Welcome to EdiStar with backside facing to private & quiet Point Street. EdiStar enjoys the ocean breeze & view from both inside and out. The deck and porch are great to take in the ocean views & sounds by day and on a clear night amazing star gazing by night. From the open deck you can enjoy the colors of sunrise & sunset, or simply relax to the sounds of the ocean.

The recently updated home has open concept living, with a combined kitchen/dining/living area & split bedroom floorplan. Edistar is completed with a covered/enclosed sun porch that has extra living, dining, reading space, foosball table & giant Jenga. Beyond the enclosed & covered porch that is filled with light and air from its many windows is the large open sundeck.

Downstairs you will find beach toys & chairs in addition to a plethora of games for kids of all ages. Including, Ping Pong table, cornhole, bocci ball, croquet, giant connect four, beach tennis paddles & more.

We supply both a gas and charcoal grill, we start the season with a full tank of propane and ask the guest to continue that in perpetuity for each other as we aren't there.

Iconic Beach Rental

Location!!!! Location!!!! Quiet street literal steps to the beach, fenced in yard (rare find), SO MANY extras-games especially. It is clear that the owners put thought into making this property a one of a kind experience for everyone. Would highly recommend for those that want the true beach vacation.

Great beach rental.

We loved the proximity to the beach. The house was furnished with everything we needed. The sunroom was a delightful bonus and convenient space for our dog to stay when we were on the beach during the day.

A great choice

The EdiStar is vintage Edisto style, but the house has been updated and is thoughtfully prepared for guests. We found everything we needed and enjoyed the short walk to the beach. We appreciated the bath products and all the beach chairs, games, umbrellas, etc. that were available. It's also a luxury to have linens provided and beds made upon arrival. The house was very clean and well-appointed. We would gladly return.

Beach trip with young adult and grandbaby

Just too short!! The location and set up of this house is wonderful! Great design for couples/families to have some privacy and lots of thoughtful details in the house. Host response to a few questions was very prompt. Would definitely stay at the home again.

Edi-Star is a Star!

Great house for our family. We enjoy the floor plan of an older beach house and this home is being updated without loosing it's charm. The fenced yard is a great feature! Hope to return soon.

Colleen was fabulous to work with! We had a peaceful and relaxing stay.

This property was perfect! Colleen was always available if a question came up. It was a perfect for my mom, my daughter and myself - a girl trip! Just a short walk to the beach - which was wonderful for my mom. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch and read. We made some wonderful memories!

The best of all you're looking for in Edisto

This home is pet friendly, close to beach access, close to Whaley's, and the busy side (Palmetto) is fenced in for safety (think children/pets) but with very low traffic on the other. Sheets/towels provided, which makes life easier, and lots of games and beach toys for kids. Layout of the house is great too. Will definitely return...thanks so much to the owners!

Perfect Beach Location

Walk across the street and straight into the ocean! The sun porch with large windows that open to let the breezes blow is ideal for morning coffee and afternoon naps. The 3rd bathroom is not accessible from inside the home, located on the ground floor, perfect to rinse off after the beach. The host was very responsive and lovely to work with.

Family Vacation

This beach house rental is basically perfect! The Edistar more than comfortably fit 7 adults and a medium to large sized dog. The home was clean and well-equipped, as well as extremely close to a beach access. The space offers a multitude of places to sit/lounge and a spacious, functional kitchen. The beds were so comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this rental to anyone looking to enjoy a cozy, quiet, convenient trip to Edisto Beach! We hope to be back soon!

Perfect Escape

Edistar had everything we needed to escape and more - comfy beds, tons of fun puzzles and games (ex. giant Uno and Jenga), cozy sitting spaces, a huge deck for entertaining, grills, beach chairs and toys, two large refrigerators and freezers, a washer and dryer, outdoor shower, and most important, a warm family feeling! Did I mention it’s literally steps from the beach? The owner was super responsive which made the whole thing easy-peasy. I’d love to come back next year.

Edistar! We loved it!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Edistar! It was comfortable for our extended family of 12 and we loved the proximity to the beach. The kitchen was stocked with whatever we needed. As a mother of 4, I appreciated the simple touches, such as plenty of hooks in the bathrooms/bedrooms for hanging bath linens, bags, etc. It helped keep everything neat and organized. Colleen was super responsive and helpful. We would love to stay again in the future!

"We Like This Place"

Those were the words of our 3 grandchildren. There were so many things in the house for them to do and play with when they weren't on the beach. They certainly never had a boring moment! (They also got to be a part of the experience of helping the hatched turtles find their home in the sea!) I only wish this house was a bit bigger so we we book it for next year as we'll have a great-grand then. It's a great beach house with much to offer!

Location, Location, Location

This house is the PERFECT location for a family. The beach access is a very short walk and the ocean side is on Point Street which is quiet, wide and easy to cross. We brought/rented bikes for our crew and they had a blast biking on Point every day. The house had plenty of beach stuff that was out for use and the outdoor shower was helpful for rinsing off. We were able to comfortably sleep 12 people (4 adults and 8 kids). The owners were extremely responsive and helpful. We highly recommend this house to others!

Wonderful getaway

We loved this house for us and our pups. It was exactly as advertised. Leave your beach chairs at home! There were at least 6 available for use along with loads of beach toys. Plenty of room and different areas to hang out and relax with a lot of different furniture. It was great to tan on the back deck listening to the waves. We had a blast playing foozeball and giant Jenga in the enclosed porch when it rained. And when it was nice, and you opened all the window, the lovely breeze went through the whole house. And you could absolutely hear the ocean. The beach access is literally right across a quiet street. And in late April during the week, we had the beach mostly to ourselves. The drive into Charleston was easy too! This was our first trip to Edisto and would love to go back!

Overall experience at this property was amazing for my family. Location perfect and beach house well equipped for cooking, games, and fun in the sun. All the beds in the property were comfortable except King Master…the bed was uncomfortable and seemed to be broken down and very worn. Other than that everything within the home was comfortable and welcoming. We loved that we could bring our small Shih Tzu and the property had a wonderful fenced yard however, the lawn had many ant hills in the fenced grass area and around the property. My dog stepped in a large ant hill and paw was covered with them. Recommend the owner hire an exterminator or remove the ant hills themselves. These items identified would not keep us from renting the property again. We absolutely enjoyed every bit of our stay and we thank the owners for their hospitality.

Amazing location, roomy, and clean!

This house is so perfect for a family or friend group vacation. So many beds and so much room! The place was super clean and so so close to the beach - just a minute walk! The hosts were also super responsive and helpful. Check in and out also very easy. Will definitely be back!!

Great location.

Great house and location. Kitchen was great and had everything we needed to cook our meals. Enjoyed all the games inside and out. Large front deck and sitting area downstairs. Fur baby had room to run outside in fenced yard. Great host and quick to respond. Fit our Family. We will be back.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

Location is 2nd only to ocean front, much thought was put into everything selected for the home. We stay in the home and add anything we feel is missing or not up to our standard. It is on the paved part of Point Street which is only a short section, no traffic, large fenced yard. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and come together.
