July 4th Week

We had a wonderful time staying this cottage. Everything was spotless when we checked in. The beds in both bedrooms were new and very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were recently updated. The washing machine and dryer were an added bonus. The owner, Kitty, answered all the questions we had and quickly responded to us when we reached out to her. We will definitely be back.

small but comfortable

The cottage was well located just a few minute walk down the path to the beach. It was small with a newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. The living room furniture took up a lot of space so it would be hard to be indoors for long periods of time with multiple children running around, but we were outdoors most of the time so it worked out fine. We had to bring our linens and towels which, since we drove, was ok, but would be harder for people not driving. We had a pleasant stay and would definitely return.

Wonderful cottage walking distance to beach!

We had a wonderful stay at this cute cottage in Truro! The cottage had everything we needed (inc washer/dryer, dishwasher and outdoor shower). The kitchen and bathroom had just been renovated and was beautiful. The ocean breeze kept the house cool most of the time and there is a little AC unit for the hot days. Kitty was wonderful to work with and made sure we had everything we needed for a fantastic family trip. Thank you!

This was our first time staying at Kitty’s cottage and it didn’t disappoint! We had a great time. The new kitchen was perfect. The actual living space in the cottage worked for our family of 4. It had everything that we needed. We like renting a place with beach access so the walk through the dunes was perfect. The beach felt private. It wasn’t crowded at all. Our daughters 11 and 13 had fun taking the shuttle into Province town by themselves. We liked taking the shuttle because we didn’t have to pay for parking. Overall we had a wonderful experience staying in Kitty’s cottage. Oh, most of the neighbors were owners and they were all very friendly.

Annual cape cod trip!

Perfect for family of 4! We have twins age 10 - bunk beds perfect! Kitchen is brand new! Owner had thought of everything. Outside shower was priceless for the kids - coming back from the beach. Our family stayed in the house across the way - we had an amazing time. Perfect location - close to ocean beaches, 5 min walk up a path to a quiet bay beach. Owner frequently checked in with us - thank you for amazing memories!

Wonderful stay brings back good memories!

We had stayed in the cottage before several years ago while the family was just me and my wife. We enjoyed the abundant offerings for a married couple. This year we came back to the same place with 2 young boys, and again enjoyed many wonderful things for a family vacation. The boys stayed in the 2-single bed bedroom, perfect for teens. The quiet nights and sea breeze have made a world of difference from our busy work life. Beach is a couple hundred yards away where we found shell fish and oysters to our dinner table. I brought a small drone to fly and shot some terrific video clips of us at the beach. I will see if I could upload a couple to share. During the week, we invited a few friends to come over as well. Good food, friends, laughs, and so many activities nearby...... Good week indeed.

Wonderful way to begin the summer!

My husband and I spent a wonderful week on Cape Cod a few weeks ago! We had a great experience every step of the way regarding the cottage rental. Kitty quickly responded to our inquiry and was available to answer any questions we had. She also offered suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. The cottage itself was charming! The view was classic Cape: dunes, beach grasses and roses! We immediately felt at home! The bay beach available to us was an easy walk through the dunes. We spent lots of time walking there at low tide collecting shells, as well as many of our days just relaxing! The cottage is located in a perfect place for us! We had the quiet of North Truro but were a short drive or shuttle ride away from Provincetown! There were many great restaurants there, as well as in North Truro! Besides the bay beach, there were several beautiful beaches a short car ride away! There were many things to do right in and around North Truro! We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent at the cottage and look forward to returning!

Wonderful, quiet, relaxing

My husband and I have been vacationing at cape cod for a number of years, and as our family has grown (we now have a young child), we have been looking for a place to vacation yearly that is quiet, kid friendly and welcoming. This cottage has all those things, plus some! This cottage is beautiful, clean, well maintained and comfortable. It is clear that the cottage is loved and taken care of. My 2 year old absolutely had a blast! The cottage is also well stocked with supplies that you may need. The other renters/owners were all very polite and welcoming. The owner, Kitty, was extremely helpful, always available for any questions or concerns. The convience of being able to communicate with her was very welcoming and made you feel at home. We look forward to being yearly renters!! We highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to relax, have a quiet getaway, or enjoy family time!

