Peaceful Rustic Beach Lodge Hidden Half a Mile to the Ocean!

Built in the 1970s, this home has been refurbished to reflect a vintage cabin/lodge with all the modern conveniences of the 2020s.

Each of the two bedrooms houses a queen bed with organic cotton sheets and light quilts for the ultimate comfort.

Each of the bathrooms contain a heater for post-shower warmth on a cool day.

Look out any of the windows and see nature! Trees surround this property on all sides and the landscaping has been kept as natural as possible to truly feel like you’re tucked back in the woods, yet you’re sooooo close to the beach!

The kitchen has been fully renovated and redesigned to open the entire common area up to entertain the whole family, whether you’re streaming movies, whipping up an eclectic meal in the fully stocked kitchen, or playing board games around the original wood & leather kitchen table, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in this beautiful cedar home.

Ride in style around our beach streets with a golf cart (available for rent), and take Fido for a walk through the safe and quiet residential neighborhood. This home is right around the corner from Sugar Life Ice Cream and Candy Shop, just a half mile walk or golf cart ride to the closest public beach access, and just over a mile to Food Lion, the closest grocery store.

The upper level of this home and right side of the driveway is yours for the duration of your stay. No more than 2 vehicles permitted per reservation. Please understand this home is a duplex and the bottom unit is a separate rental. You must climb stairs to access your portion of the home. Guests will not cross paths, as each has their own private entrance and assigned parking area.

We are a dog-friendly home! Pets can enjoy the vacation with you, for an additional pet fee of $175 for up to two dogs with a combined weight of 125lbs or less. Pet owners are required to leash their dogs throughout the neighborhood and pick up pet poo in the yard or on your walks. Please declare the breed, weight and age of your fur baby(ies) with your initial inquiry. There are exterior security cameras- any pets seen “sneaking in” without prior approval will result in an additional $100 fine.

No smoking on the porch or inside the home, no exceptions! We host groups who may have sensitivities to smoke (both secondhand and thirdhand), so anyone who needs to smoke must do so at least 25 ft away from the home, and dispose of cigarette butts appropriately. Litterbugs will be fined $250 for negligence and creating a health hazard on our property.

Highly desired Pine Acres is a family-friendly, safe, and residential neighborhood. We host high quality people who will respect our property and our neighbors. Guests repeatedly causing disturbances or disrupting our neighbors safety and peace will be asked to vacate the property immediately. There is a police officer who lives across the street- complaints from our neighbors will not be tolerated. This is NOT a party house. We hope to host families, quiet couples or mature groups of friends. No groups under 25 years old permitted, no exceptions. Please check out some of our other rentals if you’re a group of friends who don’t meet the minimum age requirement- this home is strictly meant for mature, responsible and respectful families & groups. Reservation holder must have valid credit card on file with VRBO for incidentals.

Rent a golf cart during your stay- why not, you’re on vacation :) We provide one 4-seater golf cart on the property for ultimate convenience. No need to reserve off-site rentals, simply show up and enjoy! Golf cart rentals are available for $70/day or $300/week. Please let us know in your inquiry whether a cart rental is of interest to you.

This is not a party house, we do not allow underage drinking, drug use or smoking inside the unit. Our goal as vacation rental hosts is to approve guests who want to relax with family and/or friends without causing disruption within the community or among neighboring units. By avoiding “party groups” we are able to host future guests who can feel confident that we have taken the proper steps to ensure a clean and hospitable environment.

Please remove shoes and rinse sand from your feet prior to entering the unit- any “extra cleaning” to eliminate excessive sand, dirt and debris will result in an additional cleaning fee and a potential reflection in your guest review.

This unit is privately owned and not affiliated with any rental program; therefore all blankets, linens, towels, pillows, nicknacks, furniture, dishes and cookware in the home belong to the homeowner, and inventory will be taken upon check out... Please ensure you do not damage or accidentally take any of these comforts home with you. We provide enough towels for all guests for the duration of your stay, and there is a laundromat less than a mile away should you need to launder these items.

