Property was decent. We were there when it was in the 90’s, so working air conditioning would have been nice, but we managed with the ceiling fans and a box fan. The table for meal gatherings only seats six, so we ate in shifts or in the living room furniture. Kids loved the dock and swimming. A very remote property that works well for groups who want to stay and play!
We very much enjoyed out stay at the Bates Motel. So nice to be able to walk down to our boat and pop out for a quick boat ride or fishing. Didn't happen a lot during our stay since we had a fair amount of cold and rain. Couple of items to note. When arriving you want to turn down the driveway marked 6150 and stay to the right past the big house to the boat house. If this was part of the instructions we missed it. Also the bunkroom is not accessible from the upstairs. You must go outside, down the steps and through the big doors to gain access. Not a huge deal for us since our group was older but we would have been disappointed if we had been staying with younger kids. Very peaceful since cell coverage does not work so have to unplug or use WIFI. :-) We were also able to watch the geese and goslings as well as daily fly overs from Herons. Just what the doctor ordered!
This was a great property for us, we were looking for a relaxing getaway and it couldn’t have been better. Beautiful views and very peaceful. The property manager, Lindsay, was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We plan to return!