Great little cottage in a beautiful location

Our family visited the cottage last week for a joint-family vacation, meeting up with several other families staying in adjacent cottages. We had a fabulous visit, thanks in part to this great cottage: it's situated in a perfect spot, with a short walk through the sand to the beach and a nice front lawn for hanging out. We had all the amenities we needed; the washer/drier combo was key and the outdoor shower was fantastic. Very nice condition and great owner who was a pleasure to deal with. Already thinking about when we can get back there.

Cute, perfectly located cottage!

What a cute cottage! We were so pleased with the central location to the National Seashore, P'Town, Wellfleet, and of course, the Bay Beach. Mornings we often walked out the back door to the Bay Beach at low tide. Afternoons we visited local attractions (Truro Vineyards, Dolphin Fleet whale watching, CC National Seashore, shopping in P'town). Went to Herring Cove each evening for the sunsets. Convenient shuttle close to the cottage made getting places easy even without a car. Kitty was an excellent host and made this a stress-free experience. The setting seems especially good for young kids, though the wifi was a hit with our teenagers. Definitely will recommend this!

Family Vacation

We arrived 7/11/2015 and were pleasantly pleased by the curb appeal of the cottage - beautiful climbing roses on the front. The cottage was welcoming and had everything we needed - especially the washer and dryer as we have younger kids... Nice walk over the dunes to basically a private beach - beautiful sunsets - relaxing. We enjoyed the local cuisine - especially the Lighthouse in Wellfleet - great fried scallops/wings - no lines. Kitty was great to work with - we have already recommended the cottage to friends and we will return. You can't go wrong here! Good Luck...

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE

My wife and I just spent seven glorious days at the cottage. As soon as we opened the front door, we immediately felt right at home with our new surroundings. We had everything we needed, including a nicely equipped kitchen, washer & dryer, xfinity cable and WiFi, and a deck where we could kick back with our morning coffee. Directly behind the cottage is a winding, sandy path that leads to a beautiful beach with sweeping, panoramic views of Provincetown. We treasured the peaceful, serene vibe of Truro and the cottage. The natural beauty of the area made us feel like we were living inside a giant watercolor painting. Our review wouldn't be complete without offering our thanks and appreciation to Kitty, who helped us create the perfect vacation.

Perfect spot for families with little kids ...

Spent a week at this wonderful cottage with my husband and two boys (3 and 5 yrs). After long days at the beach during low tide, jumping the shallow, warm surf and looking for creatures (crabs, clams, snails and lobster), we'd walk up the dune, rinse off in the outdoor shower and have lobster or grill on the back deck as the sun set. The kids would often retire to the spacious front lawn and play with another child staying in a neighboring cottage. Indoors, the cottage is clean and neat. It has a well stocked kitchen, board games and books and flat screen TV for the occasional rainy day (or World Cup Game). Nights were quiet and we slept well. We spent most of the time at our beach but also ventured to Race Point Beach and biked on the Cape Cod Trail from North Eastham to Wellfleet. Between Stop N Shop and prepared food stores such as Angels Foods and East End Market, we ate well without having to go out to dinner nightly. Kitty was so helpful and thoughtful in the planning of our trip and continued to be during our stay. Thanks to her and the cottage, we felt like we had our own piece of the cape this summer.

Nice Stay on the "Old Cape"

My wife and I spent a beautiful week at this cottage in North Truro in mid-September 2013. We are pushing 70, actually galloping towards it, and we always travel independently. The weather was marvelous, all blue sky and warm temperatures for seven days. My wife was enrolled in an art course in nearby Truro, and I am a walker who found ample opportunities to engage in walkabout. The cottage sits on the bay side, connected to the bay beach by a sand path of about a hundred yards length through the dunes. From the cottage’s back deck we could watch the great expanse of bay unfold into Provincetown. Most days I walked along the beach into town, last leg on Commercial Street. Of course the National Seashore also offers many beach opportunities for walking and swimming on the ocean side; most of these beaches were no more than a ten minute drive away. We thought the cottage, a bit of the “old Cape,” was excellent. The Cottage offers two bedrooms (sleeps four), a good bath (shower only), comfortable living room, plenty of blankets, space heaters, and a fully equipped kitchen, including stove, microwave, coffee maker, plenty of pots and dishes, and a washer/dryer. Internet service and cable tv were excellent. Also, the area around the cottage was very quiet -- we never heard a sound at night. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the back deck with coffee in the morning and on the evening. Arrangements with the owner were straight forward, friendly, professional, and we could not have enjoyed our stay more.

