REDISCOVER family here by playing a game of cards or reading a favorite book you forgot you loved. Surprise your children with a magical scavenger hunt with a hidden room and dress up clothes or hours of fun on King's Fortress Playground with soft AstroTurf surfaces.

We are situated on 5 acres with the main areas fenced with sidewalks for all to enjoy. The home has six bedrooms with a cozy library landing space to curl up a read a book. There is also a small Curious George room with a twin bed and Library Landing is large enough to hold a queen air mattress, which gives you eight total sleeping areas. There are toys and games for all ages including costumes of all sizes. Perfect for family reunions and other family gatherings!

King's fortress playground, swim spa that holds a dozen and the private pool with an outdoor cabana for drinks and snacks are all on property, private, and all for your group. The swim spa is always ready no matter the weather. Pool towels are provided.

Family Union

The house was plenty large enough for our family group and had great communal space for gathering, meals, games. The setting was lovely- water views, playground for kids and pool. The outside spaces needed clean up- we had to clean all outside furniture before using and some of the cushions were not usable. Though we did not opt to have the pool heated we were not expecting it to be dirty and unusable at all. Perhaps the seasonal clean up has not been done? I would also suggest toilets be replaced with handicap height- these were extremely short and small. Enjoyed our stay- had great fun with our family and that is what we came for!

Wonderful Inside and Out

We had a group of 16 co workers and we all had a comfortable space without feeling like we were on top of each other. Lisa was easy to contact and quick to reply. There were even 2-3 "extra" fun things that helped make staying at the house a fun experience. We didn't have any kids, but it would be so fun for families!!

Great Vacation

Our family absolutely loved our experience at this house! The owners have gone well out of their way to have things to do while staying. Our 13 year old niece LOVED the scavenger hunt!!!!Our 4 year old niece LOVED the toys and things for her to play/play on. And was totally into the dress-up closet!We all LOVED the amount of room we had. And we’re thankful there was a Christmas tree up for Christmas Really, the only way to improve would be maybe make sure all the light bulbs are working and make sure all the pots and pans are induction stove compatible.We've discussed coming back here in the summer!

Jameson Family Christmas

Our group of 18 loved everything about our stay. With ages ranging from 2 to 78, it's hard to find any location that has interests for all, but this one did. There was room for each group to take part in the activity of their choice without being on top of others and their interests. The kids especially loved the stay - they were busy from the time they opened their eyes until they closed them at night. They're already asking to do it again next Christmas!! Highly recommend to groups of all sizes/ages.

Beautiful property with lots to do

This house is both gorgeous and comfortable. Kitchen is great for cooking and there are plenty of areas to relax. Pool and pool house are very nice. Everything from lights to ceiling fans and tvs are all controlled with multiple remotes, so be prepared to spend some time figuring everything out and not all of it has good instructions. Check the temps of the pool or swim spa upon arrival and adjust them so they have time to warm up.

Hideout Place

We made the most of our time there and mostly enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub. I wish we had known beforehand that we didn't have access to the lake or that we couldn’t go fishing or kayaking. The additional cost to heat the pool was unknown. It was a bummer that the lights around the pool did not work during our stay. Also, watch out for the sprinkler that runs along the sidewalk makes it very slippery in some areas, our daughter actually slipped so be careful. The swamp access area was another area of concern which anyone can fall in and it also seemed sketchy. The house looked outdated and the lawn was not well maintained, so be careful of critters. The creepiest room was the kids hideout place behind a bookshelf, the whole group thought it was creepy and even the little door in the bathroom. We definitely didn't like the fact that most of the doors didn't have locks, including the bathrooms. We made the best of the experience, but we were all disappointed.

Wonderful getaway

The house was more than large enough for the 16 of us. The pool was wonderful and we used it everyday. The kitchen was big enough for some us to cook and others to sit and talk while we were cooking. The kids and teens loved the movie room. We played lots of games at the large dining room table.

