This was our second summer staying at this beautiful home in Tom Nevers and we’re already planning on coming back again next year! The location could not be better with a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and the house was perfect fit for our group. The backyard set up is beautiful and the hosts could not be more accommodating! Thank you again for a lovely stay
This was the best rental my group has had on island. The proximity to the beach is unmatched and they have everything you need! Beach chairs, towels, coolers, games, and even a beach wagon to wheel everything in. The property was beautiful with great landscape and outdoor seating. The renter was also very communicative and accommodating. We will absolutely be coming back!
Home is immaculate, very well equipped and located in a beautiful part of the island. Deck is spacious and comfortable. Large yard is great for family play. Short nice walk to the beach. Quiet paved roads very nearby are great for walking and jogging. Owners are gracious and helpful. Would definitely return.
We loved our stay at the Tom Nevers house! We walked to one of the best beaches on the island and it was super private! The house has everything you need too!
We had a lovely family vacation here! Walking distance to one beach and short drive to others. Beautiful yard and nice sized patio with a grill helped make up for more limited common areas inside.
This is a wonderful rental in a quiet location. The unit is very clean, comfortable (especially the beds), and well stocked with linens, cooking equipment, dishes/utensils/glass-wear, and beach gear. Access to Tom Nevers beach, trip to 'Sconset center and Nantucket town are easy. Most importantly, the owners are welcoming and very responsive to all inquiries. We had a delightful stay and plan to return!
The property was lovely clean well appointed with a great location to a beautiful beach. The house and everything we needed For a very relaxing week on Nantucket. The house were very communicative and kind
We loved our stay - the place had everything we needed, including excellent beach equipment and a well-stocked kitchen. We stayed with four adults and two kids. Had amazing times in the lovely backyard, and it was a short walk to a beautiful beach. We also enjoyed the quiet Tom Nevers location. The owners were also very responsive.
I rented this for my daughter and her family and they were 100% satisfied with the place. She has 4 children and everyone found the accommodations to be quite comfortable. We have already reserved it for next year.
We were so appreciative of Dave and Kathy accommodating our last minute plans to take vacation. The house was the perfect size for us and had everything we could ever need for a beach vacation including chairs, toys for the kids and even a cooler! The ability to walk to the end of the road to the beach was such a treat and the outdoor shower was a dream! We appreciated the tranquil neighborhood as well. We had never stayed in Tom Nevers before, it is close proximity to Sconset for the market, shops and snacks even to mid-island for Stop & Shop and Fish Market. With traffic this time of a year, it took some time to get to town or the drive on kids beaches but the house was just what we hoped for when booking a vacation with a weeks notice. Thank you again!
We had a wonderful stay in Tom Nevers! Everything about the house was exactly as described and it had even more room than we thought! The backyard is absolutely perfect and they have everything you need for a hosting a perfect summer dinner outside. We hope to be back and feel lucky to have found this spot on Nantucket.
We had a wonderful time during our stay. The location is perfect for a quiet and relaxing visit. It a short walk to a beautiful beach which did not have crowds. The location is relatively close to the island's bike path and a few miles to 'Sconset, etc. The property manager was on top of things and responded promptly and courteously to all inquiries/requests.
We had a fantastic week at For Every Buoy! The house is clean and well equipped. Everyone was comfortable and had their own space. We enjoyed relaxing days at the beach and returning to the house to lounge on the back deck. The outdoor shower was a definite bonus. Thank you, we will definitely be back!!
We had a great time staying at For Every Buoy! The house was very clean and well taken care of! The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions and very helpful with advice on things to do, etc. We had most of our meals in the outdoor deck seating. This was our first time on island and we loved the property as well as our ability to quickly get to town. We would definitely return. Thanks David & team!

Great house!
We had a wonderful stay and the house came exactly as advertised. Clean, updated, great deck and yard for the kids to play in. Short walk to the beach and away from the craziness of town. The house was perfect for us (3 adults, 3 small kids). Highly recommend!

About the host
Hosted by Blaise Sanders
Kathy along with her husband David and friend Blaise own this home. For over a decade, we have been sharing our joint Island venture by opening our home to guests. We, along with so many others, find Nantucket to be a very special place. Kathy and David live in a suburb of Boston while Blaise lives in New York. We all bring different strengths to this vacation rental but hospitality is our common goal.
Why they chose this property
After years of vacationing on Nantucket, we decided to see if we could actually purchase a place on this special island. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have found 12 Old Tom Nevers. This duplex was once Naval Officers Housing and having been built by the government is exceptionally sturdy. Renovated in 2011 it is a very comfortable home with good-sized bedrooms and an expanded deck. The classic cottage style house is landscaped with native plant material, has excellent light and wonderful ocean breezes with the sound of the surf at the front door. The neighborhood is quiet and a short stroll takes one to community stairs accessing the beach. We have continued to upgrade and improve this property and enjoy having the opportunity to share our home with others.
What makes this property unique
12 Old Tom Nevers is an excellent location to just kick back and relax. Rise early to catch the sunrise over the beach, watch the rabbits frolic on the lawn, enjoy morning coffee on the deck, play lawn games, grill lunch, take a nap on the beach, freshen up with an outdoor shower, fine dine at one of many restaurants in town, and star glaze before bedtime.
