The space:
Wonderful two-bedroom home with bonus den, back patio, grill, outdoor furniture, heat lamp, directly on the main green of the golf course. This airy, tastefully furnished home
has two skylights. The sleeping quarters have blackout shades to help ensure a restful night’s sleep. There is central air and ceiling fans in two bedrooms and in living room for your climate comfort.

Both the living room and kitchen feature access to the patio, which overlooks one of the main greenways in Monterey Country Club. The sunset views against the backdrop of the San Jacinto mountains is the perfect spot to enjoy your sunrise coffee or tea or a sunset glass of wine!

The second bedroom room features a Queen size bed and an attached bathroom. There is a bonus room with areas to relax, nap, watch television or read. Each room has a large television and closet space.

The kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen and outdoor BBQ offer all you need to cook up a meal. The kitchen (and living room) have direct access to the patio, which has a six person dining table, outdoor sofa and a heating lamp. The patio is a great place to enjoy an iced tea, aperitif or glass of wine while taking in the sunset.

A first aid kit and fire extinguisher are in the kitchen.

Sleeping Quarters: The master bedroom features a comfortable King bed, two bedside tables, a velvet sitting chair and a massive, mirrored closet. There is an en suite bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and dual vanities. The second bedroom room features a Queen size bed and an attached bathroom. There is a bonus room with areas to relax, nap, watch television or read.

Each room has a large television and closet.

This location is minutes away from golf, pickleball, tennis, local restaurants, casinos, the El Paseo shopping district, the Living Desert Zoo, public golf courses and hiking trails. It's also a 20-minute drive to Palm Springs.

Great stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was so convenient to Indian Wells Tennis Garden which is t he reason for the trip to Palm Springs. Nice retreat to c ome back to after tennis sessions.

Great location

The unit was very clean. The location was perfect for our needs. Sara was great to work with. We had a little hiccup at the front gate at check-in but it was quickly remedied. We had a great stay.

Great location

Full of natural light, with very comfortable beds, and everything we needed otherwise for an enjoyable stay. Two pools are just across the street, and it was close to everywhere we wanted to visit. Sara was a great host, responding quickly to any questions we had. The outdoor area was less inviting but in all we enjoyed our time there.

Wonderful Stay at Villena Desert Retreat

Perfect location and very comfortable stay for us. We were four adults including my 80+ year old Mom. The property is as described - we arrived to a very clean home, with comfortable beds, plenty of linens and all of the amenities we needed. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. We did have some trouble initially with check-in, but Sara - our host - was very responsive and it was sorted right away. We would definitely come back!

Birthday and New Years Eve

The property was very nice and comfortable and I would stay there again. - It has been updated with some nice features, like a wet-bar (with 2 stools). - There is a big dining room table that fits 6 (but the chairs aren't meant for long meals as they are molded plastic) and a breakfast bar which has 2 stools. - The decor is pleasing. - There were 5 adults in our party, one couple and 3 singles, so the bedding arrangement was okay. - The master bedroom was very nice, the 2nd queen room was nice, but a bit odd with no windows - - but with 2 skylights. - The 3rd bedroom had 2 twins which is what we wanted, but the mattresses were a bit uncomfortable (some kind of foam material that had malformed over time). - The hall bath was big and pleasant, but do bring your own toiletries, as it wasn't well equipped and had a used razor in the shower, which wasn't very pleasant to see. - The kitchen was sufficiently equipped (coffee maker and a Keurig). - The living room had comfortable seating for 4 (not 5). - The patio was nice with a lovely open view of the golf course and one could even get a mountain view from a couple of the seats. - The table was warped, but still usable. - The umbrella in the middle of the table had no stand, so the strong winds we experienced meant we couldn't keep it open, or it would tip. - It has a 2 car garage, but it can't be used. - You can squeeze 2 cars onto the driveway, or park on the street.

Fabulous location

This place was by far the best place we have stayed in our 10 years coming to the Valley. This unit was very clean, well furnished with quality furniture. We especially like the King size bed in the master BR, very comfortable. Monterey County Club is a wonderful community. The location was prefect. Great resturaunts and golf courses within 5-7 minutes away. Sara was the perfect host. We were there for almost 4 weeks and counldnt ask for a better stay. Thank You again Sara
