The property was lovely-a close walk to Downtown Harbor Springs and a close drive to other beaches and cities. The house was very clean, comfortable and accommodating. We had a great time and look forward to another visit!
The house was clean, well, equipped, and very comfortable. We loved being able to easily walk around town, around the Harbor and up to Bluff Road. Very convenient location.
Comfortable and well stocked home for 5 ladies reuniting. Everything worked without flaw and we cooked almost all meals in a fantastic kitchen. Cute and spacious. Well located to all we wanted to see in this part of Michigan. Beautiful trip.
Wonderful stay at the cottage, with my family of five. Great location, everything in Harbor Springs is walkable. Cottage was very clean and comfortable.
We had a great time at this cottage - close to everything and beautifully decorated. Our older teenagers loved the space and it was nice to walk/park near restaurants and shops - plus, we were 15 minutes from Boyne and Nubs. Definitely staying there again.
We loved our stay at the Bones Cottage. The house was so well appointed and equipped making our stay very comfortable. We loved the porch and the location can’t be beat!
We hope to return soon!
House was beautiful and clean. We loved the location which was walking distance to beach, dining and downtown shops. We can’t wait to come back again next summer!
This was an amazing house for a college friends reunion! There was plenty of space and the house was very clean with everything we needed. The best part was the location. We were able to walk to town several times a day easily. Definitely recommend this home!
We had a wonderful stay at The Bones Cottage. The house was clean, well stocked, and provided more than enough space for our family of five. The location is probably the best situated house in Harbor Springs - a block up from Main Street and near all the businesses we wanted to try. The host was kind, responsive, and more than willing to help. We had a great vacation and can’t wait to come back!
This house is located right in town (1 minute walk to lots of stuff!) and has everything! We enjoyed the fire pit, front porch, and well-appointed rooms. The hose has thought of everything, and everything is nice. Power strips on both sides of the bed, well-equipped kitchen, fluffy towels, nice lawn chairs. House was super clean, too! We really enjoyed our stay.
Great location, walking distance to all of Harbor Springs. Beautiful home, with all the amenities one would need. Was not aware that the one bathroom upstairs is located in one of the bedrooms - not ideal but ok for us as it was all family. The owner was terrific with communication and response. Would definitely rent again.
The Bones Cottage was the perfect location for our family to stay! We were in town in May for a memorial service. Several extended family members also rented houses in town, so it was very convenient to be able to walk to see each another and meet in town for dinner. The cottage itself is lovely, very comfortable and well appointed. Communication with Elizabeth was topnotch- she was easy to reach, thorough and very helpful.
Beautiful and functional home in excellent location
Adorable vacation house which suited our group of 4 adults (2 couples) and 2 teens well. The kitchen is well-stocked. Nice layout with one bathroom downstairs and one upstairs. Minor suboptimal location of upstairs bathroom within the smaller bedroom that has 2 twin beds rather than the larger bedroom with king bed. Outstanding proximity to downtown. Would not hesitate to rent next time we are in town. Easy communication with property owner. Instructions provided before arrival were clear and did not need to contact owner during stay.
The house is very nice and roomy. It was a cold and windy weekend on President’s weekend. So that said the bathroom on the main floor was very cold which has no heat in it. The bedroom closet, on the main floor, had cold air coming out of it too. This made the floor cold. The door coming into the dining area from a enclosed front entrance closes but doesn’t latch properly. Elizabeth was very nice to work with though.
This is a great cottage! We are frequent visitors to Harbor Springs and this is a cottage we will be happy to rent again! The host is responsive and friendly, check in could not have been any easier. The decor is perfect for a Northern Michigan cottage and it's clean, modern, and comfortable. We appreciated how well appointed the cottage was, including bikes, beach chairs, beach towels and a front porch with comfy furniture where we spent many afternoons reading and watching the people passing by. We were particularly happy with the book selection at the house, truly something for everyone in our party. The house is just a block off Main Street and we loved how easy it was to walk to restaurants, bars, Yummies and Tom's Mom's. The house is in a section that is not completely residential so you will see/hear traffic from some businesses including the post office that has a 6:00 am daily truck delivery. But it's Harbor Springs, a small town with minimal traffic and church bells the ring every morning at 6:00 am. Honestly, no one in our party was in the least bothered by any of the business traffic and all agreed that we would love to rent the cottage again.
We enjoyed staying at the property with our crew for our annual ski trip. The property is nice, updated, and in a great location. However, the house does not have central heat, rather it has wall heaters in some of the rooms. The bedroom I slept in did not have a wall unit just a small space heater provided by the owners. This made it difficult to regulate the heat and because we didn’t feel comfortable leaving a space heater on all day while we are gone, it was very cold in our bedroom (55 degrees) when we came home from a day of skiing. The dining area does not have a wall heater so that room stayed very chilly, and although there is one wall unit in the kitchen, it does not keep the entire kitchen warm. The living room does have a fireplace, which heats up that room very nicely, but the heat does not spread throughout the house. Overall a lovely place that I would return to, but only in warmer weather.
