Private and secluded beach - a lot of privacy. 2 queen bedrooms, 1 twin in sunroom, and 2 twin XL built in bunks in living room, great for kids. Couch and love seat in living, couch in sunroom - couches and love seat can be used for extra sleeping area if needed. Full kitchen with pots, pans, dishes, dishwasher, etc. 2 full bathrooms with 48" showers. Bath off master bedroom has toilet in separate room for extra privacy. Full laundry with washer and dryer. Dining room table seats 4 and extra dining table in sunroom seats 6. Wall unit air conditioners - one in living and one in master bedroom. Full forced air heating.

Located on dead-end paved road with Mackinaw city close by. Booming tourist town famous for historic Mackinaw Island.

Three Kayaks available for use.

Special Note:
Still some work in progress on a few minor things relating to the outside of house, but soon to be wrapped up when springs comes.

Stunning view awesome location

We were here for hiking in Wilderness State Park and this location was the perfect starting point. The house is cozy and the sunroom looking out over Lake Michigan is spectacular.

Peaceful, restful getaway

Husband and I had our first weekend away from our baby. This place was the perfect spot. Peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed sleeping in and hanging out doing not much. Place was clean and nice supply of firewood was much appreciated.

Beautiful location!

This is a lovely place to relax, and watch the birds, wildlife, and freighters as they pass by. It's an easy drive to Mackinaw City, the dark sky park, and the Wilderness park. The house is a little "quirky", but comfortable, and the view from the sunporch is amazing. We would stay here again if we ever come back this way!

Great Vacation

We had a wonderful 2 weeks! The porch was the most fantastic place to hang out. The rental was a great value for the money spent. Beds & furniture very comfortable.

Winter get away

The pictures do it justice. The view was wonderful, unfortunately it was foggy most of our stay but it did clear one evening and we could see the bridge. Its location was secluded and quiet. It was big enough that our family of 6 with adult children didn’t feel crowded. The kitchen was functional and had all we needed. When I did contact the owner with a question they were quick to respond. The wood burner on the porch was really a highlight for our family. Would recommend.

Hidden gem

Very well kept place. Superb views from almost every room. Donald was very responsive and helpful. We had to reduce our duration post booking but prior to the start of the stay on a busy Labor day weekend but Donald was flexible and accommodating. Will definitely rebook again.

Paradise

Communication was excellent with the host, amazing amazing views of Lake Michigan. You can even see parts of the mighty Mac. Great location, we had no complaints at all. Would love to comeback again

Good stay

A nice location and property. Beach area is nice with a more natural look as opposed to just sand. Will require car to get to Wilderness Park as road to park has no side to walk. Would recommend.

Beautiful abode

This was a great place to stay and would love to come again! We built a fire nearly every night and if weather conditions were a clearer I’m sure we could have seen the Northern Lights from the backyard. Very well equipped with anything we would have forgotten. Loved the kayaks! Water was crystal clear!

Quiet Retreat

The location was perfect. It was minutes away from the city, and it felt like we were on our own little island. Go to the Dark Park located near by. They have telescopes and an astrologer there who can help you navigate your star gazing! Super cool. Would recommend again!

Family vacation

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay! There was plenty of space for all of us and we loved spending time in the sun room in the evening. The house had everything we needed to cook meals and have a comfortable stay. With young kids, we wanted to let them run around the yard, but there were many tall weeds making it not enjoyable. If the outdoor area was improved we’d love to return.

Lovely Place

We enjoyed our stay very much at this lovely cottage. Nice and clean when we arrived. Coffee maker needed some cleaning before use. Kitchen utensils well stocked! Slept in comfort. Enjoyed the birds (Hope the sandhill youngster's wing healed ):-( We saw the northern lights on our last night. Hooray! Don was prompt in replying to our request to douse the outdoor lights at night. Perfect! Second bedroom could use a bedside light. Thanks for a beautiful stay.

What a fantastic house

This house was perfect for our family trip. The house was meticulous, clean, well organized, and had everything we needed to make our family vacation a blast. It was on its own private beach on Lake Michigan, beautiful sunset and sunrises lots of wildlife to be seen and only 10 to 15 minutes away from the port to Mackinaw. We felt like we were staying at a friends house as the host was extremely considerate to his guests, having very nice soaps, shampoos, and even left us a festive table decoration for the memorial day weekend. highly recommend renting this house if you’re looking to be in the area. Just don’t rent it the same weekend we are because we’ll be back. 😀

Great Trip

Me and my family stayed at this property for a short summer trip to Mackinac Island and the UP. It was a great time. I have never stayed at a place so prepared and equipped for guests. They literally had anything and everything we would need from shampoo to toothpaste. We did bring our own, but so nice to know it was available. Paper towels, toilet paper all there. The kitchen is also fully stocked with all the pots pans etc that you will need. Location was amazing and so close to the ferry and downtown Mackinac city. There is a little store called the Trading Post right down the road for odds and ends like groceries and some beer and wine. We were a family of eight and we never ran out of hot water. The only thing to note is there were quite a few bugs-fish flies, mosquitos and biting flies off and on. Definitely not a deal breaker for us! Also it is a natural shoreline as far as the beach goes but there is a public beach access down the road if you want more wide open sand. Again not important to us, but it may be to someone else. We will/would definitely stay here again!
