The cabin was a great location for a graduation at Roanoke College. The fully stocked kitchen helped us have meals at the cabin instead of eating out. Everything was as advertised! We plan to come back again!
Stayed here on our trip to Salem to ride some mountain bike trails, it was perfect for my group, great location near trails and very private, thanks again!
Wonderful cabin, so new and clean. Ideal location for hiking Triple Crown and others. 15 minutes to breweries, restaurants etc.
Quiet location. Fire pit was great addition. Highly recommend this property!
We absolutely loved this private little home nestled in the beautiful mountains of Appalachia (but only 15 minutes to everything). Thank you for supplying Smores for the fire pit! There was a little bird nesting in the front door wreath and it was sooooo quiet outside at night. We really enjoyed ourselves!
This cozy cottage was a great get away! Close to expressway for getting around but still plenty of distance for quite time with a wooded tree line in the back and an attractive front porch for morning coffee. We were 2 adults + 2 teens for a softball tournament. Don’t rely on the couch for sleeping, it would be better to bring an air mattress. Definitely would stay again!!!
This was a great, up to date house. It was less than 10 minutes from Roanoke College and Salem. The neighbors are visible during the day but not close. Very quiet.
We had such a nice time! Everything we needed was right there. The cabin was super clean. The setting was perfect and so close to Salem. We enjoyed the firepit until we had a special visitor (a black bear)! Ha! Overall a great experience.
This was the perfect location to hike Virginia's Triple Crown. We were also very close to Carvin's Cove and Roanoke.
Everything was updated and very clean.
Great atmosphere too! We had a campfire almost every night with the wood that was provided to us.
Sat in the rocking chairs on the front porch.
Would stay here again! Highly recommend.

The Cottage was perfect for our stay! It was very clean and nicely updated. The kitchen was well stocked. We missed out on using the fire pit due to it raining during our visit. It was very thoughtful to leave a supply for s’mores. I loved sitting on the rocking chairs on the covered porch. We saw deer every day! We even befriended the dog across the street who followed us home. Great place to stay.

Nice cottage but…
Lovely renovation close to great hiking makes this a good option. Unfortunately the floors were really dirty, and the smell of cigarette smoke took away the charm.
Ginnie was very responsive once I made her aware of the issues, but if you have any sensitivity to smoke smell I it’s a significant problem.
Beautifully updated home with modern amenities, very nicely decorated and well stocked.
The property was beautiful with an amazing back patio and fire pit (although we didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit) it is something we will use next time. Very nicely decorated with new clean furnishings and the s’mores were a nice touch. This is a bit off the beaten path at first but then you get to enjoy the beauty of the birds singing in the mornings. There is also an amazing breakfast place just in town of Salem called Salem diner that serves amazing breakfast, recommend the eggs and biscuits with gravy. I’ve eaten at a lot of places in all my travels and probably the best biscuits and gravy I can remember. We enjoyed our stay and will book again.
We chose this home due to it's proximity to the hiking. McAfee Knob, Dragon's Tooth and Tinker Cliffs are all very close by. It's also a short drive into town for food and shopping.
The house was clean and comfortable, except for the smoke smell. Ginnie came and changed out the air filter which helped somewhat but there was still a lingering smoke smell. Our clothing and luggage still smelled when we got home from our trip. It was very unfortunate because besides that this home was fantastic.
Quiet country setting minutes from Appalachian Trail, but still convenient to downtown Roanoke. Loft is perfect for an older kid to have their own space. Loved the fire pit out back.
