This property is special for a number of reasons. Perhaps the most unique is that it truly feels like home-away-from home. It is fully stocked, cozy, and the perfect place to spend quality time with friends and family.
The house was beautiful and big enough for 10 people to stay comfortably. The kids played outside and could be kids. The kitchen was well stocked. Having 4 bathrooms was great with that many people. I will say the bathrooms were unique. They transformed closets into bathrooms. It worked out perfect. Check in was smooth. The location was perfect. Close to McCloud and the ski area. My grandson wants us to go back next year. It has something for everyone.
This home was perfect for our family vacation! The house is lovely, clean, and perfectly located. The check-in/check-out process was smooth and the homeowners are very accommodating and responsive. We will most definitely be booking again.
Our family gathered to celebrate the life of our Dad. He lived in and loved McCloud. It was a perfect home for our family. Very welcoming. Very well stocked. Very clean. Very comfortable. We had a blast from the moment we checked in. The volleyball net and loft/game area kept the grandkids occupied and happy. We all gathered on the deck, grilled and enjoyed every moment. We will be back.
Check in and out was a breeze. Communication was great.
Highly recommend this property.
This home accommodates at least 9 adults and has three
bath/shower rooms. Anice great room with fireplace. Good kitchen set-up. We found ants in the kitchen.
Otherwise, only a few spots where household items needed repair. Clean, good bedroom linens and space.
We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was well-stocked and clean. The outdoor space and badminton net were great for playing outside with the kids. The quaint town of McCloud was beautiful and very welcoming. We browsed the little shops, visited the museum, and played at the park, all of which were a short walk away. Check-in was a breeze, and the owners were easy to communicate with.
I grew up spending summers camping and fishing in the Dunsmuir, McCloud area. Finding this very accommodating log cabin has allowed my family, (grown kids, spouses and grandchildren) the perfect home to meet and spend time together experiencing the beauty of this area and continuing a family tradition.
Overall just excellent. Lots of nice bedrooms and bathrooms; good beds; nice, comfortable furniture throughout; nice outdoor patio with dining and visiting space; plenty of dishes and cookware; excellent WiFi; plenty of streaming platforms. Location in historic district of McCloud made possible many pleasant after dinner strolls.
Absolutely beautiful house which was perfect for myself and two friends to stay for two nights as we prepped to climb Mount Shasta. Great communication from The Host and could not ask for a more beautiful setting before we started our journey. If you were in the Cloud area highly suggest this property.
Stayed here with family and kids, the house was spacious enough for a large group. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and plenty of blankets . We enjoyed the patio in the evenings and the bbq. Overall enjoyed our stay (:
Lovely visit with family. The cabin was delightfully cool with good insulation and many fans even though the days were hot!! McCloud was very charming and enjoyed hikes to the many waterfalls and even rented a party boat on Lake Siskiyou
Great property. Lots of space. Beautiful living room. Nice grill on the patio. Was a little concerned staying in summer with upper 90s for highs and only one AC unit in the loft, but it worked out fine- just opened windows at night and it stayed comfortable during the day. Midway during our stay the town issued a water quality notice and the host kindly dropped off a case of bottled water before we knew about it.
There were 8 of us attending a family reunion and not only was there plenty of room and rooms, but bathroom facilities were more than adequate. The house was stocked with games for the gathering, I won at UNO! Best of all it is an easy walk to McCloud's downtown area and the setting of the house with towering pines is shady and restful. Just across the way is the original hospital, all boarded up, but definitely historical that some of old timers were born in or at least had some great stories of sprains, burns and breaks from our childhood. Thank you for offering such a lovely home for the out of towners. Going to have to return another season to experience some snow on the ground.
Our home has been in our family since 1980. It has been a family home, vacation retreat, a bed and breakfast for over 15 years, and now a private rental.
