Alan was there for everything we needed. Answered right away willing to come bring us fresh towels. The place was beautiful but could use some new furniture and mattress. I would definitely stay again.

Family vacation
Not very clean. Kitchen was not stocked but it was big. There were not enough mirrors for getting ready for 8 people with 1 bathroom. Toilet clogged and there was no offer to fix it. Rooms and linens did not smell good. Kids loved the games and pool table though. Parking is difficult right off busy road and major freeway in back yard.
The property could use some TLC. Location is ok to the city, though right next to freeway so not quiet at night for sleeping. Furniture needs some replacement. We had one bed break, with an average adult size person sleeping in it, a patio chair fell the ground when a 140lb person sat in it. Kitchen supplies is lacking so if you need something specific bring it. Alan was responsive to all messages which was great. Honestly, it’s a place to sleep if you don’t mind minimal amenities and you don’t expect hotel grade arrangements. close to churchhill downs and downtown. Only street parking on busy road.
Property was roomy, it was easy to find the owner was very helpful and willing to accommodate coffee needs.

Very Disappointing
The property had an awkward set up with a pool/pingpong table taking up the entire living room area. If you could squeeze around the pool table to sit on the sofas, they were rock hard and impossible to get comfortable on. There were no top sheets on any of the beds (comforters only which likely don't get washed between guests). Questionable stains on the fitted sheet of one bed. No wash cloths or hand towels in the bathroom, only a roll of paper towels. No silverware in the kitchen. Wicker patio furniture was shredded to the point that they were not usable. Backyard fence was falling in. On the plus side: there was a washer and dryer available, the overall cleanliness was relatively good, the air conditioner worked very well, and the bathroom was very spacious. I would not stay here again and I would not recommend it to others.
It was mostly very nice. Clean, nicely updated. Lots of freeway noise in the early morning. Electrical outlets by stove not working. We missed a toaster. Thank you.

A little cringe
It seemed seedy to my team. There were no top sheets on the beds! There were only paper towels in the bathrooms, and no hand towels. One spoon in the house, so not hardly any silverware. There were funky smells upstairs, and remnants of biological residue, like bodily fluids, oily blankets, so not a fan of those aspects! Decent enough neighborhood, but the vibe was not ideal for us.
This place was very nice and spacious. We used it mainly as a place to stay as we traveled around and explored/did some bourbon tours. It was super close and near to all the places we chose to go which made it super convenient. The host was also very responsive!
First and foremost I would like to thank Alan for being so helpful and responsive! My trip went very well thanks to the location of the house. After reading a few reviews stating the location wasn't exactly "the best" I was a bit skeptical of staying here. Although that all changed merely minutes after arriving and talking to a neighbor. I also noticed there were kids playing outside, people walking dogs, neighbors sitting on porches and overall smiles coming from most if not all of them. The house itself is a very spacious and beautifully renovated house. You are welcomed with a lot of sunlight after opening the blind and I think that really helps this place feel good. There was plenty of coffee and sugar/cream for us to use which was great in the morning. I noticed there was a good amount of art on the walls which made relaxing that much more relaxing, having something to look at all the time really feels good to me. The floors were very clean and all surfaces seemed thouroughly cleaned before I arrived. My experience here was extremely comfortable and the few questions I had were answered promptly and with great attitude by Alan. Overall this listing is a solid 9/10 and I think others will agree if they stay here. Thanks Alan you rock!!!
We stayed for a basketball tourney at the Expo Center. Easy on and off the Highway. Cute little neighborhood - older area with mixed development and residents - with good restaurants nearby. The owner was highly receptive to all of our questions and requests. Great stay.
We had a lot of fun at the house. The owner was very responsive and extremely helpful. He got back to me on numerous occasions almost instantly.

Mixed Experience
Our stay at this Vrbo rental had its ups and downs. The property manager, Alan, provided excellent communication, and the home has great potential.
However, some issues need addressing. The location, while convenient, was noisy due to its proximity to a major highway. The overall cleanliness was lacking, with dirty floors, bathroom, and furniture. The kitchen was missing essential items like coffee cups and utensils. On-site information, such as Wi-Fi details and check-out instructions, was not provided.
Additionally, the back door's security could be improved, as it flung open during a storm. Lastly, the gaming table and pool sticks need maintenance.
With that said, we believe that with some TLC and attention to detail, this property could become a 5-star rental. We hope our feedback will be helpful for both future guests and the property manager in making the necessary improvements for an exceptional stay.
Was in town for the Farm show with a group of four guys. House was perfect for what we needed. Exactly how it was described. Will likely book again next year. Felt like it was a new rental, clean, just needs some finishing touches and some things added to the kitchen if your taking a family but perfect for a group of guys.
It was a great experience! Loved the house, it was really clean! Cute little house!

Convenient locations for Expo Center
We stayed just for an event at the expo center and it was only a 5/6 minutes drive. The same distant to some very good local restaurants. We had plenty of room for the nine of us. Parking was tight but the neighbors are very friendly and accommodating. It is an older home but nicely remodeled. Our only complaints are the noise from the airplanes and the kitchen needs to be stocked with a few more essential items like forks, spoons and knives. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
