Step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax with your family and/or friends at this quiet, secluded cabin surrounded by the Tonto National Forest. Plenty of great nearby trails, and magnificent views of the Mogollon Rim. Three apple trees in front that provide great shade as well as late dinner for the elk. Plenty of room for up to 6 guests (4 adults) with all the comforts of home including a fully stocked kitchen. A great place to unwind and truly relax. The cabin has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and two twin beds in the other. Two bathrooms, both with showers only. We have a futon that turns into a double size bed in the living room. A TV with a smart Blu Ray player is available with a wide selection of DVDs and Blu Rays to enjoy. We also have a phone booster to help using hotspots, no Wi-Fi available. A large porch to sit under and enjoy the birds, reading a book or playing card and board games. Seating in the front yard with a propane fire pit, perfect for roasting marshmallows and enjoying the amazing night skies. You will find a propane BBQ grill located in the backyard to whip up that perfect meal. The property is fenced in for everyone to enjoy and your pets to safely run and play. The cabin is located about 30 minutes from Mogollon Rim and all the great lakes and hiking trails, located along the 300 road. One of our favorite hiking trails, Horton Creek, is about 4 miles away and a joy during any season!

Loved our stay here. It was exactly as described. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The home had everything you need. We will definitely be back!
Me and my husband stayed for 2 nights for his birthday and had such a wonderful time! They even hung a little happy birthday banner that we thought was so sweet. We grilled and hung out outside and watched the birds. There’s trails walking distance from the house that have beautiful views we got to enjoy also. Would love to stay there again in the future.
To start off Deb was in contact with us from day one and till the night before we came up. There’s a fire a few miles north east of the cabin on the rim. I was concerned that it might get in the way of our tip. Not one time I was reminded of the fire while we were there. The cabin is great. The 2 bathrooms are a plus. Never any cold water. We were never cold. There’s a pellet stove we didn’t even have to use to stay warm. 34 outside and with the small heaters inside it staid 70 easy inside. What I loved the most it this place is perfect if you have a dog. My dog loved watching the birds and squirrels play in the front yard. Deb has everything you need if you’re bringing your pet. Another cool thing is she has labels on most cabinets and drawers so you know where things are without opening them up and searching. I have to say our time there I can’t find one thing that got in our way or couldn’t find. We had a great time. Will definitely have to stay again when we can. Thanks again Deb for the late night medicine for my daughter’s stomach. Life saver.
Great quiet and dog friendly getaway for our family!
This is a great place to stay and we were able to include our dog on this family vacation. Very quiet and friendly area. House was perfect and had everything we needed. We would stay here again!
The property met our expectations and the host was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be returning in the future. Great place to enjoy quietness and the birds feeding.
Overall this was a wonderful cabin. We had plenty of room for the 6 of us. There was everything we needed and everything was very clean. The only thing that was kinda crappy was the neighbor dog. He was very sweet but my dogs do not like newbies. I just wish we would have known there was a dog next door. But it wasn’t anyone’s fault. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
We loved our stay at Deb and Roberts cabin. The area is amazing, the cabin was clean, beautiful and exactly as advertised. The area is amazing, the hosts are great people. We will definitely be back!
Completely fenced and safe yard for the dogs! Nice little cabin equip with everything you may need including comfy beds and pillows. Lots to do in the area or just lay around and relax in beautiful nature. The owners were very kind and communicated very well. We will be back again and again.
Fantastic hosts, a wonderful cabin, and a beautiful area! Everything about the trip was wonderful, from communication and check in to relaxing mornings on the patio with breakfast surrounded by nature.
Thank you Deb! We enjoyed meeting you and your family (human and dog) and we loved the property. It was so quiet and relaxing and just what we needed. We plan to come back soon!
My husband and I stayed over the weekend and had a wonderful and relaxing time. We brought our two dogs with and they loved meeting the hosts dog and running the fence with him. The neighbors would also stop to greet our dogs. We took a hike with beautiful views right down the street. We absolutely cannot wait to return!
Great property in a small community away from town. The cabin has all of the essentials to spend a few days resting. We enjoyed the dvd collection and puzzles. We went on a few walks exploring the surrounding forest. We went during winter and are excited to go back in the summer.
Enjoyed a quiet weekend for our winter holiday. The house is cozy and comfortable. Each room had its own space heater so you can adjust as you please. No internet or TV. It was great! Lots of games to play. The @6 miles of dirt road to get there were in good shape. Would stay here again.
We enjoyed the property and the owners were fabulous! Walk down the street to be in the Tonto Forrest and hang out on the porch while the dogs play in the fenced yard!
It was a nice cozy little cabin in a quiet neighborhood. The cabin was equipped with all of our needs. We did see some javelina while walking our dogs, so be very careful. The host was very responsive and also very quick to let us know about the APS updates. I wish that we came more prepared for power outages, as we didn't have a good enough light for grilling to bypass the stove- so pack a good light/lamp/flashlight.
Property was great for the dog. She had a blast in the cool weather running up and down fenced driveway. Very kind helpfull hosts. You will need 4 wheel drive in inclement weather. Overall good experiences.

Perfect getaway from the heat within the Tonto National Park. Lovely attentive hosts who care. My dogs loved playing in the fenced in yard and with Gunther the host dog, who is a sweetie!
Cabin had everything we needed to sleep comfortably, cook all meals and relax on the hammock while reading. This was the perfect for dogs with the fenced in yard and doggie door, they didn’t want to leave.
Thanks Deb!!
We had a wonderful weekend at Deb's cabin! She greeted us upon arrival and was nothing short of kind and helpful (she even let us borrow a table for a friend's wedding we were in town for)! The cabin was clean, cozy, and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the birds and walking around the neighborhood. We talked about booking again when it's cooler and most definitely will be back!
The property location was just what we were looking for: away from everything and a great base for our outdoor activities. The house was very well put together and was absolutely wonderful for our family and our dog.

About the host
Hosted by Deborah Bain
We are Deb and Robert Bain, we have lived in this area fulltime for over 6 years now, moved up from Phoenix, AZ. Bought this little home as a weekend getaway and a few years later began to build our new home next door, which we finished in November of 2021. We are fortunate enough to work remote so are able to enjoy the beautiful country year-round!
Why they chose this property
This area is so peaceful, fresh air and beautiful scenery. If you are looking for a central location to explore all the wonders of Mogollin Rim or to visit the Payson, Strawberry-Pine or even the Show Low areas, this is the place to be. There is so much to do and see here or you can even choose to simply hang out on the front porch or sit in the front yard at night to enjoy the stars, the amazing milky way and don't forget to watch for those shooting stars! The home was built in 1960, the interior was remodeled in 2015. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is comfortable for up to 6 people (4 adults) with a queen bed in one room, 2 twins in the other and a futon that pulls out to a full-size bed, in the living room to sleep. The yard is completely fenced in and ready for your furry four-legged family members along with room for you and your family to relax, have a BBQ, and/or play some great outdoor games. Come on over to our great place in the mountains and enjoy all central Arizona has to offer, in whatever way best suits you and your family. Your stay here will definitely ensure you feel relaxed, refreshed and ready to get back to "reality".
