Enjoy all 4 seasons at this beautiful, private vacation spot situated on the picturesque upper St. Mary's River! Shallow for kids, but deep enough for your jetski, boat, or pontoon. Visit Tahquamenon Falls, LSSU, Mackinac Island, and the Soo Locks. Eat at local restaurants, or stay in and grill. Swim, tan, watch freighters, golf, snowmobile, hike, snowshoe, kayak, color tour, and relax at campfires. Bring the cousins; grandpa and grandma too! Only 5 miles from historic downtown Sault Ste. Marie!

Roast marshmallows and hotdogs around the campfire sitting in our 10 campchairs.
Grill to your heart's content on the brand new gas grill, and then sit down at the table on the water facing deck or the picnic table near the shore.
Get your excercise on the water with our 2 kayaks equipped with paddles and lifejackets!

Just what we needed

This property worked well for us. We did experience issues with the heat during our first night, but the owner addressed the issue and communicated well!

Great location in the Sault!

Well-stocked and very clean house right on the river! Nice big place for all of us. Great views, easy to get to town. Good check out directions. Lovely place, hope to stay here again sometime!

Wonderful weekend stay

Our group stayed here during an ice hockey tournament at the Soo. The house is hugh with plenty of room for our 10 giests. The kitchen is the best stocked I have seen at a VRBO. There were plenty of big, soft bath towels, and rhe bedds were comfortable. Will definitely consider staying again when we have another Soo tournament.

This house officially sleeps 13, but that would be tight. Plenty of room for 4-6 adults and little kids though. Wwll appointed Kitchen, nice ranch that has been added onto several times, good view of St. Mary's River, great backyard for kids to run and play.

Overall, it was good. However, the following need improvement: The lawn service should have a bagger so guests don't track in; grass cuttings,\ Need to replace lock box as hinge is broken; showers need more hand rails if this is listed Handicapped Accessible; front porch railing is loose; need boards for the two dining tables. A perfect place!

A perfect vaction here! This was a weeklong celebraion for our 45th wedding anniversary. All the adults and the grandkids ages 1 - 12 years old had a wonderful time becasue it truly felt like home. Clean and well laid out for the whole family. We especially enjoyed the river and the ability for the children to play in the Shallows - the water level was perfect for all to enjoy. The host was amazing - everything we needed was already there - ready to go. So well set up with everything needed and beyond. The host was also very responsive - we had one issue with some plumbing and the host responded immediately and the issue was resolved within hours. We loved watching the freighters in the river and appreciated the quietness of the few neighbors. The ability to use the kayaks, have a fire by the water, and relax on the porch was a blessing. If you are looking for a quiet well set up home to spend with a group - this is the place! Everything was good to excelent quality. We enjoyed early morning coffee by the lake, the use of the kayaks, and the fires in the lake side fire pit. This was a perfect property and location. We hope to return this property!

Annual family vacation

This year our family yravelled with the youngest new family member 13mo old. We all liked how we all had a private bedoom to retreat to at the end of the day as well as the large family rooms!! Awesome views of the lake freighter activity. Couldnt ask for a better time. provided and the treat basket favoritesalways.

Family time

This was our first family vacation since all my children have been married. The cabin was plenty big enough for everyone to have their own space. We loved that there was 2 separate sitting areas so if some wanted to watch tv there could. The kayaks were a wonderful bonus. The kids and adults loved them.

Perfect for large family or friends gathering

Property was as described. Our family enjoyed the roomy common areas, beautifully decorated, homey atmosphere, and large outside area for children (young and old). Beach area was perfect. Hostess Brianna was always easy to contact and helpful. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The Perfect Spot for a family getaway

Our family enjoyed this home! The location on the river was very nice for watching Great Lake ships passing through, swimming, kayaking, relaxing and sitting by the campfire at night. This house provided plenty of room for our group of 9. The kitchen had everything we needed for our meal preparation. The beds and sofas were very comfortable. Definitely a 5 star rating!

Perfect for our needs

The property was absolutely perfect for our family long weekend. Enough room that we weren't in each other's way. Had some rainy weather, but we played games indoors. Saw some stunning sunsets. Hostess was very responsive to our needs.

Peaceful lake home

Our family had a wonderful time at this home! Lots of room to spread out. Also got to see several boats go by on the river which was an extra surprise. Loved the welcome basket of chocolates and stuff to make s'mores! If you stay here, you don't be disappointed!

Robotics Volunteers

A group of us wo were volunteering at the FIRST Robotics Event at LSSU stayed. It was great to have a comfy place to stay even though we didn't get to spend much time at this beautiful property!

Bereavement Retreat

We have stayed here 2 years in a row. Recently a family member passed away. This was a great place for my husband and I and all of our adult children to stay in order to attend the funeral. As a side note, there was a problem with the heating system and Brianna contacted an HVAC service tech who came within minutes, to fix the problem. It was an enjoyable stay as always, albeit bittersweet.

Comfortable House with a Great View

Our family of 8 really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of room, clean and very comfortable. If you enjoy watching the big lake freighters, you can't beat this place. Big yard right on the St Marys River.

Friends getaway

The property and location were perfect for our group of 8 (4 couples). Briana was responsive to all of our questions. There was a wonderful welcome basket when we arrived and the house is equipped with a full kitchen, kayaks and enough space that we had room to lounge, play games and have a campfire right next to the water. The house is located just a few miles from downtown on a very quiet dead end. It was truly a perfect weekend getaway!

Wonderful place to create cherished moments!!

This property felt like home. Beautiful and quiet neighborhood. The host anticipated everything you could possibly need for a a great family time! The house and grounds were spotless. It was easy to cook meals and enjoy them on the deck or by the water. The beds were comfortable and good linens and towels were provided. There were many options for spreading out when needed AND great options for gathering together as well. Overall, just perfect and we'll be back!!

Excellent place for friend groups

Great place with enough dedicated bedrooms and bathrooms for a large group of friends to stay. Equally important - enough seating and space for all who stayed (I hate seeing listings that “sleep 10” with only one bathroom and a dining table that seats 4 - that is not the case here!). Definitely recommend Triple R retreat!

Our UP Family Tradition

My husband and I along with our adult children and spouses stayed here for a 2nd year in a row. The really nice thing about this place is that the sleeping arrangements can be satisfied with the 5 bedrooms. It's perfect when every adult is not a married couple and needs their own room. We are freighter enthusiasts, so watching them go by is amazing!! The kitchen has any cooking utensil one would need and there is plenty of tableware. We did note the left front burner on the electric range still doesn't work, but that did not hinder us at all. We appreciated the upgrades from last year by having an AC unit in each room (even though the weather did not get warm enough to even consider using them). It was really nice to have the living room fireplace on a thermostat--we did use it in August!! The kayaks, fir pit, camp chairs, etc are additional, welcomed amenities. Be careful of the Canadian geese as they like to make their daily donations on the lawn while you are away--we found a garden spade in the garage to help clean it up. Plenty of parking, beautiful hydrangeas, wonderful furniture, with several powered recliners, and a good assortment of game boards; it is a real retreat!! We've been vacationing in the Sault area for 30 years starting with tent camping while all the kids were young, then moving toward camping/motel stays. Road's End River Retreat now allows all of us to relax together in comfort as well as enjoy the secluded nature.