Please let us know immediately if there are any maintenance, technical or plumbing issues. Guests who do not declare issues during their stay will assume the damages should anything need repaired or replaced after checkout.

Please note for confirmed guests: A house manual is provided inside each unit with rules, expectations and check-in/check-out instructions.

-Guests may request a later checkout. This request MUST be made at least 24 hours in advance. If we are able, we will allow an extra 30 minutes at no charge. Please acknowledge that "late checkouts" cannot be guaranteed, as we have many same-day turnovers, especially in the busy season. This is why we REQUIRE a 24 hour advanced request.

-Any personal items "left behind" will be stored for up to 24 hours before being discarded. Please let us know immediately if any of your items were forgotten. Anything appearing to be trash will be discarded immediately, so double check every drawer, nook and cranny before leaving :)

*THE RESERVATION HOLDER MUST BE 25 YEARS OLD AND PRESENT AT THE HOME (booking on behalf of someone else is strictly prohibited)

*ALL GUESTS MUST EXCHANGE MESSAGES WITH HOSTS BEFORE BOOKING (we like to get to know our guests to ensure we host quality groups who will treat our property with respect)

*HOST RESERVES THE RIGHT TO VERIFY ID'S OF ALL GUESTS IN THE HOME AT ANY TIME UPON REQUEST

*NO UNREGISTERED/UNDECLARED VISITORS ALLOWED ON OR INSIDE THE HOME AT ANY TIME (for insurance reasons, only guests who are declared prior to arrival will be allowed in this vacation rental)

*UP TO 2 DOGS ALLOWED FOR $175 FEE to be paid PRIOR to arrival. Combined weight of dogs must total 125lbs or less. If declaring service pets, documentation must be provided upon request.

*BATH TOWELS ARE NOT TO BE REMOVED FROM THE PROPERTY. THEY ARE NOT TO BE USED AS BEACH TOWELS, ETC

*QUIET HOURS FROM 9PM-8AM (maintaining the peace with our neighbors and our reputation within the community is a high priority- guests causing disturbances will be asked to leave the property immediately, forfeiting the reservation, and will not be eligible for a refund). Please use common sense when utilizing the outdoor space- you will be in close proximity to neighbors- voices carry.

*NO SMOKING/VAPING/DRUGS/UNDERAGE DRINKING OF ANY KIND ON OR INSIDE THE PROPERTY (we reserve the right to remove your entire group immediately if we find this is happening during your stay)

*DO NOT LEAVE DOORS OPEN (it is a safety hazard and will cause moisture to build inside the home, which can result in mildew)

*GUESTS AGREE TO VACATE THE PROPERTY ON END DATE STATED ON RESERVATION. HOSTS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REGAIN POSSESSION OF THE PROPERTY THE SAME DAY. GUESTS WHO REFUSE TO VACATE THE PROPERTY BY CHECKOUT TIME WILL BE CONSIDERED TO BE TRESPASSING.

*GUESTS AGREE TO LOCK ALL DOORS WHEN LEAVING THE HOME FOR ANY REASON (Missing or damaged items will result in recovery fees billed to the reservation holder- protect your belongings and our property by making sure the doors are locked no matter what)

Great place to stay
Erika and John were great and loved the rustic cabin feel. We stayed on the second floor and spent many days enjoying the beautiful weather and playing games on the porch. Great location to get to the beach and shopping and many restaurants. I would definitely would stay here again.

The place is cozy however it would have felt cozier if we weren’t surrounded by mosquitos . I would suggest spraying for future renters. We couldn’t sit anywhere outside. The day of check in we asked for address and were told it was in the ‘thread’ of communication. My daughter and I checked and it wasn’t . Finally Erika sent the address. This, of course, wasn’t our first choice, but worried we couldn’t get a place we scooped up your offer of this cabin..
