My folks' old place just south of Custer, an old converted pole barn set on five wooded acres with lots of parking and peace and quiet. Easy access, garage parking, a big front porch for sitting, sipping, and relaxing and for watching the deer and turkeys and cottontails. Sleeps up to 8, dog friendly. Pet sitting may be available this season. Owner on premises this season for improvements, but not in your way! High speed fiber optic internet and DirectTV, room AC units, full kitchen, commercial W/D, handicap accessible including main bathroom and master bedroom. Minutes to Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore, blocks from Mickelson Trail.
One mile to restaurants, shopping and gifts, pharmacy, grocery store, service stations. Trail rides, fishing, boating, hiking, helicopter rides, and adventure vehicle rentals and bicycles close by. Grandma's House feels rural, but is located central to most Black Hills attractions and parks.

Anniversary weekend

This was a wonderful peaceful and well located for relaxation or adventure. Custer was just down the road but this place felt like it was our own oasis. Deer turkey and rabbits running through the yard. Peaceful evening where you can see the stars sitting on the covered front porch in the rocking chairs. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Fun at Grandma's house

Grandma’s House

Beautiful, comfortable house. Not having a bathroom upstairs was not the best, but we made it. Vicki was great to work with! The fresh eggs were greatly appreciated!

Exceeded Expectations!!

Grandma's House was the perfect place for us to stay during the Buffalo Round Up. It was close to town so we could easily go into Custer for whatever we may need and to check out the local shops. Very relaxing to sit on the patio and just enjoy the setting.

Spacious Custer house

The house was welcoming and clean with all of the amenities we needed. Front porch was a perfect place to rest and relax, and we saw wild turkeys, deer and bunnies in the yard! Location was great, very close to Custer and just a short drive to Custer State Park. Highly recommended, especially for those traveling with dogs

Loved it

Grandma's House in the woods was perfect place for us. Beautiful views quiet area in the Black Hills only a mile out of Custer. The property is very well kept , everything works and even supplied farm fresh eggs which we gobbled up. The host is a wonderful Grandma who made sure our stay was perfect with perfect communication. If you want a spacious house in the woods with very comfortable beds with a great kitchen 2 full baths, and a wonderful host look no further, oh yes the price was perfect too. Almost forgot the location is central to all the perfect Black Hills. Come stay at Grandma’s house!

Vacation

The house is older but very clean and comfortable. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs with two bathrooms, currently, downstairs. Vicki was a wonderful host and also provided fresh eggs for us during our stay. This home is very close to Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial and the 1880s train, which is in Hill City. We had a wonderful time staying here.

Family trrip to Black Hills

Very nice place that fit our needs wonderfully. Plenty of space and enabled us to take motorcycles and bicycles. We enjoyed area with ease due to location. Vicki on-site and was great, provided eggs which was a nice touch!!

Home away from home

We wish we could have had more time to sit on the porch. The beds are so comfortable and anything we needed was available. Vicki kept in contact before and during our stay. We would stay again!

Comfortable place to stay

It was nice to have place to relax after a full days of exploring area. The property owner was kind and very easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed our time in Custer.

Stunning, tranquil place in Custer

Excellent and well kept place. We will definitely come here again in the future. We came during the Sturgis rally and we would have not been that relaxed if we had stayed in a hotel. Staying at Grandma’s gave us some nice tranquil environment while still being close to all the amenities and the attractions that we wanted to see.

Grandma’s House was perfect for us!

We really enjoyed our stay! It was nice to be away from all the crowds, but close enough to everything we wanted to do. We enjoyed the quiet of the country feel and being able to all be together. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room!

This was the best place for the last part of our family vacation! The location was perfect, the house was clean, organized & well stocked. Sitting on the front porch and enjoying the serene area was a special treat! Close to town & attractions, easy drive & beautiful location. Great trip to Custer!

We loved our stay at Grandma’s House in the Woods! The property was great for our family. We could spread out and relax after exploring the area. It was a great “home base” for day trips throughout the Black Hills. Property was well appointed with lots of little details to make our trip fun and easy. We loved having a washing machine and a fully stocked kitchen. Thanks for a great stay!

Grandmas house in the woods.

Everything was very smooth from check in to leaving. Any questions were answered quickly. Everything we needed was there and everything was clean. The property location made it quick and easy to get to town or anywhere in the Black Hills.

Relaxing and quiet

Easy commutes to Custer, Crazy Horse Memorial, Mount Rushmore and all the other wonderful sites around and near Custer. We loved being out of town, but still close. We loved sitting outside enjoying the peace and quiet. Appreciate the pet friendly. We walked the property numerous times. Will highly recommend to family and friends. Would most definitely stay again, my first choice.
