Second floor Condo 700' walk uphill to ski slopes, across from Brick Oven Pizza and Sledding hill on Beech Mountain and short walk to Fred's Mercantile for supplies. Once you park you can walk everywhere! Enjoy incredible long range mountain views while sitting on the deck or in front of a gas fireplace with 65" Smart OLED TV. Enjoy a relaxing bubble bath in huge master bath tub after day of hiking or skiing. All bedrooms have smart TVs and kitchen fully stocked to cook at home. Large dinning table seats 8 and board games available for entertainment. This condo has it all including a brand new LG front load stackable washer and dryer for your convenience. Open the windows in the summer to feel the mountain breeze or bundle up in winter in luxury fleece throws and flannel sheets. Beech Mountain is the home to great skiing at the Beech Mountain Ski Resort in the winter, festivals in the summer and leaf peeping in the fall. There is always something fun to do on Beech Mountain! (Property has ring video doorbell camera by front door for security and smart code keyless entry.)

The condo was very clean and well organized. Loved all the extras like the board games and spices stocked in kitchen. Owner was very responsive when I had a question. Location was great to the slopes. The view from the deck is beautiful!

Property was clean and ready for visitors! Location is right next to Beech Mountain. We were lucky enough to be there for a good snow and enjoyed skiing, the cozy fireplace and pizza right across the street! Highly recommend any time of the year

Christmas Ski Trip
My family really enjoyed our stay over the Christmas break. The weather wasn't the best, but nothing you can do about that. The location of this property was fantastic for our family. We were able to walk to the ski mountain each day. The pizza place across the street was delicious and we were super close to Fred's for everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook dinner for our family and the property was clean and well taken care of. We would definitely come back!

Loved the location , ate breakfast at Fred’s Backside every day so yummy and cute. Loved the little amenity bags in the bathrooms ! Also it was nice to have coffee there and not have to run out to get it. Would come back !

Perfect Condo for Skiing
We loved this property and look forward to staying again. It was the perfect location for skiing! The beds were comfortable, and the space was large and airy with a beautiful view of the mountains. The amenities at the cabin were top notch! My husband and I forgot our toothpaste, and there was a mini tube in the master. I can't say enough positive things about this rental!

We will be rebooking!
My family and I had the absolute pleasure to stay at this property! The hosts truly understand how to make a visit feel very much like home. They appropriately sent a well crafted pdf including best practices and rules of the condo. The house was full of toiletries, extra blankets, family games, local brochures, and plenty of dishware to satisfy at home cooks. They have an electronic code to allow guests to enter without having to use a key. The condo is in a premier location with great food and a short drive to Beech Mountain Ski Resort. We had noticed a few things that needed to be brought to their attention and they were quick to resolve them without prompt. The condo was perfect, the time we spent in the mountains was wonderful, and the snacks in a bowl on the counter was an extra special treat. The only thing that made us sad was finding out that the back Patio was not available for guests due to safety concerns on the day of arrival. The view from the patio was a huge selling point and we were only able to see it through the glass. Don't let this stop you from visiting. Since all units of this building suffered the same consequence. We also had friends staying in two other condos next to ours and to our surprise their experience was very sterile in comparison. This host has done an amazing job and we look forward to staying with them again!

Had a great stay at this condo. It was neat, clean, well stocked with essentials. Property Manger communicated with us very well. This condo is perfectly located in the middle of everything. Would definitely stay at this location again!

Supernice and well equipped apartment
The apartment was very nicely decorated. Very well equipped with everything you would need for staying a few days. Fully equipped kitchen etc. Good comfortable beds, nice furniture, felt bigger to us that the pictures showed. The host was super helpful to us with the small questions we had. I had a 6 and 8 year old with me for skiing, the walk up to the skiarea (700ft) was demanding for them but fully doable. But definitely beats driving and parking (the parkings at the ski center were further away than that). We came in after a big dump of snow, my 4-wheel drive (with awful summer-tires got stuck a few times around the parking so I had to use chains to get out of the parking )so i'm happy i followed the advice to bring chains. But I think that amount of snow is very rare there.

Great winter escape into mountains
The property was super clean, spacious, located at very convenient location and had everything we needed. The view was superb, but unfortunately the deck was inaccessible (the sign said it was “unstable”). Heating was working very well. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much!

Mountain Getaway
This condo was a gem! It’s in the heart of everything and the best part is we could easily walk to the ski slopes, shops, and restaurants. The host was super responsive and provided tons of local information that helped to plan our daily activities. The views of the sunset and sunrise was a great bonus. We can’t wait to go back!

Great place to stay for the price. Need to note that the 700 ft walk to slop was an incline of 45 degrees. Tough to walk up in ski boots. Thought there should be a better selection of pots and pans in the kitchen.

Christmas Stay
This rental was extremely well stocked with everything you could possibly need. This included kitchen supplies, hygiene products, snacks, games and other items that made this place stand out. It was well kept and clean when we arrived. The beds were comfy and the gas fireplace kept things toasty! The condo is walking distance to the slopes (about 4 to 5 minutes) and to grab food such as pizza and bbq (2-3 minutes). The hosts were responsive and easy to work with! We really enjoyed our stay and recommend to others.

This place was AMAZING! We loved how convenient everything was to the condo. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go. The place had everything we needed and when it rained we had plenty of board games to keep us occupied. We will definitely stay again!

Weekend Ski Getaway
Excellent property in a great location. We were able to walk to nearby restaurants and Fred's Mercantile. The condo is as advertised and includes everything you could possibly need. The gas fireplace warms the space quickly, and the view was amazing. Skiing was a little tough due to weather. Would go in January or early February next time. Did not experience any snow, but after driving the mountain I believe you would need a 4X4 or AWD drive vehicle in snowy conditions. My wife enjoyed the daily deer sightings.

We enjoyed our stay at Klonteska. The location was a quick walk to the slopes, rental shop, Freds, the Brewery and Pizza ! The large soaking tub was a luxurious treat after a day on the slopes. Amazing views of WNC ! Would definitely rent this place again...

I grew up learning to ski on Beech and Sugar Mountain. Then my son learned to Mountain Bike on Beech and Sugar. So when we moved back to NC we knew where we wanted a mountain vacation home. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We love Klonteska's location being close to everything so we can walk when we are visiting. We love the long range views our condo provides and the quiet mountain setting. We hope you will enjoy the same things we do and more.

What makes this property unique

Our condo is one of the few at Klonteska that has an unobstructed view of Grandfather Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Banner Elk and long range mountains. We have an unusually large deck with both table and chairs for dining as well as a chaise lounge for sitting. It is truly a spectacular view.
