Small but cozy studio located in the wonderful seaside village of Belmont Shores Long Beach California tons of shops places to eat just steps away from the beach highly recommend. Cool owner, great communication and overall a pleasurable experience.
Property was super clean and functional and the communication was great. Only thing that wasn’t great was the noise outside was pretty hard to ignore but nothing to bad
Tough Parking/Listen to the other reviews as well.
Only real issue is continuous toilet running but if you shut the bathroom door it muffles it a bit. There was a bit of outdoor noise and others could hear everything said or done. Not really good privacy. Kitchen: Not many utensils, only 2 fork, 2 spoon and a couple knives. I didn't feel comfortable using the pots or pans, they felt a bit sticky. Only one hanger in closet to hang all mine and my partners dress up garments. Parking was tough to find a spot to where you won't have to walk a hike to get back to your place. The bedding will make you sweat a lot and it was cold outside. We couldn't pinpoint why but we sweat alot with it and it was too cold to not use it though. Overall this place did help me out for the time there with my partner. It was super close to 2nd Street with all the stores and restaurants. The candy shop was the best and Starbucks was a plus.
Me and my partner stayed here for a weekend and it was a great stay! The place was clean and cozy, it was perfect for the weekend. I had a couple small questions and the host was very responsive and helpful.
Another nice touch is the area, we didn’t even have to use our car to get food as there’s plenty of places in walking distance and even some rentable scooters in the area. I personally tried the ramen restaurant and the greek one and would recommend both.
Johns place was in a perfect location for everything I went to Long Beach for. The place was clean and cozy. Neighborhood was close to restaurants and stores. Would definitely stay there again.
We enjoyed everything about our stay here. It was the perfect place to have a fun weekend before our cruise. The only challenge was parking…. And the guy we found peering inside my car before we pulled our suitcases out.
Our host was amazing! Very prompt and super helpful with our small requests and questions. Can’t wait to stay here again! TYSM ♥️

Got what I paid for
I decided to book this for my birthday and I'd definitely got what I paid for. The property is cute but my biggest issue was trying to work with the property manager. I accidentally booked for the wrong day and they ignored my communication, forcing me to book a hotel for the missing day. They also tried to tell me that checkout was an hour earlier than agreed.
This is a very cute place, very close to 2nd street and a ten minute walk to the beach. My daughter and I stayed here for a weekend visiting family. It is very cute and clean. Only a few issues - but they were addresed quickly. It was an “excessive heat warning” all weekend and the portable AC unit was ok but definitely took a day to cool things off. We lost power Sunday morning and the instructions were incorrect for the breaker box because the la el had fallen off the outside unit. However the owner responded quickly to text and we were able to get it on again. We also had issues with wifi Saturday night. We tried resetting the router but still had a few hours without WiFi’. As other reviews state, it is in a loud area and close to other houses so there was noise but we were not there much so it didn’t get in the way of our stay. Would love ice trays in the freezer and a larger trash can in the kitchen. Otherwise it was grea and I would stay here again.

As seasoned travelers, my husband and I have stayed in various vacation rentals, but our recent experience at this VRBO rental in Long Beach, California surpassed all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning ocean views (a 5 min walk) the stylish decor, and the impeccable attention to detail throughout the property.
The location of the rental was ideal, just a short walk from the beach and within easy reach of local attractions, restaurants, and shops. We spent our few days exploring the vibrant city of
Long Beach, and did not want to leave.
What truly set this rental apart was the exceptional level of hospitality we received from the hosts. They were responsive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect in every way!
The unit was cute, clean, and had all the amenities you could want. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and a short drive to the beach. Would definitely stay again.

Nice small studio in close quarters
Overall our stay at this place was okay. It got off to a bit of a rocky start when we checked in right on time at 2pm and the place hadn’t been cleaned yet and the host was unresponsive. Luckily the proximity to the shops and restaurants at 2nd street is convenient so we were able to walk around while we waited for a response. The cleaners arrived in short time and were able to get it cleaned within an hour (it’s a small place with just the bare minimum provided towels and bedding).
The place is right off 2nd street which is convenient but also it’s right next to the back alleyway of the shops off 2nd. It’s also in close proximity to the 3 other units within the building so there is hardly any privacy. You could hear everything between the walls, and we were awoken at 4am by a neighbor’s television on the first night. We did mention this to the host and they responded that they would inform the neighbor of the noise policy. We didn’t have the same problem the next night.
Also the circuit breaker tripped and the power went out while using the hair dryer with the air conditioner on. We didn’t use the kitchen but I can only imagine how often the power would trip if you were trying to use the microwave or any kitchen appliances. Also when we went out to flip the breaker switch, we noticed the switches were completely exposed and not even covered by a box or cabinet.
Overall a good location and fine place to sleep, but I wouldn’t stay again.
Comfortable stay for two adults. A/C kept it cool, but was a little noisy for sleeping. We didn’t use the kitchen, but it looked well-equipped. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Enjoyed our stay, would come again.
