As you make your way through the home, you'll notice bright, beachy decor creating the perfect island setting. There are TVs in all of the bedrooms and two levels of outdoor decks where you can watch the sunrise over the Atlantic. Wake up to the sound of waves crashing and end your days with unforgettable views.

The upper-level living room holds a lavish, leather sectional with enough seating for your whole crew. Preparing meals is a breeze in the custom kitchen equipped with all new stainless steel appliances, new granite countertops, and a large stainless steel sink.

Luxury furnishings, coastal decor, and exquisite details await in this oceanfront gem only steps from the sandy shores of Hatteras Island.

The private pool is open seasonally from 4/26/2025 and closes 10/12/2025. Dates are subject to change.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Great week!

Our family was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the home and amenities. We had a wonderful stay with the pup in tow. Owners have a great outdoor space to contain a dog and the walk to the beach was a great place to take family photos with beautiful dunes and white sand. We hope to return next summer.

Loved this house!

We really loved staying here. So much room to spread out. We had 10 adults and never felt on top of each other. The pool was awesome and the beach was great as well. It is a little bit of a hike but nothing crazy. It was clean and well supplied. We would definitely come back.

Comfortable nice view

Short walk to the beach, you’re able to drive on the beach in front of the house. Beds were made and comfortable. House needs a deep clean dog hair everywhere. No extra blankets so bring your own

It’s the little things!!!

The location is nice. Unfortunately for the amount of money we spent, it is the little things that make all the difference. This house has a mildew/moldy smell when you walk in the front door. Cleanliness was not up to standard. Dirty kitchen appliances, random garbage left around the house. Whoever cleans is not doing a overall check before new guests arrive. Not sure I would choose a home managed by Vacasa again.

Castle on the beach

House was nice but the cleaning crew did a terrible job. Dishes in the dishwasher dirty, tables had crumbs, furniture was full of crumbs, cigarette butts left on the tables.

Lovely home on the beach!!

They need to vacuum the entire house, lots of dog hair! Made us vacuum instead of cleaning people! We had 8 people and they provided 8 bath towels no more! Also no beach/pool towels! Pool not heated!!!

Family Vacation

The house was perfect for our family. Great location just a short walk through the dunes to the beach. I was a bit nervous about the cleanliness of the home after reading reviews but the house was well cleaned when we arrived. Furnishings were welcoming and comfortable to our family. We enjoyed the pool during the hot days. Overall the kitchen was well stocked but a few items were missing including a plug for the sink, a drainer for wet dishes. When we arrived a picket was missing from the upper level deck railing leaving an opening large enough for a child to fall through. I contacted management and someone was out to repair it along with a few loose pickets within a day. Some of the information on the website was inaccurate and should be updated. There is no ping pong table and some promotional offerings listed originally had expired.

Great house just lacking other areas

The house itself was nice. The cleaning company did an awful job cleaning it prior to us arriving. There was dog hair everywhere and not just a little bit, a lot. We had to vacuum the entire house prior to unpacking. We had to wipe down the counters, table and couches because they were sticky and had food residue all over them. The one comforter had fresh blood stains on it. There were glasses from the kitchen left in bedrooms and food wrappers all around the floor. The bathrooms were cleaned thoroughly. There are also things that do not work in the house. Overall it was a nice stay just a lot of work that we shouldn’t have had to do just arriving for vacation. I really hope the owners consider a different company for the turn overs of this house.

Wasn’t a horrible stay but not worth the money

It definitely was not worth the money that we paid to stay here. Many things were outdated, the electrical was not great, and it wasn’t all that clean. there was mold on the shower curtains, light bulbs were out, windows were left open without screens which allowed bugs to come in and there was a family of crickets living in the ceiling in the living room that was so incredibly loud you could hear it on the lower levels of the house in the evening. The upper railing on the outside deck was not attached to the home and the balusters were loose and our small child almost fell off the upper deck because of this. The beds were incredibly hard and uncomfortable. The best thing in the home was the couch in the living room. The lights flickered when they were on and there were not exhaust fans in the bathroom. The slot machine was not working either. The smaller fridge under the counter was not cold enough and couldn’t be adjusted. The dining room furniture basically had no cushions, it was like sitting on wood and they seemed gross. We would have expected this home to not cost as much as we spent for all the issues there were. The hot tub was wonderful, as was the pool. There was a step missing on one of the pool steps which made getting out of the pool tough. In addition to these things, the road getting to the house is a mess. Although that isn’t the fault of the owners, someone should be contacted.

family week at the beach

We had a wonderful time on the beach and in the area. The location was exactly what we were expecting. The pool was great to have. Unfortunately, the house was not as wonderful. It was not cleaned well: refrigerator smelled, I swept up a considerable amount of dog hair, the air conditioning was not consistent in the different rooms. It would be good if they had a couple fans for the rooms that were warm. A chair was broken, one of the bathrooms had mold, and with a house that large there should be a regular coffee maker, not just a Keurig. I am not usually particular, but with such a pricey rental, I would expect more.

Loved our stay!

House exactly as described, very comfortable and clean. Well equipped with everything we needed for our extended family of 6 adults and 2 children. Access to the beach was a very short walk across the dunes - the kids loved their time playing on the beach. My only complaint was that the pool was not heated. We stayed in May and the water was a bit too cold. I’m sure it would be fine later into the summer.

Family vacation

We loved the house! Lots of space and amenities, perfect for a large family. Would definitely stay here again just wish the walk to the beach was easier, hard to carry little ones through the hot sand and wagons didn’t roll well. House has everything you will need for a wonderful vacation. Our only complaint was the late check in, house was not available until 6:00pm that’s a whole day wasted of precious vacation time.

Our vacation this year was one of the best! The house was perfect for our group and had everything we needed for fun and comfort. This was our first time with Outer Beaches Realty and we plan on being returning customers. We come to the Outer Banks every summer behinning 10 years ago and look forward to next year! This house was very spacious with a great set up. The pool added lots of fun for the kids! Rogue Wave is a very nice home with very good views of the ocean and sound, and excellent beach access. The hot tub also is very nice with good views of the evening sky. This stretch of the Avon beach is really nice, and it will benefit from the planned beach nourishment project next year. The house has very good shaded parking underneath to keep the cars cool and sheltered. This is a very good beach house, and we have had very good experiences with OBR.
