Perfect weekend

This is a beautiful property. I was so pleasantly surprised by the view overlooking Lake Michigan (the view is better than shown in the listing). The house is very clean and well appointed. Property manager was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Hoping to return annually.

Amazing property!!

The property was simply amazing! The views were perfect and the house itself was perfect! Great weekend for us and hopefully will be coming back next year with another couple! Darren was a great host and was helpful with restaurant suggestions and things to do. Reached out during our stay to see how it was going and checked in at the end. Great to deal with!!

Great cabin in the woods overlooking Lake Michigan - Perfection

The cabin was awesome. Kitchen had everything one might need and then some. Especially appreciated the little extra things like kitchen towels, garbage bags etc. And the views - just stunning. Thank you Darren for a wonderful and peaceful home away from home.

Beautiful cabin with an Amazing view! Perfect weekend get away for our annual ladies trip. The hot tub was perfect with that great view of Lake Michigan. We had so much fun!

Wonderful Property and Experience!

What a wonderful property! Incredible views, great amenities and a fabulous home. The location is also fantastic. The property is totally private and feels secluded, yet attractions and towns are only minutes away. We had the best of both worlds!

Fantastic Property!

We just finished an amazing weekend here! The view alone was worth every penny. The cabin was clean, well furnished and had everything we needed. We specifically enjoyed family movie night in the basement! The location was also fantastic. Only 5 minutes from Good Harbor Bay beach (which was amazing) and 10 minutes from Fishtown. Host was also a pleasure to work with and incredibly helpful. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks!!

Fabulous Summer Getaway

Our group of 7 (3 grandparents, 2 kids and 2 adults) had a fabulous week at this property! The view and location can’t be beat. Beautiful vista of Whaleback and just minutes from Good Harbor beach. The house is comfortably furnished for family dinner and movie night. Kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary equipment. Host provided great advance communication and was available to answer any minor questions that popped up along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again!

Beautiful home with an amazview view of Lake Michigan!

Our stay at Overby Woods was nothing short of amazing. The house is beautiful, the view is incredible and Darren was wonderful to work with. We had a couple of questions while we were there and he took care of them right away. The house is spacious, the kitchen is full of ammenties, and the grocery delivery service was perfect so that our fridge was stocked before we even arrived. We spent a majority of our time in Glen Arbor and it was a pretty 20 minute drive. We would definitely return!

The best!

We came to Overby Woods for our annual family vacation and to escape the city. Our stay at Overby Woods did not disappoint. The cabin is as good or even better than the photos. The view off the back deck is beautiful. The cabin had everything you could possibly need whether you are cooking, bringing home food or eating out at the many restaurants in the area. The location of the cabin is so convenient to several cute towns, the beach, many hiking and biking trails. Darren the owner was super communicative and the guide he sent ahead of our coming was super helpful and a great resource. We will definitely be back. We could not have had a better place to stay for our family vacation.

Lovely Home

We throughly enjoyed our stay! The home was extremely clean and very cozy. We had a lovely vacation! Very secluded location and just so relaxing. The basement was our favorite hang out area! Plenty of room for everyone and our pups. The highlight of our trip was seeing the northern lights! Highly recommend this property!

Leland cabin in the woods

Great stay in this beautiful log cabin. Wonderful view of the water and within a few miles of Leland and Glen Arbor. Loved the quietness in the middle of the woods. Like new appliances and everything you would need in the kitchen. Spacious deck to hang out and a hot tub to enjoy.

Beautiful Cabin and Wonderful Hosts

This property is perfectly tucked away and private, yet full of amenities and luxuries. We had three generations of family and everyone was comfortable and entertained. You cannot beat the views of Lake Michigan, fresh air, and stargazing. We weren't aware that Leland had so much to do and the hosts were SO helpful in pointing us in the right direction. Plenty of bars, restaurants, recreation (including indoor curling!), and shopping. My new favorite little beach town and we have already reserved a week for the fall.

Private Hilltop Cabin w/ a spectacular View

Perfect fall getaway for colors and cool air. Our Host was responsive and friendly. We had fast, convenient access to eateries, wineries and shopping in Leland, Lake Leelanau and Sutton’s Bay. A definite return visit is being planned! 3 adult and 2 dogs easily fit and the owner assisted with sleeping arrangements (already in place via a trundle and sleeper sofa) for our college daughter and classmate to join us mid trip! We had a view every morning folks pay for with trips to Sleeping Bear, Empire, and even Boyne Mountain; which we all did as well!! Thanks again for the easy booking, rental, and check in/out process!!

Updated cabin with a view!

Our family of 4 plus our dog had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin. The host, Darren was helpful and responded quickly with questions we had prior to our trip. The cabin has been beautifully updated and you can tell so much thought had been put into every detail making it a relaxing and comfortable getaway. We enjoyed the comfy beds, the ease of the cozy gas fireplace, the well stocked kitchen, the huge tv downstairs and the hot tub. But nothing could beat that view. Lake Michigan is visible from just about every room in the house and breathtaking from the porch. We hope to come back!

Incredible home, breathtaking views in Leelanau

My family thoroughly enjoyed our time at Darren’s property. Communication was thorough, but not annoying - Darren is a pleasure to work with! Check in was painless and the property was immaculate. We felt at home from the moment we walked through the door. The cabin itself feels authentically Michigan, but has a high end feel as It is appointed with tasteful modern amenities and appliances. I will stress that pictures simply do not do the property or the views justice. The peace and seclusion of this place is special. We spent most of our time on the deck taking in the incredible sunsets and views of Good Harbor and listened to the beautiful birdsong in the mornings and evenings. We also enjoyed the hot tub and tunes on the Bluetooth speakers. There is also a breathtaking unmarked beach and dune walk at the bottom of the road that should not be missed. We have stayed at many rental properties in Leelanau Co. over the years and this was our favorite by far. Thanks again for a great stay. We hope to be back in the fall.
