Our stay was okay, and comfy. The only problems we had was getting the bedroom to be the right temperature, and hitting my head on the entrance and in our bedroom. The pillows were a bit firm. We have MyPillows, so maybe we are a bit picky. One more thing, the driveway into the place as a bit bad at the beginning.
We needed somewhere to stay near Devils Fork State Park and this popped up! The host provided a free park pass as well! The houseboat was very clean, well stocked with necessities, including WiFi. 3 adults were comfortable lounging about the inside living room area, and outside was entertaining too!
The beached houseboat was a unique stay. Big enough for 3-4 people if you travel light. Incredibly close to Devil's Fork State Park and Keowee Toxaway. Restaurants in the area are few but good. Might plan on bringing food to prepare. Great experience!
I absolutely loved staying here! It was clean and well maintained and who wouldn't want to stay in a house boat! The neighborhood was quiet and the location is extremely convenient to Devil's Fork State Park/Lake Jocassee. The property managers even have a free state park pass for use while you are there. The AC in the boat is so cold! A definite perk when returning from hiking and kayaking!
My husband, myself, and our seven year old daughter stayed in this boathouse for a couple nights and we loved it! My daughter had so much fun pretending to drive the boat, and there was just enough space for us to feel like we weren't on top of each other. The outdoor space was perfect and large enough to lounge and drop all of our shoes and wet towels off before heading inside. The owner was so accommodating and reachable! It met all of our needs while being cute and quirky enough to live in my daughter's memory forever! Hope to stay again!
Kids had enjoyed the house boat but we kept hitting our head on the small door leading into the boat, the shower never really had hot water and the trash was never picked up the whole time we stayed so we used the neighbors trash cans to help prevent trash overflow on the ground but overall we liked staying here very convenient between the lakes and plenty of parking for boats.
If you don’t enjoy this place you’re just no fun. Such a neat idea that was executed great. Perfect spot for a lake weekend with friends. Brightly lit property with chill vibes. Slept 3 adults just fine. Plenty of room, large porch right off the front of boat to hangout and relax. Modern tv with all streaming services! Clean fridge. Covered grill area that was clean and ready to go. Spend your day at the lakes only 5 minutes from Jocassee and 10 min from Keowee. Plenty of room for boat parking. Would stay again!
So fun to stay in a boat! My husband and I stayed during Clemson Family Weekend. About a half hour from campus but a lovely place to rest after a busy few days.
This vacation rental was perfect for our family! The kids loved that we were in a boat house but could still have wifi and land.
Perfect location for what we wanted we come to Devil's fork every year! We booked this little gem last minute since we were already taking our son to Clemson Baseball Camp Sunday so we decided to just make a weekend out of it and bring our boat and enjoy the lake as well. Can't wait to come back next year and enjoy the place, Mary left us with a goodie bag and Chilled bottle of wine to enjoy with our stay. She was easily accessible to answer any of my questions.
