This is our 2nd year to stay here for spring break. We went to 3 separate state parks, the national forrest, and the Little Rock Zoo...not to mention the afternoons just hanging at the cabin with the zipline and the swing and kayaking around the lake. The house is clean and comfy and Jason makes the whole process so easy!
My 70 year old mom and I stayed for two nights with our dogs! We had the best relaxing time and just let our dogs run. The neighbors and kids and other dogs in the area were all so sweet. Would recommend highly. It was a little cool for using the kayaks, but I would definitely have done it had the weather been warmer!
We only stayed for a night and I wish we were able to stay longer. The house was super clean and smelled amazing. The views were beautiful and the house was well stocked!
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights and this house was super clean and pretty. The fishing was great and kayaking was even better. Definitely will be coming back!!
My girlfriend and I chose to stay here for our 5 year anniversary and it was amazing! We loved the coziness of the cabin and it was fully stocked with anything we could think of. This location was also very clean, inside and out, and helped make this trip that much more enjoyable. Thank you so much Jason for allowing us into this beautiful home! :)
As advertised. Clean, fun location, plenty of seating. We stayed during a cold snap, 15 degrees. The heat couldn't really keep up with those temperature. The other comments about the dogs are accurate. We were greeted by them at our car. They are friendly, but if you have a dog that doesn't play well with others (like ours), you may want to look somewhere else.
We stayed with our 7yr old twins and our dog over the Christmas holiday, and it was perfect. The house was cozy and clean, and had all everything we needed for a quiet holiday away from everything. Even in the cold, my husband was able to catch a few little bluegills, and our kids loved being pushed on the saucer swing! We loved seeing the Great White Pelicans and all the other cool birds that were out on the lake. There's a Dollar General very nearby for all those little things we forgot, and a Harps grocery store that's not too far for any needs that DG can't cover. We're thankful for our time spent in Perryville, and will cherish the memories we made there.
We planned this trip for some peace, quiet & tranquility. And we got it! The view of the lake was beautiful and we enjoyed going out on the dock to see the sunset each evening. They had everything we needed there.
Nice spot that worked out for me and my wife to get away for a couple of days. Very clean and well stocked. I bet it is fun in the summer with all the outdoor activities available
Didn’t want to leave anything less than a 5-star review because you can tell the owner has really tried hard to update the property. It’s a really cute truly lake-front property, fully furnished, and has everything you would need. It’s clean. Getting in touch with the host was easy, and he was responsive. That said, this place is small, not much bigger than a suite at a hotel. There are two beds in one room, both are caved in obviously where a person has slept the most. Still comfy though somehow. Fishing wasn’t great, and there are a lot of trees in this lake, so I would t count on swimming. But seriously, like I said, for a cabin in backwoods Arkansas, it’s a really cute place, and it’ll suit your needs.
My wife and I stayed at the lake house for a few days in November. I appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and the relaxing setting. We took our dog on long walks, and were joined on a few of them by neighborhood dogs, but all the dogs seemed friendly enough.
This lake cottage is cute, cozy and quiet! The home had everything you’d need. The kayaks were a great activity on a very still lake, the wildlife was beautiful to watch and the sunset was spectacular. The only thing I did not know before booking was that there weren’t many options for getting beer or wine within 20 miles or so, and no restaurants near by either. But I opted for cooking our meals which was fine too.
Overall we enjoyed our two night stay very much and Jason the owner was always responsive and helpful!!!
We had such a great time at the Lake House.
The views of Sunset & Sunrise were stunning.
Thank you for sharing!

Cons:
*House on the same property (no fence) within about 10-15 ft to the left of this house shares the backyard space and amenities. This additional house is not included in any of the photos. While we were there the other house hosted an initial 7 guests that grew to 15+ guests for two of the four nights. Parties were thrown in the backyard, close proximity, speaker w/ loud music, with direct line of sight into our rented house from directly behind the house. There are no curtains or blinds! Notifications to the host did not help. Those days my son and I could not enjoy a peaceful back deck, or quiet evening. If only every day could have been like the last with no one sharing the space…this would be another 5 Star review.
*Dogs roam this and neighboring properties. They are nice, but bark and howl EVERY morning before sunrise at 5:30am-6:30am. This is done in various areas up and down the street including the front driveway which is just outside the bedroom window. Do not plan on sleeping in.
Pros:
*Kayaking on our last day to the island in the middle of the lake was fun.
*My son loved the zip line when it wasn’t used by the multiple other kids staying in the house next door.
Unfortunately the stay is not what I envisioned for a peaceful Fall getaway together with my boy. The host knew of the initial 7 guests that were booked next door, but didn’t mention to tell us the property would be shared during our stay. If I would have known this we would have looked elsewhere.
My girlfriend and I stayed here as a part of our long road trip to Kentucky. Let me tell you, it was hard to leave this place. Beautiful rustic vibes, phenomenal location, easy self check-in process and the host was nice enough to give us some local recommendations. There is fishing, kayaking, and swimming available at the lake. We took the kayaks out for a short trip around the lake which took us about an hour. Overall, we enjoyed every minute of this trip and if you’re wondering if it’s worth the money, it is. 100%.
The home was neat, clean, cute and stocked with everything you might need. Quiet neighborhood with beautiful sunsets. If I’m ever back in the area I’d stay again!
We bought this cabin and renovated it in large part because we fell in love with view. We enjoy spending time on the deck, watching the birds--bald eagles, ospreys, great blue herons, pelicans, etc. My kids love to swim in the lake. My wife and I never miss an opportunity to kayak throughout the lake, especially around the island. Even on a busy holiday, there is maybe 10 boats on the lake; this made us feel comfortable taking our kids out in kayaks.
Why they chose this property
We have tried to make this a perfect family retreat. We own the house next door too. The backyard is huge and shared between the two homes. Feel free to enjoy the 55 foot long zipline! My kids will play on it for an hour straight! There is also a tree swing, tether ball, picnic table, fire pit, about 9 kayaks, a canoe and paddles, dock for swimming, fishing or kayaking.
What makes this property unique
This is a small lake cabin about 750 SF. It is one bedroom, but has two beds and a sleeper sofa. The living room, kitchen and dining area is all open in one large room where regardless of where you are the 15 feet of windows showcases the fantastic view of the lake. The deck runs across the entire back of the cabin and has lots of seating.
