Let the sound of the gently soothing waterfall into the pond send you off to sleep... An easy 12 minute drive to the river or 15 minutes to the lake! 45 minutes to the slopes. Take your pick. Newly renovated and ready for your enjoyment! Air conditioning. Xfinity high speed internet is yours to stream, work and enjoy after a day of play.

Very enjoyable

Our stay was very comfortable, very close to our son. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need including many extras. I cooked a turkey and sides and had no problem at all. Thank you Emily for letting us use your adorable home!

My brother and I came to visit his son who lives in Grass Valley. The Sage Cottage was perfect for our visit. The house was awesome, clean and had everything we needed! Adorable furnishings and the beds were comfy. Host was fabulous in answering any questions we had and the cottage location was a perfect location . We had some fabulous meals in Grass Valley and in nearby towns!! Awesome visit and superior accommodations!!

Cute, Quiet, Private

If you’re looking for a getaway that is relaxing, private and quiet, then the Sage House is for you. Grass Valley is a nice little town with lots of great shopping experiences and good dining. Or, do what we did. Cook at home! Best part of the whole stay was the water fall in the back. We’re coming back!

Wonderful and relaxing stay

This cozy house has everything! Great location, comfy beds, beautiful setting. We really enjoyed the front porch and the backyard star gazing. The house has everything you need and the adventure shed is set up for whatever you might need to go to the lake or river. Emily, the host is organized and responsive. We would definitely go back!

Serene sleep

Everything in this special Sage house is where you expect it to be. 5 minutes after arriving it feels like home. Well “like home” after the house cleaners have done their magic. We cooked our breakfasts and assembled food to take to the concert meadow. Three retired campers were very comfortable and happy to still be able to enjoy the Strawberry Way. We hope to come back next year!

Great cozy bungalow

Had a great stay here and the property is amazing. It is close to town and was very clean and comfortable. I loved being near the park. It was great to get up and be able to go for a walk outside the backyard.

So comfy and relaxing

The Sage House is a perfect retreat from ciaos. To enjoy a comfortable home in the warmth of Grass Valley, is a great way to unwind. Beautifully decorated with every detail thought out. Cozy bed linens and plush towels were my favorite. I wish I stayed longer with a book to read in the yard. Next time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Sage House. So charming and had everything we needed. Loved all your natural products, Keurig coffee machine, eclectic decor, comfy beds and walking the trail just out your backyard. Perfect for our group of three. I hope to stay here again the next time I'm in Grass Valley.

sweet spot

I had a lovely stay at the Sage house. It is on a quiet street that backs up to a wooded area with trails so I walked everyday. The house is comfy with a fully equipped kitchen that I enjoyed cooking and baking in. I look forward to staying there my next visit to Grass Valley!

Awesome stay at Sage House

The Sage House was everything described and more. It was clean, cozy, easy to access all the amenities, close to town and trails, and beautiful on the inside and out. Emily was such a great host and so easy to communicate with. Special touches inside included games, extra linens and towels, items for children, a very warm fireplace, and holiday decor. I can’t more strongly recommend this place to others and would 100% rebook this place when we return to Grass Valley.

Lovely Cottage Style Stay

Very clean, and comfortable stay. Beds were comfortable and cozy with plenty of blankets. Super cute kitchen with everything you need. The trails nearby were perfect! What a beautiful little house and surroundings. The host was very friendly and quick to respond to our questions. We would stay here again! Highly recommend.

Cute and Clean Getaway

Stayed here with a four family of four. Very nicely appointed- the kitchen is stocked with all the needed dishes, plenty of towels and so on. The decor was uncluttered and calm. They clean with natural cleansers which we really appreciate. We enjoyed walking out the back gate through the local park. Amazing fall colors throughout the area.

Grass Valley 2023

We had a wonderful stay at the Sage house. We were very impressed with the location, the chemical free home, and the yard. It was so nice to step into a home that didn't smell like toxic laundry detergent. I loved the healthier choices that they use for kitchen and bathroom supplies. The yard was amazing, the water fountain, fruit trees, and herbs were awesome. We would stay there again if we have the chance. Loved it!

I highly recommend this gorgeous home. What a beautiful property! Clean, comfortable, homey yet chic. We grilled on the patio and enjoyed meals in the spacious backyard, amid the flowers, butterflies (and quail!), and gurgling koi pond. A very pleasant walk out the back gate through the park into adorable downtown Grass Valley. The neighborhood was quiet and tranquil. Thank you, Emily, for being an amazing and responsive host. This house is truly a gem. :)

Great location, charming house

Our family really enjoyed our stay in Grass Valley. The house was very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. The backyard was lovely and a great place to relax. The proximity to downtown worked out well. The gateway from the backyard to the park was a definite bonus that our family enjoyed.

Just Perfect

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed The Sage House. The decor was just darling…a blend of bohemian and mid century. The cleanliness was impeccable and the beds and pillows and linens were upscale and so comfortable. Emily has a wonderful property and was very accessible. Great location close to downtown Grass Valley and Condon Park

Had a great, relaxing stay at the Sage House! Everything was as advertised. Very clean, well appointed, and private. Especially enjoyed the hammock and sounds of the pond/fountain in the backyard.

Charming and relaxing cottage

I was in town for a music festival at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, and this was a great place to stay for that. A quick drive but a nice escape from crowds and sun. We really liked having the park outside the backyard gate, which was perfect for walks and has a nice disc golf course. (And there are some discs in the shed to use!) The house was perfect for our family of 3 for the days we were in town.

This property was just too sweet to add to our rental portfolio... We decided to make this into a vacation rental for the world to come and enjoy. The gardens are so lovely and the location is second to none. Quiet neighborhood and the trail in the backyard is such an amazing amenity. This property is not lived in and only used and loved as a short term rental. Sprawl out and enjoy!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Walking trail to town/parks/fairground right out of the rear gate! Dead end road is very quiet and private. High speed internet is yours to enjoy. An adventure shed in the rear yard can store your gear, bikes, fishing equipment, etc.
