Relax with friends and family at this peaceful place to stay. Located just minutes from beautiful Lake Guntersville, where you will enjoy quaint shops, fishing, boating (public launch just 1.2 miles away), walking trails, kayaking, local dining, and the beautiful City Harbor, just to name a few.
Enjoy this lovely home that includes one queen bed along with a queen futon. Linens and two towels per person are provided. There is a front and back porch for your enjoyment as well as a charcoal grill and fire pit. There is a full stove, microwave oven, and kitchen necessities for you to cook up your fresh catch.
There is ample parking for up to four cars. You’ll pull into the second driveway on the right ( Duffy Cabin) .

Perfect for us!

This cottage was perfect for us and our Golden Retriever. We were able to communicate with the owners quickly and they were quite helpful before and during our stay. The location is right outside of downtown Guntersville, so we were able to get to multiple sites on the lake, to state parks, and other sites with ease. Many places that allow pets look and smell as if they do, but that is definitely not the case with this property. It was so clean, and it smelled so fresh. The owners have truly thought of everything. The towels are plentiful and fluffy, the sheets are a nice thread count, the bed is comfortable, the cottage is beautifully decorated, and the kitchen is well-equipped. We really enjoyed the porch. It was a nice place to start and end our days. We were unable to use the firepit due to lack of rain and burning restrictions. It is a nice little area with two chairs, plenty of firewood, and everything you need to start a fire. There is also a nice kettle grill on the little back porch. Again, you provide your entree and your charcoal, and everything else is there for you including a very nice grill implement set in the kitchen. The owners truly have the gift of hospitality! The only thing I would advise travelers to be aware of is that the adjacent rental property, a three-bedroom house, is quite close. It was not an issue for us, but if both properties are full, it would be best if tenants are compatible. We would love to stay here again.

The property is just as it is listed. It was perfect for my husband and I for two short nights. The place was clean. Only regret is not being able to stay in the area longer.

Perfectly perfect

There is absolutely nothing negative that i can say about this beautiful property! Diane and Gene were amazing hosts, left us a cute little welcome package. We are already planning on coming back! The hosts were quick to respond to me with any question that i had. We had the best vacation!!

Loved this cute cottage cabin

The host went above and beyond with a cute custom message and welcome gift. The cabin was probably the cleanest I’ve ever had at a self rental. The cute cabin was the perfect weekend escape. Loved sitting on the outdoor deck. The host was very responsive and helpful and just an absolute delight. Also 5 minutes from downtown Guntersville was just perfect. Great place, great people. Would go here again in a heartbeat.

Fun Relaxing Trip to Celebrate Our Upcoming 35th Wedding Anniversary

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and perfect for us and our fur baby. It had everything we needed and the quality of kitchen ware was awesome for our cooking needs. The location was perfect! We will be back and hope to meet the owners to extend our appreciation for the beautiful place they have created for others to make memories.

We loved this property. We would stay again.

Thank you for the wonderful stay! Every thing was sparkling clean, it was well stocked in the kitchen and bath. Great location, still giving the feel seclusion. The owners had good communication, and we were able to contact quickly! Our friends were happy and impressed also!

Wonderful place

Let me start by saying this is a beautiful place to stay. My dog and I took a break from life and decided to try this wonderful little place out. First thing you will notice when you walk in is the cleanliness and fresh smell. Very very clean, next thing you notice is the back deck my friends and I sat there all night enjoying the evening. The fire pit was awesome as well, very nicely built. The owners even leave you with a binder with a list of local attractions, local eatery’s and phone numbers for authorities. The owners decorated the house very modern with nice fixtures and everything was provided as promised. The only issue that has come up would be about my dog, apparently she damaged the house without me noticing. After some contact back and forth with the owner I received a bill for 250.00 in damage. I would suggest if you stay you check the entire house and take pictures of everything. I don’t want anyone to get a bill for something your animal or child didn’t do. Still a fantastic place to stay close to everything!!
