We were so pleased that this property was true to its listing. The home was cozy and very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and the layout allowed plenty of room for our family! Doug responded quickly to all of our communications. The location was convenient to UVM. We look forward to staying again in the future!
This house was great. We settled right in and it felt like home to us. The owner was helpful and the house was clean and well prepared. Thank you for a great stay!
Excellent stay at Maple Leaf Farm for my daughter’s wedding at Isham Family Farm in Williston VT
This home is a gem! The kitchen, family and living room are very spacious. The dining area and the breakfast nook area are surrounded by large glass windows so you can enjoy the views of the lawn and meadows
The beds in the bedrooms are very comfortable and the individual air conditioners in each room made it possible to control the temperature. Two and one half bathrooms were greatly appreciated and is rare to find a house in the area with that many bathrooms
We used the blackstone grill. on the patio. We were able to charge our electric vehicle in the garage
The location is private but close enough to restaurants and shopping areas. The area is beautiful- drive through farms and rolling hillls
Doug is very friendly, takes pride in making sure his guests are satisfied with the house. Before our stay he responded to messages promptly and check in was very smooth. He stopped by to make sure everything was ok. So very pleased with this house!
Our 3 generational family had a great vacation staying at Maple Leaf Acres!
The home was beautiful, clean, and located close to all that Burlington had to offer. It was exactly as described, and our host was very helpful.
I would highly recommend Maple Leaf Acres and look forward to returning in the future!

Loved staying here, the owner is very nice. The home is very well kept.
The property provided all the space and amenities that we could want to gather with our family. Indoor and outdoor spaces allowed us to optimize gathering no matter what the weather was outside. Doug has a great property and is a wonderful host!
This is a beautiful, immaculate and well located home, snuggled within easy access to major ski areas. We are three generations, ages 4-76, who gather for a ski weekend every year. This is by far the most convenient and well appointed rental! You will find the finest quality offered for your enjoyment. Doug is the perfect host
We plan to stay here again when we come back to Vermont.
We've stayed in so many rentals over the years, but this is perhaps the most well appointed. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil you might have in your own home, the bathrooms had various types of shampoos and soap, and the beds had weighted blankets which were a treat. Doug even has a heated garage bay which is available for your use. The location is on the outskirts of Burlington, so had ample access to groceries, etc. It was about 30-45 mins from the closest ski resorts. Doug was a great host and reached out to make sure we were comfortable. Thank you!
5 generations of my family spent Christmas at Maple Leaf Farm. We couldn’t have been happier with the house. We were greeted with a welcome basket of lotions and soaps, maple syrup from Doug’s family farm and plenty of coffee, tea, hot cocoa and snacks. There was plenty of space for our family to spread out, we could be sitting in the living room chatting while other people were out in the TV room watching a movie. The kitchen was amazing and we all want new refrigerators and stoves because the appliances were splendid. There was everything we needed. We had our Vermont family come over for dinner and there was plenty of space for all of us to eat and visit. Everything from the bedding to the placemats to the games were wonderful. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, Doug paid so much attention to details. He even left out baking sheets because he knew we wanted to bake cookies. He was responsive to all of our requests and questions. He let me know that one of the family left behind a treasured piece of jewelry and offered to mail it out. Our only disappointments were that we only had 5 nights and it never snowed but Doug couldn’t control the weather.
I mentioned to Doug that this would be our first grandchild's first Christmas. He beautifully decorated the house inside and out making for a very special location for a great family Christmas! The layout of the house and the quality, condition and size of appliances make this a great place for any gathering. Plenty of pots pans etc. to make a family or friends feast any time of the year.
We were in Vermont for our son's wedding and stayed at Doug's beautiful home in Williston for the long weekend. The house had everything we needed-even a pack and play for our new granddaughter. Doug was an excellent host and was easy to communicate with and very accommodating to our change of plans when we needed to stay an extra night. Will definitely stay at this beautiful home if we find ourselves in the Williston area in the future. Thank you, Doug, for everything!
We were all favorably impressed the moment we entered the house. The layout was perfect for a large group to enjoy each other's company while offering areas inside and out to meet one-on-one, too. Amazing kitchen - well stocked for those that forgot to bring something, wonderful appliances, generous countertop space. We used the double oven for meal preparation and never came close to filling the refrigerator, in spite of all the food we brought with us. Additionally, some of us used, and enjoyed using, the state-of-the-art washer & dryer.
The first day we stayed was rainy, but we barely noticed. The enormous front porch was surprisingly private and was quite pleasant during the drizzly day. We also spent time relaxing in the very comfortable gazebo. When the rain let up, a few of us used the mowed path to access the adjacent wooded trails of the Catamount Outdoor Family Center for a special experience.
Finally, close proximity to the airport. grocery stores, and dining options kept us from sitting in cars much during our stay, in contrast to more remote Vrbo rental locations.
Wonderful place to have family time while visiting the beautiful cities near Williston…cooking accommodations and spacious eating area were fantastic! A great summer place to be…close to many things to do in the area. The only negative was the rain.
Wonderful property with easy access to Burlington and Richmond. Clean and well appointed with all the kitchen utensils we needed. Beds were very comfortable
Upon arrival we were greater with a welcome binder, lotions/soaps, and restaurant recommendations. The house is very spacious with a gas wood burning stove. The beds were comfortable. It is only a 20 min drive into Burlington which made it easy for day trips. Would highly recommend staying here if you want a comfortable home for any trip to Burlington.
We had the most amazing stay in Doug’s home in Williston. The house was spacious and comfortable. Doug spoiled us with lots of extras that you typically don’t find in other rentals, including a birthday banner and local cupcakes which were an unexpected surprise but very much appreciated and delicious! We came to the Burlington area for my husband’s 40th birthday with our friends and family and all intentions to go skiing; however, my husband was recently injured and had surgery requiring a change of plans. We were really happy to be so close to lots of activities, restaurants, and breweries to keep ourselves busy. When we were at the house, the space made it easy for the adults and kids to have enough room to play. The icing on the cake were the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on in a rental. I would absolutely go back and recommend to anyone looking to stay close to Burlington and the ski resorts. Thanks for everything Doug!

About the host
Hosted by Douglas Isham
I am a native Vermonter, having grown up on the family dairy farm 5 miles up the road. My brother still operates the farm as fifth generation owner. The farm is famous for hosting weddings, farmer's markets and other local performances in the restored dairy barn. There is maple sugaring in the spring, berry picking in the summer, corn maze and pumpkins in the fall and Christmas tree sales in the winter. The farm was depicted in the Netflix documentary My Love.
Why they chose this property
This property has it all. Plenty of space to host your family gatherings. The back yard is large and spacious. Trails for light hiking, biking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing right out the back door. It is very much a country home yet 20 minutes to downtown Burlington and the Lake Champlain waterfront. It is also located within an hour or less of the northern Vermont ski areas such as Bolton Valley, Stowe, Sugarbush, Mad Glen and Smugglers Notch. It is just over an hour to Jay Peak
What makes this property unique
This home is set up for family gatherings. It has a pack and play as well as a high chair.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a plowing business that operates out of two of the bays of the garage in the winter. This just means you'll always be able to get out for fresh powder skiing.
