Small cozy cottage style home. Small efficiency kitchen, roomy bathroom with large shower. Nice at home bedroom with comfortable bed and linens. The living room has a TV with DVD player in it. Couch with hide-a-bed, as well as other amenities for your comfort. Rose Haven Cottage is set up as though we were going to live there, and we want it to be as though you are a guest in our home.
We have WIFI internet for your convenience.

Nice 2 week stay

Great little spot

The check in was a little confusing. Once I met the property manager the stay was fantastic. Very cute little place right in town. I’d definitely stay there again.

Great location to explore Montrose & the San Juans.

We enjoyed being in a location so close to all the things the area has to offer. Owners were nice and responsive.

Old but mice

Funky exterior…looks untouched for 70 years but interior totally remodeled. All appliances, kitchen cabinets bathroom all new. Hot tub looked nice but it rained every afternoon so we didn’t use it. Very well equipped kitchen except glassware was sparse…no wine glasses! Entry keypad was hard to use as it didn’t light up. I recommend new lock.

Cozy, comfortable and affordable, lovely owner, Ellie, and manager, Cecelia.

This is a lovely little bungalow, and we will certainly be staying here again on any return to Montrose. For a small house it has the feel of being at home! God bless Ellie and Cecelia!

Great little cabin close to Black Canyon

We stayed at the Rose Haven Cottage for a week to work remotely and take evening trips over to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. This was the perfect place for that! Cozy and clean we enjoyed our stay. Wifi largely held up (some issues with multiple video calls, not terribly unexpected) and the kitchen had everything we needed for a longer stay. The cabin was walking distance to Montrose’s cute downtown and a 20min. Drive from the park. Highly recommend Rose Haven!

Great Location

The property was as advertised, clean and a great location! We stayed a week, and each day after breakfast there, we enjoyed a different adventure to enjoy Colorado's beauty. We enjoyed the many restaurants each night for supper. Liked the "rose theme" in the property.

Cute cozy cottage!

This stay worked well for my partner and i for a quick trip to Montrose for a wedding. The house was clean and tidy and very cozy. The only critique i have is to list the current wifi Name and the password, it was a bit of a guessing game to figure out which network to connect to!

The Rose Haven was OK

I liked the location, I liked the city. The RH furniture was my issue. It appears that the RH allows pets and those pets like the furniture. I couldn't use the couch.

Quiet Stay in a Convenient Location

Old & dated but cute little cottage for our 10-day stay in town for the County Fair. Very quiet location but just a couple of blocks from the main street through town & 3 blocks from a grocery store. Bed was comfortable and shower was clean and powerful. Towels were plush. Kitchen was very small but adequate. One tiny window A/C unit in the bedroom struggled a bit to keep up with the unusual 100+ degree heat, but cooled down comfortably at night. Be aware personal toiletries are not provided here. Cissy was very friendly & available to help in any way needed; we enjoyed our visits with her & Wes and their kids next door.

Rose Haven Cottage

My wife and I stayed here for a week. The cottage was clean and nice. We did a lot of outdoor activities around the area, at the end of the day we would return to the cottage to relax.

Everett and Ella Marolf live in the mountains west of Montrose.
They raised two daughters and have enjoyed their three grandsons at their home every summer.
Everett has been a rancher and heavy equipment operator and Ella is an artist and well known in the area for her sculptures.
They have been married for over 56 years.

Why they chose this property

We have completely restored this little house. Everything is chosen to be cheery and easy to care for.
There is a tiny Patio, that is cool in the evening.
It was created especially to be a home away from home for our guest. We hope you will come and stay, and enjoy our beautiful area.
We have made it a complete home on a small scale. We are sorry we could not squeeze in a washer and dryer into our tiny space, but there are Laundromats close by.

What makes this property unique

Rose Haven Cottage is in a quiet neighborhood, and is close to many of Montrose's attractions, and businesses. The Hospital and Cancer Center are only 5 blocks away. It is only 8 blocks from downtown.The Library and Collage and Pool are close by as well. One Movie theater and Local theater are in the area as well.Another movie is only a short drive East .There is even a Drive In Movie if you are nostalgic.
The Cottage has new Hardwood floors and tile.
Trash service every Thursday.
You are only less than an hour from the Colorful towns of Telluride and Ouray and the Scenic San Juan Mountains. Day trips can be included to Black Canyon,Silverton and Durango and Mesa Verde, as well as the Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction.
There is wonderful mountain biking, and a club in town who organizes trips. a bike train on our block.
You can stay in the winter and ski , go ice climbing or just watch. Hiking or just sight seeing.
At the present time there is being built a wonderful new Recreation Center.I will include more on that at a later date.
There are Golf courses near by and a walking and bike path. .
