and I felt right at home. I would not hesitate to book here again.
Johanne and family made our stay here a true delight. Generous hospitality and warm friendly people are all we encountered. The comfortable historic lodge is a real gem and the area is gorgeous. Highly recommend this place!
The hosts were so nice and friendly. We arrived late with no issue. Friday night they had free food and a lovely community of friends. Lexie, their dog, is smarter than most people I know. Highly recommend this place!
We had a very relaxing stay at The Lodge in Idleyld, Oregon. The North Umpqua was high, fast and muddy so we had no luck fishing. Our room was very clean and well set up. Microwave, refrigerator, flat screen tv with Roku streaming. WiFi was solid. The bathroom was very well lit and offered the usual amenities. We didn't partake, but the beer/wine bar was a nice addition to the main lodge building. We will be back this summer when the Steelhead are running!

The host was very friendly and caring about how our stay was going. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had never been to the town or area before and we loved it, it was very pretty with lots to do nearby and amazing food nearby. the trading post across the street was very good for breakfast also with super friendly staff.
Johanne was an incredible host. She graciously welcomed us hours after their check in time. She was gracious and showed us around. The lodge is nice and room met our needs.
The hosts were nice, helpful and cared about our comfort. The room had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker but no restaurant on site. Fortunately there is a deli across the street.
There was live music in the lobby and the hosts made food for all.
The lodge has a bar.
My sis and I stayed here and got exactly what we needed after lots of driving. Ac, a comfy bed, and some rest. This location was perfect to start our trip through umpqua forest.
Nicely renovated historic lodge! The owners were very helpful & friendly. Great location to rest after a day exploring the dozens of waterfalls nearby! Great food at the Trading Post across the road from the lodge too! Nice indoor & outdoor sitting areas around the lodge with a nicely stocked bar for imbibing! The owner was so kind to make my friend a plate of breakfast from her own kitchen - because she wasn’t feeling well. We felt in the best of care! Sulphuric smell in the shower water but everything else was very comfortable!