Perfect Stay

You couldn’t find a better place for kids! From the pool to the playground and the house with a movie room, dress up closet, toy closet, craft cupboard and kids books we couldn’t ask for more. The kids were entertained our whole 4 day stay. Jim was very responsive to any need and quick to fix any issues. We made some wonderful family memories here and hope to be back!

Star Gaze at this East Texas Home

I chose this property because of the great reviews. The amenities offered for my children and grandchildren were also important in my decision. Upon rental and before we arrived prompt communication with the owner was very much appreciated. Instructions for home entry, parking, etc were very clear. This house is in a beautiful, quiet community. There was plenty of room inside this large house. The outdoor amenities made it easy to sit and look at the night sky where the stars really are big and bright! Kitchen amenities were good. The coffee/tea bar was a nice touch. Coffee beans were available to grind. Other coffee “tools” such as the French press were a plus. The grandkids loved the pancake and waffle bar with owner supplied syrup and pancake mix. (thank you!) There were many activities for the grandkids such as arcade games, movies, books, and kayaks. The massage chair was a hit with the adults. The swim spa was nice and clean. There were a few minor issues that needed attention before our stay. However, in speaking with the owner after our stay he assured me that these issues were resolved. I'm rating this five stars because of the property amenities and beautiful location. This was just what I was looking for to have a great getaway enjoyed by my family.

We had 21 people, ages 1-72. Everyone had plenty of room. The kitchen is awesome. Two washers/dryers were very helpful with the little ones. It’s a beautiful setting and we enjoyed everything so much!

A great home for family gatherings

We had a multi-generational get together at this home. Kids and adults had a great time. The check in was at 4pm. We got there at 5:30 and cleaning crew was still on premises which was a bit disconcerting seeing multiple cars parked in the driveway, but they were finished and very helpful. Communication with owner was easy and responsive. We had a great stay and highly recommend this house if you want a great place to just hang out together and relax.

Everything you need

This home is awesome! We had 15 adult ladies staying in the home and we had everything we needed and extras. There was enough space for everyone. There were board games, arcade games and a cute scavenger hunt game waiting for us. You will not be disappointed. We would totally book this place again.

Great house for a family gathering!

There are so many things to do on the property for a family of all ages. We had our 6 grandchildren there ranging from 7 years old to infant along with the adults. They had so much fun with all the toys and books and fun playground. The adults were afforded some quiet time while the kids all watched movies in the movie room (which is a great space)! The rooms were very nice and the kids loved the bunk rooms and toddler room. It was very helpful that there were baby gates provided too. The kitchen is spacious and worked well for our family meals and the tables accommodated all of us. It was a nice get away. Communication was very quick and easy with Lisa and Jeff. If you’re headed to that area, we highly recommend staying at Jerob’s Place.

New Year's Family Reunion

You can't ask for a better family oriented property from the movie room, to the games available, to the play castle and the pool. This property has it all for all ages. But the best part is the property owners who stayed in communication with us throughout the process answering all our questions. And when an issue came up with the previous occupants that would impact our stay, Jeff immediately called us with options to manage the issue. Everything worked out fine. We highly recommend this property with it's easy access to East Texas activities , amazing hosts and fabulous family fun on property. Thanks Jeff and Lisa

Christmas celebration

Absolutely Fantastic!!!!!!

This house is magical! We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday by having our family of 18 spend the weekend at this house. We all wanted to stay there forever! The kids (ages 3 months-13 years) enjoyed the playground, the trampoline, the jacuzzi, all the toys in the house, all the hidden rooms, the arcade games, the treasure chest, the movie room. We were so comfortable because of all the space. It never felt crowded. We enjoyed a campfire where we made s'mores and sang camp songs--it could not have been better! And everyone took a turn in the massage chair and loved it! The hosts were so warm and welcoming, and they bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect for us. We definitely want to come back! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this wonderful VRBO house! Worth every penny!

