Great Place and Great Views

It was a very nice place to enjoy the weekend. The views are fantastic and the place is very cozy. The semi trucks are a little loud coming down the mountain at night but that's just about anywhere you stay close to a main road. Would recommend to anyone and will most likely be coming back in the future.

Mountain Waterfall Paradise

We loved our Thanksgiving stay, at this beautiful mountain, and view of the waterfall site. The property was super clean, well stocked and had everything you would need for a fantastic "mountain getaway". We will return to this gorgous site and area, again!

Beautiful Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Barrow's Den. It was a very relaxing staff. Condo was great and beautifully decorated. View of waterfall was awesome. We woll definitely stay again.

Nice Mini Vacation

We stayed here for four days and had an amazing time. The check-in process is was easy and the property was clean. We fell asleep each night listening to the sound of the waterfall! Waking up each morning and seeing the sunrise was incredible! Everything was provided including: spices for cooking, extra bed linen, and towels. There were only two drawbacks: 1. The bed frame was loose so it squeaked every time we moved in the bed. 2. The Keurig only uses K-cups. If you are bringing coffee do not bring ground coffee beans, only K-cups. Other than that, the stay was amazing!!

Mountain Darkness

So all was going well. Then no power no water no cell service ?? Who would have thought ? Leave the coast and get hit with storm in the mountains. ONE THING in todays world Vrbo have no local news outlet? With streaming all national - no land lines - thanks to the owners of our cabin prepared us decently!

Amazing stay!

The property and view lived up to the hype! Sitting on the balcony every morning and watching the sun rise and listening amd seeing the waterfall made for a perfect weekend! Would definitely stay there again!

Lake Activities?

This isn’t really related to the property per se, but we believed because it was located at Lake Toxaway, that we would have access to the lake. We learned right when we got there that there was no public access, so we could not go kayaking (one of the things we intended to do. Maybe just a mention about that would be useful. Otherwise, great!

Cozy Mountain Oasis

Property was charming, extremely clean, and well stocked for cooking/laundering and general needs. Manager was beyond helpful and supportive throughout stay, patiently addressing our questions and offering information. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at “Barrow’s Den” during our “chasing waterfalls”‘adventures. We highly recommend this property and would love to visit again!

The View!!

I have stayed at many rentals but the view at this property was definitely one of my favorite. Very clean and well kept unit. Close to several very good restaurants in Lake Toxaway. And of course great hiking!

Wow!

This location is incredible! There's a large deck that looks directly out onto a big waterfall. And if that wasn't enough, there are several bird feeding stations, so you can watch the birds. The bedroom has large windows looking towards the deck, so you can lie in bed and watch the birds & clouds. The deck faces east, so you can watch the sunrise. I walked down to the base of the waterfall twice. It was lovely. A shout out to Grand Olde Station restaurant. It was very nice inside, very clean, and the food and cocktails were great! I had the chef's pasta of the day, and it was amazing. It tasted like homemade fettuccine, and I've been told that sauce was made out of pureed zucchini and squash. That was topped with a blackened sea bass filet. There is a Mexican food restaurant at the corner of the property that has a deck looking out on the waterfall. Their food was great! We also hiked rainbow falls, it was a very difficult hike. We drove up to Sliding Rock and Moore's Cove fall. That was a lot of fun. However, the water is so cold at Sliding Rock, that I was scared my heart failed me, even though there were little kids sliding down the rock with no problem. So be warned! However, there are lifeguards and it was very beautiful and fun watching the people slide. If you're a coffee addict like I am, be sure to bring extra K-Cups for yourself. The whole stay was wonderful!

Peaceful Paradise

Thanks for sharing your home with us. The view from the porch was absolutely beautiful! We really enjoyed sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs listening to the waterfall…most peaceful vacation we’ve ever had. Your home was so cute and cozy. Everything was so neat and tidy. Beautiful birthday weekend

This is our second time staying at toxaway falls, and our first in this condo, and everything was perfect from start to finish. My husband and I spent the weekend here without our kids to celebrate my 40th birthday, and Michelle had beautiful fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, and a card on the table when I walked in. It was such a special touch. The view was spectacular, and the home was spotless and so cozy, and well furnished. I wish we could have stayed the whole week. We visited several waterfalls near by, and even went out to Lake Jocassee, but loved our cozy evenings just relaxing in this special place and staring at the falls. Hope to come back again!

Barrow’s Den

I saw the picture of the waterfall and that sold me, but truthfully it was one of the most relaxing stays with the most beautiful view of Toxaway falls you can imagine. I would highly recommend staying here for a relaxing inspiring stay. I wrote a new song while I stayed there…yes…it’s that inspiring.

The accomodations far exceded our expectations. The unit was imaculate. We actually loved the waterfall so much that we didn't want to leave the condo. Michelle, the property manager, was very responsive to some new tv adjustments. We will go back again and again!

Amazing waterfall haven!

Absolutely wonderful property with beautiful view and sounds of waterfall and nature. We loved staying in this peaceful abode and with easy access to Cashiers, Sapphire, Lake Toxaway, and so many nature adventures. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Beautiful stay!

We loved our stay- the view was incredible, the condo was clean, comfortable and cozy. After a long drive, We enjoyed the short walk to the delicious Mexican restaurant for dinner, and getting to see the beautiful sunrise from the porch the next morning. The short hike down to the waterfall base is another perk! Recommend taking a picnic or book down to just sit at your own private waterfall for an afternoon! We went to Gorges State Park for more adventure and explored downtown Brevard for dinner. The condo is on the 2nd floor which is great for not having to carry luggage up or down; and it’s still an incredible view! We appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine for our anniversary, the K cups for the Keurig and the extra comfy blankets on the living room rocking/recliners. It’s the little things that make a stay so comfortable!

Perfect getaway

My wife and I stayed here for a getaway weekend. The condo is as advertised; very well equipped, beautiful, clean and an absolutely gorgeous view. We even arrived to find a card and a bottle of wine for us as we were celebrating our anniversary...very nice touch and much appreciated. Will definitely stay again!

I have an extremely large family on both of my parents' sides, have two grown sons, and have three of the most loving, generous, and beautiful grandchildren a Mimi could thank God for. I love the mountains, the mystics of the waterfalls, the trails and the camping experiences of the wild. I love to read, swim, picnic, horseback ride, and of course, being from here, I love the ocean and anything salt water. The Lord definitely made sure I was of multi-interest and adventurous. Why they chose this property

I love the beauty & serenity found here and the view of the endless mountains - the smell of the fresh air, coziness you feel, and watching the waterfall just outside the back door is a thrill. The excitement of various animals that show up from time to time on our deck is amusing. A restaurant is just up the hill when I want to take a night off & chill out. The 2 towns close by are really excellent to visit & has lots to offer. There is much to do here wither you're an outdoor person or not. I like trail hiking & my husband likes golf and we both like sight seeing these parts of the mountains. It’s hard to tear ourselves away from the condo because it’s so peaceful & relaxing. I’m sad to part when it's time to go home but it gives me something to look forward to when we return to the "Barrow's Den in the Smokies."
