Our cabin was just what we were looking for….not real fancy and not just basic. It was pushed back within the compound and had great privacy. We spent a lot of time on the screened in front porch. The cabin had more than adequate room for the two of us. Everything was well appointed…kitchen appliances, towels and soaps, extra blankets and more. The only problem we had was the TV connection. Angel on duty that night set up a makeshift and Neal came the next day and got it all working. We had a wonderful time.
My wife and family had a nice stay at the cabin. Staff was very kind and accommodating. Would recommend and would consider booking again.

About the host
Hosted by Mandi Lipscomb
My great-grandfather started "Camp Waltonia" in 1921 as a primitive fishing camp. Now, 100 years later, 16 cabins and a beautiful riverfront. I'm the 4th generation manager/owner of Waltonia on the River. I grew up here and I love seeing guests enjoy the property. It's a special place!
Why they chose this property
This is a classic Hill Country retreat on 10 acres with 16 individual cabins. A shared recreational area in the center of the property, with ping pong, corn hole, washers pit, playground, volleyball and a basketball hoop. 600 feet of private riverfront access and NO crossing a busy highway to get your feet in the river! A great place to "unplug & recharge"! In the off-season, this is a great location for your "base camp", stay here and enjoy area state parks (Guadalupe, Enchanted Rock, Lost Maples, Garner).
What makes this property unique
Enjoy the stars at night, and watching the sunrise and sunset over the Guadalupe River. Outside fun for the entire day. A great play to get away from the city and enjoy some quiet river time.