Fabulous Stay

My two daughters (ages 14 and 9) and I found this cottage to be perfect for our week at the Cape. Having spent summers in Truro most of my life, I had high expectations and this cottage met every one. The interior, layout, and location are great. It is just minutes to several ocean beaches (less than five to the closest); just a couple blocks from Provincetown/shops/restaurants/tower; and a quick drive to a grocery store, fish market, and more. Yet even with all that, it is remarkably quiet. Best of all, I could enjoy my morning coffee on a short walk through the sand to the beautiful bay beach! The bay beach and views are terrific. If you are a runner, you can go for miles on the beach, or on Route 6A, just steps away. My daughters had no trouble making themselves at home and proclaimed me the Best Picker of Vacation Places to Stay. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. The owner was friendly and attentive, and checked in to make sure we arrived ok and to answer any questions. My girls loved the collection of books to read, and the out door shower (there is of course a full bath inside, too). We can't wait to go back.

De belles vacances à North Truro

We had a great time at this nice, quiet and very well located cottage: lots of great ocean beaches not too far, direct access to the beach on the bay side and not too far from Provincetown's restaurants and shops. The cottage has all that is needed to cook and have nice dinner on a charming patio. The owner was very kind and helpful before, during and after our stay.

Our Cape Cod Vacation

We have just come back from Truro and could not have been happier with our cottage. It fit our family well, my husband and I and our children ages 1 & 2. The best part of the vacation is the fact that there were many other families staying in these cottages. We played, made smores and took trips to watch the sunset together...my 2 year old keeps asking when we are going back to "her beach house". The owner is very accomodating and easy to get in touch with, always quick to answer any question I had. It was great to walk to the beach and collect rocks, hunt for hermit crabs and build sand castles. The cottage is super close to P-Town (.2 miles to be exact) and the shuttle comes almost to the front door! We also went to Race Point which is a great beach ( National Seashore) and also only a 15 minute drive. Be sure to check out summer concerts on the Truro Green as well as Puma Park for those of you with young kids. We had a great time!! Thank you Kitty!

Our annual stay in June

My husband, two boys, and I stay at this cottage every year in June. We love it. The boys enjoy playing out front on the lawn, and walking down to play on the beach right behind the cottage. It's nice to drive to the beautiful local beaches, but also to enjoy your own private beach when you are back at the cottage. The neighbors are very friendly and my kids enjoy playing with the other children who live there and come down on weekends. The cottage has everything we need including washer & dryer, and nice grill and patio out back. I love the view of the ocean from the kitchen window, and sitting on the adirondack chairs outside, looking out at the beach grass and ocean bay view.

Cozy Cottage and Beautiful Spot

After years of being away from the Cape we were lucky to chance upon this beautiful spot and very cozy cottage. Furnished in welcoming blues and yellows we felt at home the moment we wallked in the door. Private, quiet and yet so close to romantic walks on the beach and Ptown. Very clean and accomodating, love the internet access. Grilling outside and eating on the deck as the sun goes down, truly a wonderful time to relax and enjoy doing nothing. Owner is very generous and flexible. We can't wait to visit again. Even a rainy day doesn't dampen the joy of staying on the Cape.

Our home away from home!!

We have been coming here for several years now since our children were babies and it feels like home to us! The cottage is cozy with ocean breezes and glorious views of the town across the bay. Close to everything the Cape has to offer but in a setting that is relatively quiet and more private than what is offered elsewhere. What attracted us here in the first place is the HUGE grass area. Our kids have spent many hours playing games and flying kites on the lawn! Steps away from Cape Cod Bay, this cottage offers a fantastic location! We have always had a great time here!

The owners live in the Boston area. Since we love and use the cottage regularly, we maintain it well.

Why they chose this property

We wanted our kids to experience and grow to love the beauty and history of Cape Cod..the beaches, sunsets, bike trails, but we wanted to be close to Provincetown.

What makes this property unique

Short walk thru low dunes to bay beach; quiet beach experience, but close to the "buzz" of Provincetown. You can easily catch a shuttle to Provincetown and ocean beaches.