Amazing getaway

We had an amazing time! This property has it all. The kids had an amazing time playing in the pool and on the playground. We loved the swim spa and couldn’t get enough of the massage chair! This property is perfect for large gatherings because there is plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and relax. We can’t wait to book again and appreciate how considerate and responsive the hosts were for us during our stay. Great experience!

Hands down the best time we have ever had as a family!

Great house and wonderful memories! The kids had so much to do at this house. The kids had so much fun on the playground, discovering the hidden rooms and swimming in the pool and swim spa. The adults kept fighting over the massage chair! We had a wonderful time and it was very relaxing. We very much appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, the coffee bar and the nice touch with the waffles bar for breakfast. We had a wonderful time and plan on returning again in the future!

Family Reunion Getaway

We rented this home because of its size and amenities for our family reunion. We did arrive during a rain storm, but the home owners quickly had the pool guy out that evening cleaning the pool and had him show up each day of our stay to ensure it could be used and had proper chemicals. I've stayed in many VRBOs and beds and linens are super important to me. This home has very comfy beds and pillows in all bedrooms. Granted we didn't make it up to the hidden 8th bedroom in the attic but the other 7 were used and everyone in the family slept well! There was an abundance of luxury towels and they even provided several beach towels for use after dips in both pools, which was needed! The massage chair was a hit as well, and at the end of each day we had a line ready to use it! Lots of toys for the kids to play with and they even had baby gate for the stairs (which we had forgotten). Extra stars for a wide variety coffee bar and even providing a waffle bar with all ingredients for one of our breakfasts! Responsive owners to address any needs you may have during your stay.

Labor Day Weekend Celebration

A perfect getaway location for multigenerational groups. Our group ranged from 6 to 76. From relaxing on the porch swing, swimming in the pool ( a real pool, not a cramped slash pool), to watching college football on TV. The spacious kitchen allowed more than one cook at a time. You are in a wooded, rural location - 20 minutes to Lindale and 30 to Tyler.

Jerob's Place is rightly named as it was home to a very special young man who against all odds: jumps, runs and has spent years playing on the Kings Fortress and learning to swim in the pool. He is now able to not only jump but to get around well enough to live in a home where he has to navigate his world at much a higher level.

What makes this property unique

Playground extra large with interactive unique giant mountain roller and circular slide for all ages. Playground sets on a multilevel shaded area of AstroTurf making it safe for all ages to enjoy.

Swim spa is able to be a great place to start your day with a brisk exercise routine or enjoy the bubbles relaxing as a family in the evening. Large enough for some to be swimming and others relaxing.

Pool is extra large with many areas to sit within pool which again is for all ages and swim level. Pool was built with safety in mind since it was utilized by a non swimming handicap child who required shallow safety no matter where in the pool he was.

Grounds are covered by trees throughout and incredible secluded from the world around including neighborhood.

There is a creek behind the house, creating a marsh: Caney Creek Springs with kayak enjoyment on property. ***NO SWIMMING in the marsh.

Home has large rooms with plenty of space to easily house many and not feel overcrowded. Rooms are decorated with unique themes.

Property often has painted buntings, golden finches, hummingbirds, kingfishers, wood ducks, and Canadian geese.

Nearby is Canton Trade Days, a few miles from Rose Horse Park, Lindale town center, Splash Kingdom Water Park, Tyler offers various attractions and museums, and a short drive to a grocery store in Van to stock your fridge to cook.

During the months October-April, If you would like the pool to be heated for your stay... We need a minimum 30-hour notice and payment must be received 30 hours before your stay begins via the platform you booked through. Due to the current market price of propane, the pool heating fee will be based on number of nights booked and charged as follows ($375 for first 2 nights, $75 for each additional night, with a max $600):

2-night stay: $375 total
3-night stay: $450 total
4-night stay: $525 total
