Sylamore Creek Retreat is a cabin tucked away in the Ozark Mountains with gorgeous views of the creek from the covered porch. Newly fenced, dogs have two acres to run on. With a queen and twin bed in one bedroom, one bathroom and an open concept living/ kitchen area with a full bed, the cabin easily accommodates five guests. Spend your mornings drinking coffee on the porch with the sounds of the creek or gather by the campfire in the evenings for smore's!

- Check in is 4:00 pm/ Check out is 11:00 am
- No smoking in or near the cabin
- Dogs are allowed, with pet fee
- No loud noise or parties
- ATV's and campers are not allowed
- Wifi available
- Smart TV in living room
- Bedroom (queen bed + twin bed)
- Living room (double bed)
- Wood burning fireplace indoors and firepit outdoors, wood provided
- Fresh linens, central heat and air, extra blankets and pillows and games provided
- While we have a termite contract, spray monthly and keep our property maintained well, our cabin is tucked away in the woods. You may be subject to encounter poison ivy, poison oak, chiggers, ticks, snakes, lizards and other crawling things. Do not leave trash or food out; this will invite the animals.
- There is no service at the creek, but fear not, we have Wi- fi. Enable Wi- fi calling and texting on your phone, while you are there, and you will be able to use your phone like normal.

Gorgeous getaway

Such a beautiful, secluded property. We love Mountain View. Stayed a week for the hubs bday getaway and it was just perfect. Would definitely recommend and would of course stay again! 👌 5 star all around!

Lovely Property!

This great property was clean, clean, clean and perfect for a 3-night stay. The beds were very comfortable and the 2-acre fenced yard was great for the dogs! It is very private and secluded but close to everything you would choose to do in the area. Highly recommended!

The location was remote but that is what we wanted. The back porch with the sounds of the creek and nature was very relaxing.

Weekend get away

Nice cozy cabin with short walking distance to the creek. Our family had a great time! Will book again in the future!

Cozy, clean cabin

Other than having a difficult time finding the cabin the night we arrived (due to the dark and maps showing it was behind a gate with a no trespassing sign), we had a great time! The cabin is clean and cozy! The host was friendly and quick to respond to questions. I will say the road is a little washed out from the recent floods so taking a car might be difficult. Our SUV was fine, though.

Great getaway!

We enjoyed our stay very much! We relaxed and spent a lot of time rocking on the front porch under the ceiling fans. The property was nice and shaded, with no mosquitoes. Our dogs loved it there. The entire 2 acre yard was fenced. We could let them out to go sniff and play with no worries. The nearby creek was a bonus. The home was equipped with everything we needed. Courtney was a great host. She was easy to work with (allowed dogs, approved adding another night) and was always quick to respond. We hope to visit again this fall. Would definitely recommend!

This property was great with a beautiful view of the mountains and the creek. My one complaint would be that there is little to no phone service but the wifi and internet on this property was excellent so it made the cell service less of an issue. All and all it was an excellent experience and we will come back again soon. Thank you 🙏

2024 Eclipse

We booked this property a year in advance because of the location to view the eclipse. It was absolutely the best decision. Everything was just perfect. With everything being fenced in, our city dogs loved being outside and smelling all the new smells. We all loved being by the ready-to-light fire pit, with sticks and logs close by to keep the marshmallows going late into the night. Enjoying our morning coffee on the partially screened-in porch, we actually saw a pair of bald eagles! The only sound was the rushing of the creek and the clear skies gave us the perfect view. Thank you so much.

Nice week in Arkansas

We spent a week in this property . The property located in very quiet place with great view on creek and mountains around The house is nice and cozy inside , well decorated . The kitchen has everything you need . There is fireplace we used every evening after hiking. We enjoyed the last days of golden fall in Arkansas

Perfect Beanfest Getaway

I loved this property. It was very clean, well appointed, and quite spacious. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything you would need, and the laundry was very convenient. The large covered porch was great for enjoying coffee in the morning. I found the location very convenient to town. My rental car was an SUV and I had no issue getting in or out, despite torrential rains on the last day. The owner was very quick to respond when I reached out via the VRBO app. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Semiversary Getaway

Great place to stay, but no access to the water.

We booked this place for a last minute getaway. When I looked at the listing and pictures of the property I thought it was located on the creek. The access is actually through neighbors property. The neighbor has put a fence and a gate so no one can get to the creek. We went and asked if we could have permission to go through, and he isn’t letting anyone due to a legal battle. I totally understand, it’s his property. We were a bit disappointed, because that was the reason we booked this place. Other than that this is a nice place to stay. There is a nice screened in front porch. The kitchen has all that you need. The beds are comfortable and it’s not all that far from town.

Perfect family getaway

Perfect for our family! We celebrated our baby’s 1st birthday during our stay!! Very clean, comfy beds, wish we would’ve been able to access the creek, as originally stated. But, due reasons outside of the owners control, we weren’t. We still had a great time at the campfire and not too bad of a drive to water access! It is a long, bumby gravel road- so, be prepared for that!

Close to Area Attractions

Great place for family or couples who want to play in local water holes or shop in Mt View. The long drive down the dirt road was a bit more than expected but we were in a truck and it was no issue. Unfortunately, due to the neighbors own legal issues (unrelated to the owners of this VRBO) we were not able to play in the creek by the house without access through their property. So we had to venture out to other parks and recreation areas to play. The owner was prompt when we asked for more wash cloths and brought them to us. We had a fun time as a family playing in local creeks! I also enjoyed coffee on the porch each morning. The only thing I wished for was a hair dryer. #VacaHair

Arkansas Adventure

Great clean place to stay! Stayed there for a week with the family and dog. 10-15 minutes from Mountain View. Perfect get away by the Sylamore Creek where it's quiet and relaxing. Courtney was very responsive! Nice people to deal with. Thank you Courtney and Kerry!

Great place!

Girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay here. Weather wasn't very cooperative and neither was the water level of the creek but that didn't stop us from having a great time. Yes the road is a little treacherous but we went in and didn't leave until checkout. Everything in the cabin was as described, very clean, and the linen on the bed smelled great! Owner was great with communication and even delivered us some firewood for the fire pit. Luckily we were able to take advantage of it before the storms! Overall definitely recommend.

Great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very clean! Do not drive a small car to the location. The access to the creek was nice. There were 4wheelers up and down the road and in and out of the creek. If we had children with us at the creek, I could see where that would be a problem. Especially since the 4wheelers ride in the creek. At one point there was a Jeep riding in the creek. The porch is very relaxing! The bed was comfy. There is everything you need in the kitchen. Having a washer and dryer was great, didn’t have to come home with dirty laundry!

Relaxing. Interesting wildlife. Close to Sylamore Creek.

Loved the porch. Lots of birds and squirrels. Yard was well maintained. Even watched a turkey take a dust bath by the creek. Just wish dirt road wasn't so rough. Cabin was very clean and well-maintained. Well stocked with necessities. Easy walk to the creek. The weather was great. I recommend this property.

Growing up in rural, southern Baxter County, my dad had a 60° rule; if it was 60° or over, we were going fishing. If it was too cold to fish, we were taking advantage of hunting season. We grew up outside on a creek or in a river. Living in Mountain View now with my husband and young family, we get to live, work and play in this beautiful place. Having known the joys of the Ozarks, we want to share this space with others so that they may take part in the same great experiences.

This property demands a slow down and relaxation. It is the perfect place to unwind at the creek and leave the hustle and bustle behind. After a day of rest or play, one can easily slip into town for festivities on the square or dinner and drinks on the river. Alone with a significant other or here with the young'ins, this place has it all.
